편입과정을 거쳐 입사한 신규간호사의 적응경험 (Adaptation to Clinical Experience by Older Graduate Nurses who Entered Nursing after Graduation in Another Field)

  • Purpose: With the increasing opportunities for students to transfer into nursing from other departments or after graduation, it is important to examine how these students adapt to clinical work in the hospital setting after graduation. This study was done to describe the adaptation experience of older graduate nurses in hospital settings and to understand the meanings and search the nature of their experience. Method: For this study, the participants were 6 nurses who entered nursing after having graduated from college or university in another field. The data were collected through in-depth interviews from March to April 2007 and analyzed by Colaizzi's phenomenological method. Results: The essential themes of the adaptation experience for older graduate nurses were the following 6 categories: taking responsibilities for the expected role according to one's age, following the rules of senior-junior hierarchy, being ambivalent about one's older age, expanding one's support system, getting rid of the concept of age difference and establishing the expected position appropriate for one's career. Conclusion: For older graduate nurses, interpersonal relationship factors were more important than work related factors. Therefore, it is important to create a more flexible nursing culture to ease the adaptation of these older graduate nurses.

사회복지실천의 효율성 증대방안 모색을 위한 사회복지기관의 '숨은 규칙' (implicit rules) 찾기 (Identifying Implicit Rules in Social Work Agencies for the Exploration of Measures to Promote Efficiency of Social Work Practice)

  • This discovery-oriented study explored 31 social workers' perceptions of discrepancies between explicit and implicit rules in their work places that are supposed to affect the quality of social work services, and identified eight categories of dilemmas: (a) confused accountability or purpose, (b) ambiguous principle, (c) improper authority, (d) confused role of social workers, (e) conflict between ideal and reality, (f) confused work ethics, (g) confused boundary of workers' rights, and (h) binds. These eight categories revealed the real philosophy and purposes of social work agencies, work ethics and values prevalent among social work agencies, agencies' orientation toward clients, and the conditions of social support from the society in large. Instead of searching for discrete variables as separately responsible for inefficient social work services, this approach probed malfunctioning implicit rules in a holistic context to see if inefficient or ineffective provision of social work services is a logical response to a much larger and deeper nexus. Insight into discrepant rules does not solely ensure the improvement of social work practice in the field, particularly if their identification is simply used as another opportunity to blame and avoid self-responsibility. However, such discrepancies between implicit and explicit rules are real enough to the staff workers and agency administrators that they may want to begin the dialogue of contradictory rules as a way of sanctioning discussion of previously forbidden topics. This study provided the ground-work for the dialogue.

FLOW AND TEMPERATURE ANALYSIS WITHIN AUTOMOBILE CABIN BY DISCHARGED HOT AIR FROM DEFROST NOZZLE

  • As an automobile tends to be high grade, the needs for more luxurious interior and comfortable HVAC system are emerged. The defrosting ability is another major factor of the performances of HVAC system. The present work is to simulate the flow and the temperature field of cabin interior during the defrost mode. The three-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equations and energy equation were solved on the multi blocked grid system by the iterative time marching method and AF scheme, respectively. The present computations were validated by the comparison of the temperature field of a driven cavity and velocity field of 1/5 model scale of an automobile. Generally good agreements were obtained. By the present computation, the complicated features of flow and temperature within the automotive cabin interior could be well understood.

Stroke변화가 Four-Valve SI 엔진 실린더내 유동장에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Stroke Changes on the In-Cylinder Flow Field in a Four-Valve SI Engines)

  • The flow field inside a cylinder of four-valve Sl engine was investigated quantitatively using a three-dimensional Laser Doppler Velocimetry system, to determine how stroke changes affect the flow field. The purpose of this work was to develop quantitative methods which correlate in-cylinder flows to engine performance. For this study, the sane intake manifold, engine head, cylinder, and the piston were used to examine the flow characteristics in different strokes. Quantification of the flow field was done by calculating three major parameters which are believed to adequately characterize in cylinder motion. These quantities were TKE, tumble and swirl ratios. The LDV results reveal that flow patterns are similar, the flow velocities scale with piston speed but another parameters such as TKE, and tumble and swirl numbers are not the same for different stroke systems.

Semi-automatic Field Morphing : Polygon-based Vertex Selection and Adaptive Control Line Mapping

  • Image morphing deals with the metamorphosis of one image into another. The field morphing depends on the manual work for most of the process, where a user has to designate the control lines. It takes time and requires skills to have fine quality results. It is an object of this paper to propose a method capable of realizing the semi-automation of field morphing using adaptive vertex correspondence based on image segmentation. The adaptive vertex correspondence process efficiently generates a pair of control lines by adaptively selecting reference partial contours based on the number of vertices that are included in the partial contour of the source morphing object and in the partial contour of the destination morphing object, in the pair of the partial contour designated by external control points through user input. The proposed method generates visually fluid morphs and warps with an easy-to-use interface. According to the proposed method, a user can shorten the time to set control lines and even an unskilled user can obtain natural morphing results as he or she designates a small number of external control points.

