  • Recently, Digital Information Display(DID) technologies have been used to advertise the various contents such as video, image, text and etc. However most of recent DIDs are still using the traditional one directional advertising mechanism delivering the contents only to the customers. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of an App Scheduler on Android platform to effectively manage the Android Apps related to the advertisement which can attract customers' attention and reflect their ideas in the advertisement.

  • Android uses app cache files to improve app execution performance. However, this optimization technique may raise security issues that need to be examined. In this paper, we present a practical design of "Android app cache manipulation attack" to intentionally modify the cache files of a target app, which can be misused for stealing personal information and performing malicious activities on target apps. Even though the Android framework uses a checksum-based integrity check to protect app cache files, we found that attackers can effectively bypass such checks via the modification of checksum of the target cache files. To demonstrate the feasibility of our attack design, we implemented an attack tool, and performed experiments with real-world Android apps. The experiment results show that 25 apps (86.2%) out of 29 are vulnerable to our attacks. To mitigate app cache manipulation attacks, we suggest two possible defense mechanisms: (1) checking the integrity of app cache files; and (2) applying anti-decompilation techniques.

  • In this paper, we design and implement a worker musculoskeletal assessment platform. The three core components of this platform are the Mobile App, the Modeling Server, and the Web Platform. The Mobile App is an Android application developed in Kotlin, targeting Android platform 12 (S) and Android API Level 31 devices. The app utilizes the camera to capture various worker motion data and transmits it to the Modeling Server. The Modeling Server is implemented using Node.js. This server converts the worker's motion data-such as points, skeleton, and x, y, z coordinate data, measured by the mobile app-into multidimensional arrays. It then applies machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow and Keras to predict the worker's posture. The worker posture learning model is built using Teachable Machine. The Web Platform is developed using React and visualizes the worker's movements as 3D animations along a timeline. The machine learning-based worker musculoskeletal assessment platform developed in this paper aims to contribute to minimizing musculoskeletal disorders in workers at industrial sites.

  • Since only one application has monopoly on LCD device of the mobile device in Android platform, the user can not see two screens together displayed by two applications running simultaneously. In this paper, a dual-app has been defined as two mobile applications running on each device of a pair of two mobile devices and DSAP or Dual Screen Android Platform has been implemented. DSAP does remote-execution of the peer application of a dual-app on the peer mobile device when either application of the dual-app starts to run and supports communication of the pair app over the network. This paper describes details of design and implementation of DSAP and shows a sample case utilizing DSAP.

  • Smart device appeared as IT technology develops and it caused the proliferation of digital contents. It is because that App technology supports to install and use the contents in the smart device easily. App is developed by the creativity and the programming skill and the commercial value is generated in the process of development. In this paper, we taught how to develop APP to elementary school students by Android App Inventor program and observed the changes of their thinking through reflection-note which describes thinking of them. This research was carried out for 28 elementary school students, 5th and 6th grade. We found the attitude that students try to solve problem actively with the high interest. They enjoy showing developed App to others easily and quickly, which is the characteristic of smart devices. We also found a phenomenon that the students consider commercial value.

However, many electronic bulletin board as a one-way information passed by the interactivity is lacking. In this paper, the interaction of the information, while maintaining an electronic bulletin board that can be operated on a variety of platforms, the Android-based software and hardware for the design and implementation. The interaction of users of electronic bulletin boards, and information can be naturally-type content support Android framework was designed to allow Android APP. Android APP using the administrator also was designed automatic installation and FORUMS so that you can run. Naturally gather information, and all the people that interact through bulletin boards, so you can take advantage.

  • In this paper, we developed a web-based DApp system based on a private blockchain by applying machine learning techniques to automatically identify Android malicious apps that are continuously increasing rapidly. The optimal machine learning model that provides 96.2587% accuracy for Android malicious app identification was selected to the authorized experimental data, and automatic identification results for Android malicious apps were recorded/managed in the Hyperledger Fabric blockchain system. In addition, a web-based DApp system was developed so that users who have been granted the proper authority can use the blockchain system. Therefore, it is possible to further improve the security in the Android mobile app usage environment through the development of the machine learning-based Android malicious app identification block chain DApp system presented. In the future, it is expected to be able to develop enhanced security services that combine machine learning and blockchain for general-purpose data.

  • In this paper, we introduce a system that tracks and shares the position of objects based on tags. After receiving the location information of objects through the tag location tracking app, the location of the tag is shared as a group, and the shared users also check the location of objects in real time. Our system offer a differentiated function that allows multiple users to manage and supervise the location of objects, compared to legacy systems. The GPS module and Bluetooth are connected to the Arduino board to obtain the location information of the tag and check it through the Android app. We used Android Studio to create app, and the tag brings up the location of the object. The location of the tag is stored in the phpMyadmin DB and the latitude/longitude is received to the Android app and displayed on the map of the app. The proposed system will be useful for loss prevention and managing public goods.

  • In recent, android application developments have been done widely that intensify smart phone utilization. In this paper, we propose a curriculum that undergraduate students can improve their mobile programming abilities as well as integrate experiences of application development based on android. And also a series of practices to advance their sense of accomplishment are added by offering an opportunity to carry out a real project to use a variety of sensors embedded in smart phone during the course of study. The project is composed of a series of modules for implementing a trekking App that helpful to people who enjoy spending time in outdoors through their favorite activities such as trekking, cycling, and climbing with their own smart phones. Through practical curriculum operation and project implementation, we show that the proposed curriculum is appropriate to a mobile programming education that combine learning and practice.
