도로 성토 시 인근 구조물에 각변위기준 적용에 있어 계측시스템의 한계성 (Limitation of Measurement System in Application of Angular Distortion Criterion to Structure Near Road Embankment)

  • 부등침하로 인한 각변위는 구조물의 안정성과 사용성에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요소 중 하나이다. 실무에서는 현재 Bjerrum이 제안한 각변위기준이 널리 사용되고 있다. 하지만 현재 도로 성토 현장에서 적용하고 있는 계측시스템은 구조물의 각변위를 적합하게 나타내지 못하고 있다. 이와 같은 문제는 충분하지 못한 계측 수, 부정확한 계측기 설치, 계측된 자료의 해석에 있어 각변위 기본개념의 잘못된 이해 등과 관련이 된다. 본 연구에서 도로 성토 현장에서 얻어진 데이터의 분석을 통해 이와 같은 문제점을 규명하였다. 도로 성토 현장에서 적용할 수 있는 자동화된 상대변위 계측시스템이라는 개선된 계측시스템을 제안하였다.

비연성된 지배방정식을 이용한 각가속도를 갖는 회전원판의 동적 안정성 해석 (Dynamic Stability Analysis of a Spinning Disk with Angular Acceleration by Using the Uncoupled Governing Equations)

  • Dynamic stability of a flexible spinning disk with angular acceleration is considered. To avoid the coupling between the in-plane and out-of-plane displacements, the linearized strain-displacement relations are used in the Kirchhoff plate theory. The uncoupled governing equations are derived by using Hamilton's principle with considering the angular acceleration. Numerical tests show that existence of the angular acceleration makes a spinning disk dynamically unstable.

  • A homogeneous circular disk undergoing a contact force is considered to investigate the thermo-elastic characteristics, and the inquiry is based on the variations of outer surface temperature and angular velocity. The intensity of stresses grows with the increase of outer surface temperature, and the circumferential strain reacts more sensitively to the change of outer surface temperature than the radial strain. In general, higher angular velocity produces; (i) larger expansion in the radial direction, (ii) smaller displacement in the circumferential, (iii) diminished intensity in the stresses. It is demonstrated that outer surface temperature and angular velocity are critical factors in the determination of thermo-elastic characteristics of homogeneous circular disks subjecting to a contact force. The results obtained can be applied on the design of a homogeneous circular cutter to promote proper and reliable thermos-elastic characteristics in service by the proper operation of these parameters.

요추부 척추관 협착증의 후방 감압술에서 후방 인대의 보존 여부와 술 후 척추 불안정성과의 연관성: 포트홀(Port-Hole) 감압술과 후궁 아전절제술 간 비교 연구 (Preservation of the Posterior Ligaments for Preventing Postoperative Spinal Instability in Posterior Decompression of Lumbar Spinal Stenosis: Comparative Study between Port-Hole Decompression and Subtotal Laminectomy)

