  • Rapid Expansion of EVs(Electric Vehicles) is inevitable trends, to comply with eco-friendly energy paradigm according to Paris Agreement and to solve the environment problems such as global warming. In this paper, we analyze the limit point of transformer acceptable capacity as the increase of power demand considering EVs supply in the near future. Through the analysis of transformer utilization, we suggest methods to analyze the spare capacity of transformer for the case of optimal efficiency operation and emergency operation respectively. We have the results of 18.4~29% spare capacity for the charging infrastructure to the rated capacity of transformer by analyzing the existing sample apartments. It is analyzed that the acceptable number of EVs is 0.09~0.14 for optimal efficiency operation and 0.06~0.13 for emergency operation. Therefore, it is analyzed the power demand of EV will exceed the existing transformer spare capacity in 7~8 years as the annual growth rate of EVs is prospected 112.5% considering current annual growth rate of EVs and the government EV supply policy.

  • A companion animal is a pet which lives and shares emotions with a person. The global pet industry economy has grown in recent times due to increased awareness of companion animals. In Korea, it grew from 800 million US dollars in 2012 to 2 billion US dollars in 2016, about 2.5-fold growth in five years. Within the pet industry, the pet food market occupies the largest market share having a value greater than 70 billion US dollars globally. In China, the average annual growth rate of the pet food industry is estimated at about 30%, and the market size is expected to reach 18 billion US dollars by 2020. The companion food market has potential to be the fastest growing and most viable food market in the future and would be a strategic employment avenue within the food industry. This report articulates the necessity for product development and institutional improvement of companion animal.

  • The seasonal pattern of pool size and withdrawal from senescing or stroage organ, and the annual magintude of internal-and plant-soil cycles for nitrogen and phosphorus in a Glyceria leptolepis Ohwi population in a marsh of the Mt. Geumoh were investigared. The population pool changed from initial size of 6.8 to the maximum of 16.1gN$m^{-2}$ for N and from 1.7 to 3.9g Pm$m^{-2}$ for P, maintaining far higher relative pool size during the first half of the growth period as compared with that for biomass. A sharp increase in N and P pool was noticed in early spring before the biomass growth was recognized, The major process supplying the demand for N and P changed as the growth progressed showing the order; absorption-withdrwal-absorption-with-drawal. The annual magnitude of plant-soil cycle for N and P was 18.0-19.1 and 2.9-3.3gm$m^{-2}$, accounting for 3 and 5% of each nutrient pool in 0-20 cm humus layer, respectively. The higher exent of internal cycle and the lower rate of annual turnover for P(1.08) as compared with those for N may suggest that this population conserves and reuses P more efficiently than N.

  • This study was to estimate total annual volume growth by the measurement of mean tree growth during the last 10 years. Surveyed Forest stand was the second block (20.80 ha.)of Kyung Hee University Forests located at San 58 and 64, Gaegok-Ri, Gapyung-Yeup, Gapyung-Goon, Kyunggi province in Korea. The stand was mainly composed of uneven-aged Pinus densiflora and the estimation of tree volume was conducted by taking the cores at the D.B.H. of the sample tree which was selected by sub-sampling. The results obtained were as follows; 1) The regression between the diameter (D) and diameter growth ($\hat{I}$) was $\hat{I}=0.5499+0.0101D$. 2) The estimated equation of confidence interval for the diameter growth was $S^2{\hat{I}}=0.00817(0.09538-0.00952D+0.00027D^2$) 3) The equation for estimating tree height (H) from diameter was $H=1.32376D^{0.77958}$ 4) The equation for estimating tree volume from diameter and height $V=0.0000622D^{1.6918}H^{1.1397}$ 5) Total annual tree volume growth was $5.4041m^3/ha$, and ranged from 5.6131 to $5.1984m^3/ha$. 6) Annual growth rate of total tree volume and its error were 8.8% and 3.9%, respectively. The annual volume growth per tree for any districts can be estimated by this method, and the annual volume growth will be successfully predicted. Because of poor forest growing stock in Korea, annual amount of allowable cut should not exceed annual tree volume growth for better forest management. Accordingly, annual amount of allowable cut should be either equal to or less than annual tree volume growth for the balanced establishment between timber supply and demand in Korea. Demand shortage will be substituted with imported timber. Such plans enable Korean Government to develop a better policy of forest resources management.