  • Firstly, the author suggests a new term of the "Pro-Engineer's Doctrine" on every engineering work. This renewed term should be in their minds who are doing any kinds of scientific and technological works in his/her field. The term, "doctrine", is based on a wise sage, renewedly, so-called "The Way of the measuring squire(혈矩之道)" saying in one of the Oriental classics. Also, he explains here another term, "Investigation of things, attainment of knowledge(格物致知)" that is very similarity to the "Pro-Engineer's Doctrine" from the same book.

A Theoretical Approach: the Worker's task Stress and its Association with Job Performance

  • Purpose: Purpose - This study investigates and aims to discuss regarding the employee's work stress and its relationship with employee's workability based on literature content analysis. Finally, this study will provide how employees can manage it and coexist while enjoying the benefits of a stress-free working environment. Research design, data, and methodology - The author collected many textual contexts from mostly peer-reviewed academic journals, which means that academic comprehensive integrity can be obtained by qualitative approach for this study with discussing and following a constructive review analysis. The content analysis aims to determine a textural dataset in the longtime frame from the newest textural information. Result - There is little doubt that this study was significant and relevant to the relationship between employee work stress and workability, indicating how organizations that manage their employees in a stress-free working environment. the present researcher separate the solutions into five categories according to the person or body responsible for the answers. Conclusion - The numerous solutions on how to deal with various stresses, the theoretical aspect of the solutions involving the theories developed by multiple past articles on how to solve work stress. In general, workability and work stress is a very large field of study. Another consideration is the numerous professionalisms in the world, and each has different ways stress is induced in the organization.

  • This study has described the case that has been experienced personally by centering on discords created in railway construction projects while performing practical duties at the construction field. Accordingly, as seen from the experience of performing one method called discord reconciliation conference, it seems that there are many parts to be improved on for the particular details because the conference was progressed by the position of a non professional in its content or procedure. But as seen from the word origin called "discord", looking at the state of finding one solution after another from vagueness of solving difficult and entangled problems, we could sense that the sincere communication and honesty was more progressive method in the phase of looking for one solution after another. Although this essay was centered on a typical case of railway construction project, I hope for it to spread throughout the whole society and especially hope that many discords created in public work sites such as public works would become settled smoothly between the parties concerned.

크기와 회전 변화에 불변 모멘트 알고리즘을 이용한 자동 검사 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Automatic Inspection System using Invariant Moments Algorithm with the Change of Size and Rotation)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a practical image inspection system that could recognize it correctly, endowing flexibility to the productive field, although the same object for work will be changed in the size and rotated. In this experiment, it selected a fighter, rotating the direction from $30^{\circ}$ to $45^{\circ}$ simultaneously while changing the size from 1/4 to 1/16, as an object inspection without using another hardware for exclusive image processing. The invariant moments, Hu has suggested, was used as feature vector moment descriptor. As a result of the experiment, the image inspection system developed from this research was operated in real-time regardless of the chance of size and rotation for the object inspection, and it maintained the correspondent rates steadily above from 94% to 96%. Accordingly, it is considered as the flexibility can be considerably endowed to the factory automation when the image inspection system developed from this research is applied to the productive field.

사회복지전공학생의 실천수행능력에 영향을 미치는 실습지도 요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Field Instruction Related Factors Influencing on the Social Work Students' Practice Performance)

  • 본 연구에서는 직접실천기관에서 실습을 이수한 재학생을 대상으로 실습지도 실태 및 실천수행능력에 영향을 미치는 요인을 조사하였다. 조사결과, 첫째, 수퍼비전 정도는 4점 척도에서 평균 2.6(표준편차 .5), 실천수행능력은 11점 척도에서 평균 56.7(표준편차 1.7)점으로 나타나, 모두 거의 중간수준으로 응답했으며, 수퍼비전 요인 가운데 이론과 실천의 통합에 대한 지도와 지지적인 사적 관계 형성 요인이, 그리고 실천수행능력 요인 가운데 개입기술 능력과 사례관리 능력 요인이 상대적으로 낮게 나타났다. 둘째, 수퍼비전과 실천수행능력의 요인들간의 상관관계는 모두 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 실천수행능력은 수퍼비전 요인 가운데서도 이론과 실천의 통합에 대한 지도가 많을수록, 기관 업무에 대한 지도가 많을수록, 학습계약에 대한 논의를 많이 하고 수퍼비전 시간이 많을수록 증가되는 것으로 나타났다. 이외에 실습생이 여성일 경우, 그리고 수퍼바이저의 수퍼바이저로서의 경력이 적을수록 실천수행능력이 높게 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 대학과 기관에서 협력하여 실습지도를 효과적으로 운영하기 위한 제언을 하였다. 또한 궁극적으로 사회복지 교육의 효과성을 제고하기 위한 연구 및 노력의 필요성을 제기하였다.