  • 목적: 요추부 척추관 협착증에서의 후방 감압술 시 극간인대 및 극상인대의 보존이 술 후 척추 불안정성의 예방에 미치는 영향에 대하여 밝히고자 했다. 대상 및 방법: 2014년 3월부터 2017년 3월까지 요추부 척추관 협착증에서 후방 감압술을 시행하고 1년 이상 추시관찰한 83명의 환자를 후향적으로 연구하였다. 대상자들을 수술의 종류에 따라 포트홀 감압술을 시행한 56명의 환자는 그룹 A로, 후궁 아전절제술을 시행한 27명의 환자는 그룹 B로 분류하였다. 임상적 결과를 평가하기 위해 Oswestry disability index (ODI), 요통과 방사통에 대한 시각통증점수(visual analogue scale, VAS), 신경성 간헐적 파행(neurogenic intermittent claudication, NIC) 전 보행거리가 수술 전후로 측정되었다. 영상의학적 결과를 평가하기 위해 수술 전 및 수술 후 매 6개월마다 직립상태에서 측면 및 굴곡-신전 단순 방사선 사진을 촬영해 전위 정도(slip percentage), 역동적 전위 정도(dynamic slip percentage), 각변위(angular displacement), 역동적 각변위(dynamic angular displacement)를 측정하였다. 결과: ODI (그룹 A에서 28.1에서 12.8로 호전; 그룹 B에서 27.3에서 12.3으로 호전), 요통에 대한 VAS (그룹 A에서 7.0에서 2.6로 호전; 그룹 B에서 7.7에서 3.2로 호전), 방사통에 대한 VAS (그룹 A에서 8.5에서 2.8로 호전; 그룹 B에서 8.7에서 2.9로 호전), 그리고 NIC 전 보행 거리(그룹 A에서 118.4 m에서 1,496.2 m로 증가; 그룹 B에서 127.6 m에서 1,481.6 m로 증가)는 두 그룹 모두에서 호전되었다. 다른 영상의학적 결과들에서 유의한 차이가 없었던 반면 역동적 각변위는 술 후 두 그룹간에 유의한 차이를 보였다(그룹 A에서 6.2°에서 6.7°로 증가; 그룹 B에서 6.5°에서 8.4°로 증가; p-value=0.019). 결론: 요추부 척추관 협착증에서의 후방 감압술시 극간인대 및 극상인대를 포함한 후방 인대의 제거는 술 후 역동적 각변위의 증가를 초래하며 후방 인대를 보존하는 포트홀(port-hole) 감압술을 통해 이를 예방할 수 있다.

정상 성인 남녀의 선 자세에서 비예측적 지지면 이동 시체간 안정성과 균형능력 비교 (Gender Difference in Trunk Stability and Standing Balance during Unexpected Support Surface Translation in Healthy Adults)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to clarify the gender difference during standing balance in accordance with recruitment of abdominal muscles against sudden support surface translation. Methods: Twenty healthy males (n = 10, $26.50{\pm}3.54$ years, $170.60{\pm}6.30cm$, $72.80{\pm}5.69kg$) and females (n = 10, $24.40{\pm}2.63$ years, $163.00{\pm}4.97cm$, $52.10{\pm}4.41kg$) participated in the study. Each subject performed standing balance task on a platform, which moved in the anterior and posterior direction, with a total of 18 trials in three abdominal conditions (resting, hollowing, and bracing). We analyzed angular displacement of thoracic and lumbar spine and linear displacement of center of mass for evaluatione of spinal stability and standing balance, respectively. Results: Angular displacement of thoracic and lumbar spine and linear displacement of center of mass did not differ significantly between female and male in all conditions. Conclusion: Our results indicate that the ability to maintain spinal stability and standing balance were similar between male and female regardless of the abdominal contractile conditions and the direction of support surface translation.

반복학습제어기를 이용한 자석식 자동 파이프 절단 로봇의 제어 (Control of Automatic Pipe Cutting Robot with Magnet Binder Using Learning Controller)

  • Tracking control of an automatic pipe cutting robot (APCROMB) is studied. Using magnetic force APCROMB, which is designed and developed in Kyung Hee University, binds itself to the pipe and executes unmanned cutting process. The gravity effect on the movement of APCROMB varies as it rotates around the cylindrical pipe laid in the gravitational field. To maintain a constant velocity and consistent cutting performance against the varying gravitational effect, the authors adopt a multi-rate repetitive learning controller (MRLC), which learns the required effort to cancel the repetitive tracking errors caused by nonlinear effect. In addition to the varying gravity effect other types of nonlinear disturbances including backlash in the driving system and the slip between the wheels of APCROMB and the pipe also cause degradation in the cutting process. In order to identify those nonlinear disturbances the position estimation based on the encoder attached at the motor is not good enough. To identify the absolute angular position of APCROMB the authors propose the angular position estimation based on the signals from a MEMS-type two-axis accelerometer mounted on APCROMB. The tracking performances of APCROMB with a MRLC using the encoder-based position estimation is experimentally measured and results are shown. Also the difference between the encoder-based angular displacement measurement and the accelerometerbased angular displacement measurement is included.

