Student engagement in high-level, cognitively demanding instruction is pivotal for student learning. However, many teachers are unable to maintain such instruction, especially in instances of non-responsive students. This case study of three middle school teachers explores prompts that aim to move classroom discussions past student silence. Prompt sequences were categorized into Progressing, Focusing, and Redirecting Actions, and then analyzed for maintenance of high levels of cognitive demand. Results indicate that specific prompt types are prone to either raise or diminish the cognitive demand of a discussion. While Focusing Actions afforded students opportunities to process information on a more meaningful level, Progressing Actions typically lowered cognitive demand in an effort to get through mathematics content or a specific method or procedure. Prompts that raise cognitive demand typically start out as procedural or concrete and progress to include students' thoughts or ideas about mathematical concepts. This study aims to discuss five specific implications on how teachers can use prompting techniques to effectively maintain cognitively challenging discourse through moments of student silence.

The ability to transform the chloroplast of Cyanidioschyzon merolae was limited by lack of confirmed and reliable promoter sequences (among other reasons), capable of delivering stable or modulated DNA transcription followed by protein synthesis. Our research has confirmed the applicability of three selected chloroplast promoters in C. merolae chloroplast overexpression of the exogenous protein (i.e., chloramphenicol acetyltransferase) and genetic transformation. These results might facilitate further research on genetically modified strains of C. merolae to envisage yet unknown aspect of cellular and plastic physiology as well as C. merolae potential applications as bio-factories or sources of useful chemicals.

The aim of the present study isto assess the importance of siderophore producing rhizosphere bacteria on the growth of Brassica junceaunder chromium stress. Pseudomonassp. (A4) produced an iron chelating substance siderophores in iron deficient medium. under chromium stress condition Pseudomonassp. (A4) markedly increased the root and shoot length and also biomass of Brassica juncea as compared to Pseudomonas sp. (A3). This plant growth promotion has been related to the microbial production of siderophore.

Remarks on polyphenolic compounds has been arisen since past few years. the flavonoids appears to be the important groups of compounds with their capability to inhibit DNA damage, lipid peroxidation, to quench free radicals and, at least, anticarcinogenic and antiproliferative effects. On the other hand, their mechanism of action is still unexplained. Apigenin and luteolin are the most wide-spread flavones and they exhibited to be useful in chemoprevention. UV spectrometric and DC polarographic studies on these two compounds have been carried out with regard to changing pH. The most significant changes were observed at basic pH. These results could aid to elucidation of their mechanism of action as pH is one of the important factors for bioprocesses passing in living organisms.

Based on the scientific and pedagogical analysis of the theory and experience of teaching computer science disciplines, the didactic mechanism for ensuring the continuity of the average (full) general and higher professional education of economists for practical implementation innovative technology of personal experience foundation. The pedagogical conditions for the formation of information competence, including laboratory, design, research work, the use of active teaching methods for acquiring management skills in production and activities of the enterprise. An indispensable requirement for the conditions for the implementation of basic of educational programs is the assessment of competencies. With this the goal was to develop criteria and levels of formation information competence of future economists and carried out complex diagnostics.

MPEG - IoMT(Internet of Media Things) 는 사물 인터넷 및 웨어러블 환경에서의 효율적인 미디어 서비스 제공을 위한 데이터 포맷 및 API(Application Programming Interface) 표준을 제공하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 MPEG - IoMT 에 채택된 헬스케어(healthcare) 정보 서술 툴에 대한 IoMT 참조 SW 에서의 검증 실험내용을 기술한다. IoMT 는 의료영상 저장/관리 및 통신을 위한 표준인 DICOM (Digital Imaging a nd Communication in Medical)을 기반으로 의료 미디어 정보를 기술하기 위한 Healthcare Information 스키마(schema)와 이를 기반으로 서술된 정보를 IoT 및 웨어러블 환경에서 활용하기 위한 API 표준을 포함하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 IoMT 참조 SW 를 이용하여 헬스케어 스키마에 따른 헬스케어 정보의 생성 및 파싱(parsing) 을 검증하고, 서술정보를 MThing (Media Thing) 들 간의 교환을 위한 API 에 대한 검증 내용을 보인다.

The aim of this article is to estimate the coefficient bounds of certain subclasses of analytic functions. We claim that this is a novel and unique effort in combining the coefficient functional along with the new domains and the probability distributions which have not been found or are available in the literature of coefficients bounds. Here the authors analyze these bounds in the special domains associated with exponential function and sine function. Further we obtain Fekete-Szegö inequalities for the defined subclasses of analytic functions defined through Poisson distribution series and Pascal distribution series.

최근 기계와 인간과의 소통을 위한 유저 인터페이스 기술에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있으며, 특히 착용형 디바이스에 관한 연구에 집중되고 있다. 전통적인 UI가 갖는 부자연스러움과 응용프로그램과의 병목현상 발생에 대한 해결 방안으로 다양한 상호작용 요소를 포함하는 자연스러운 UI 기술이 제안 되고 있으며, UI 기술이 필수적인 착용형 디바이스와 함께 논의가 필요하다. 본 논문은 착용형 디바이스와 사용자 인터페이스 기술과 연구 동향에 대해 살펴보며, 이를 기반으로 착용형 디바이스의 핵심기술과 디바이스 형태별 UI 기술에 대해서 논의한다.

VANET is an upcoming technology with an encouraging prospect as well as great challenges, specifically in its security. This paper intends to survey such probable attacks and the correlating detection mechanisms that are introduced in the literature. Accordingly, administering security and protecting the owner's privacy has become a primary argument in VANETs. To furnish stronger security and preserve privacy, one should recognize the various probable attacks on the network and the essence of their behavior. This paper presents a comprehensive survey on diversified attacks and the recommended unfolding by the various researchers which concentrate on security services and the corresponding countermeasures to make VANET communications more secure.
