알루미늄 원통컵의 스피닝 성형성에 영향미치는 작업조건 연구 (Influence of Working Conditions on the Spinnability of Cylindrical Cups of Aluminum Sheet Metal)

  • Many researchers have, nowadays, studied on spinning which can produce highly qualified products by CNC spinning machine equipped with hydraulic devices. The products have continuous metal flow which improves fatigue life, yield point, tensile strength and hardness. This study is to investigate the influence of various working conditions on the spinnability of cylindrical cups such as feed rate(ν), feed pitch(p), angle of roller holder(α), and the inclination angle of first roller path. Through experiments the feed rate of (0.4∼0.7) mm/rev was shown to give the drawing ratio of 2.5 when the angle of roller holder was 5°, However, by increasing the angle of roller holder from 5°to 20°, the range of feed rate which can produce deeper cups became wider and the spinnability was also improved. The optimum working conditions, for the maximum formability of aluminum sheet metal as well as dimensional accuracy of spun cups, are presented and discussed.

  • The flow turning process, an incremental forming process, is a cost-effective forming method for axi-symmetric intricate parts to net shape. However, the flow turning process shows a fairly complicated deformation, it is very difficult to obtain satisfactory results. Therefore extensive experimental and analytical research has not been carried out. In this study, an fundamental experiment was conducted to improve productivity with process parameters such as tool path, angle of roller holder($\alpha$), feed rate(v ) and comer radius of forming roller(Rr). These factors were selected as variables in the experiment because they were most likely expected to have an effect on spring back. The clearance was controlled in order to achieve the precision product which is comparable to deep drawing one. And also thickness and diameter distributions of a multistage cup obtained by flow turning process were observed and compared with those of a commercial product produced by conventional deep drawing.

  • The spinning is a very effective manufacturing technology for short production runs in a variety of sizes and shapes, because it can form the cross-section or tubular parts various shapes. However extensive experimental and analytical research has not been carried out.   • Spinning process is a chipless metal forming method for axi-symmetric parts, which is more economical, efficient and versatile method of producing parts than the other sheet metal forming process such as stamping or deep drawing. It is a point deformation process where a metal disc. cylinderical workpiece. or preform in contact with a rotating chuck is plastically deformed by axial or axial-radial Motions of a tool or roller. in this study the variation of spring back with respect to various forming roller corner radius(Rr) and angle of roller holder($\alpha$) is investigated. Good as a result will help to get more precise shape by control of spring back.

빌트인 가전기기용 고 중량 도어힌지의 설계에 관한 연구 (Design of Heavy Weight Door Hinge for Built-in Appliances)

  • In this study, the hinges of heavy weight doors were designed and analyzed in line with the trend that built-in appliances are becoming larger and the weight of doors is also increasing. The main specification of the heavy weight door hinge is to allow the deflection at the end of the door to be less than 2 mm when opening and closing, including the automatic closing, slow closing, and closing force control functions. The structural analysis of the design mechanism, component design, and methods for improving the deflection are as follows: 1) Mechanism of the automatic closing function should sense automatically using the spring compression force at a specific angle by the contact between the cam and the cam module roller. 2) Through structural analysis, the maximum stress of the door was found in the link pin hole connected to the pin at each link. 3) Consequently, the pin holder was designed and applied, with little variance, but up to 93% of the specification limit.