태권도 돌려차기 시 분절들의 반동동작 (Countermovement of the Segments During the Tae-kwon-do Roundhouse Kicking)

  • Two subjects, an expert and a novice, were carefully selected based upon their foot speed. Three dimensional videography was used in the assessment of roundhouse kicking of the Tae-kwon-Do. The local reference frames were imbedded at the trunk, pelvis, thigh and shank. Anatomical angular displacement at the joints were measured by projecting the upper segment's local axes to the lower segment's local reference planes. The local axes again projected to the global reference frames and absolved each segment's movement. The peaks of the anatomical angular displacement curve assessed as the countermovements and the angular movements of the segments in the global space absolved in light of the occurrence of the countermovements. The expert showed larger and more countermovements than the novice at the all segments. The counterrnovement occured more clearly at the trunk than the hip and knee joint and during the preparative movement phase. These countermovements occurrence were due to either by turning upper or lower segments and controlled by the turning direction and sequence of the two nearby segments. It was revealed that the countermovements of the trunk during the preparative movement phase was the important factor of the power kicking.

유체유동을 갖는 회전 외팔 파이프의 동특성에 미치는 끝단질량의 영향 (The Influence of Tip-mass on Dynamic Characteristics of Rotating Cantilever Pipe Conveying Fluid)

  • The vibrational system of this study is consisted of a rotating cantilever pipe conveying fluid and the tip mass. The equation of motion is derived by using the Lagrange equation. The influences of the rotating angular velocity and the velocity of fluid flow in a cantilever pipe have been studied on the dynamic characteristics of a rotating cantilever pipe by the numerical method. The effects of a tip mass on the dynamic response of a cantilever pipe are also studied. The tip-amplitude and maximum tip-deflection of each direction are directly proportional to the tip mass of the cantilever pipe in steady state. It identifies that the influence of the fluid velocity and the rotating angular velocity of the cantilever pipe give much variation the bending tip-displacement of steady state and the bending tip-displacement of non-steady state, respectively. The influence of the rotating angular velocity gives much the deflection of axial direction.

SMART용 제어봉구동장치에 장착되는 위치측정기의 전자장해석 (Electromagnetic Analysis of Angular Position Detector for SMART Control Element Drive Mechanism)

  • An advanced angular position detector (APD) for the SMART CEDM (control element drive mechanism) was designed. The APD is required to be small size with high resolution for angular displacement of rotary step motor. Unfortunately the proximity sensors can not be adopted to SMART CEDM because the motor shaft is located in the pressure boundary cylinder filled with the primary coolant under high temperature and pressure. This paper describes the electromagnetic finite element analysis for the design of advanced angular position detector for the SMART CEDM. The electromagnetic properties obtained will be used as Input for the optimization analysis of the APD.

농업기계 요소의 스트레인 게이지 응용에 관한 연구 (Applications of Strain Gages to Farm Machine Elements)

  • The aim of this study was to promote extensive use of strain gage for accurate measurement in the area of farm machinery research. The results are summarized as follows. 1. Although many strain gate transducers commercially available such as load-cells , accelerometers and pressure transducers have been used in the area of farm machinery research, many types of transducers had to be developed due to the inadaptability or high cost commercial transducers, in many instances. 2. A strain -gaged cantilever beam could be used as a good educational material to demonstrate the methods of Wheatstone bridge arrangement, calibration and theoreticval computation. A ring type load-cell and shaft torque transducer also could be used for the same purpose. 3. The torque and angular speed transducers for an auto-feed thresher and the displacement and pressure transducers for a rice whitener were made and gave satisfactory results. 4. Based on the above results, it is possible to develop simple and low-cost transducers to measure displacement, angular speed , torque and pressure of farm machine elements.