  • The growth of digitaria adscendens and eleusine indica, annual weeds common in japan, was experimentally analyzed under varying untrient conditions. compared with e. indica, d. adscendensshowed a higher the two under high nitrogen availability. Higher net assimilation rate(nar) in d. adscendens than e. india was responsible for high RGR in D. adscendens under the low nitrogen availability. The different of NAR in the two species was induced not by leaf nitrogen content but by nitrogen use efficiency. Under unfertilized conditions nitrogen uptake rate(nur) was greater in d. adscendens than e. indica. Specific absorption rate in two species was similar, but root mass was greater in d. adscendens than e. indica.d. adscendens allocated more dry matter to roots than e. india earlier stage of seedlings. The contributed to higher rot mass and in turn resulted in higher nur in d. adscendens than that in e. india. It is concluuded that the larger allocation of dry matter to roots at early seedling stage in d. adscendens plays an important role in obtaining nitrogen for the continuation of growth under low nitrogen availability.

  • This study aims to investigate whether economic growth is elevated by banking industry development in Jordan. The study adopts time-series econometric methodologies, which comprise the bounds testing approach within the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) and the conditional causality analysis. Consistent with the assumptions of the adopted methodology, the study utilized annual time-series data for a relatively long period of thirty-nine years, between 1980 and 2018. The empirical results show that Jordan's economic growth is strongly responsive in respect to any changes in banking industry development. Also, the results reveal the harmful impact of rising lending interest rate; as this rate increases, economic growth will decrease. The findings are in line with the conceptual arguments of the supply-leading hypothesis, which confirmed that banking development is considered as one of the main pillars that have stimulating effects on economic growth. The evidence of the current study may provide important implications for policymakers and bankers. Those professionals should work to maintain a stable regulatory system that enhances the banking system function in activating economic growth. Also, a considerable focus should be placed on designing a steady interest rate policy to avoid the inherently undesirable impacts of high-interest rates on the Jordanian economy.

  • This study was carried out to describe the growth of Ruditapes philippinarum on Chohwa and Toksan tidal flat in Kwangyang Bay, from June 1994 to July 1995. On the Chohwa tidal flat, the mean gran size, organic content and chlorophyll-a of the surface sediment were the range of 2.50-4.46 , 4.99-5.11%, 14.53-19.90 $\mu\textrm{g}$ cm$\^$-3/, and on the Toksan tidal flat, 0.83-1.66 , 2.22-2.34%, 6.20-6.90 $\mu\textrm{g}$ cm$\^$-3/, respectively. The shell length of R. philippinarum increased rapidly from spring to summer, and gently from summer to autumn, and ceased during winter. Fresh weight increased during spring and autumn, and decreased during summer and winter. condition factors also showed the same variations of weights. Synthesized annual growth pattern of 4 year classes in shell length fitted the von Bertalnffy growth model well. The annual growth of weight fitted the Gompertz model relatively well. The values of w, initial shell growth rate, and AGR$\sub$max/, maximum weight growth rate, on the Chohwa tidal flat were lower than those on the Toksan tidal flat. Comparing the growth patterns in the same tidal flat, growth rate was higher on the lover tidal flat than those on the higher tidal flat. In conclusion, the Chohwa tidal flat maintaining higher density showed lover growth rate, because of relatively insufficient food supply and inhabiting space.

  • The current space activities are soaring ever since the first human flight to outer space 50 years ago and the first satellite launch 54 years ago. 74 space launch vehicles were launched in 2010, up from average 66 yearly in 2000s, and 900 operational satellites are currently in orbit around Earth. Space has become a worthwhile investment for governments as space assets become vital to national social, economic, and technological development as well as contributing their national defense and security program. The world governments' investments on space programs have reached a historical peak of $71.5 billion in 2010. However, the growth of government funding for space has slowed down posting only a 2% growth rate since 2009 while 9 % compound annual growth rate experienced by world's space expenditures between 2004 and 2009. Korea invested $158 million in 2011, experienced strong decrease with a 16% compound annual growth rate since 2008. In this paper the current statuses of world governments' funding for space program and space market were presented and the current issues on the Korean space budget policy were reviewed.

  • Objectives: To analyze the growth pattern of the functional food market in Korea, and thus produce essential information in mapping out a strategy for Korean medicine. Methods: A survey of literature or analysis reports about market changes related to functional foods in Korea was undertaken. Results: The Korean functional food market has been growing rapidly, to 1.4 trillion won in 2012 compared to 250 billion won in 2004, which is an annual growth rate of about 14%. In particular, individually-approved functional food is worthy of notice regarding its growth rate and functional position, which is similar to herbal drugs. The expanding growth of functional food affects negatively the decrease of herbal drug industry in Korea to date. Conclusions: To compete with functional foods, the Korean medicine community needs to develop patient-friendly and cost-effective herbal drugs, and strategies to adopt them as therapeutic modalities.
