  • This paper presents a statistical approach to analyze electrical tree inception voltage, electrical tree breakdown voltage and tree breakdown time of unsaturated polyester resin subjected to AC voltage. The aim of this work was to show that Weibull and lognormal distribution may not be the most suitable distributions for analysis of electrical treeing data. In this paper, an investigation of statistical distributions of electrical tree inception voltage, electrical tree breakdown voltage and breakdown time data was performed on 108 leaf-like specimen samples. Revelations from the test results showed that Johnson SB distribution is the best fit for electrical tree inception voltage and tree breakdown time data while electrical tree breakdown voltage data is best suited with Wakeby distribution. The fitting step was performed by means of Anderson-Darling (AD) Goodness-of-fit test (GOF). Based on the fitting results of tree inception voltage, tree breakdown time and tree breakdown voltage data, Johnson SB and Wakeby exhibit the lowest error value respectively compared to Weibull and lognormal.

  • The purpose of this study is to measure the satisfaction level of user experience of athlesure brand community by generation through surveys, and to derive satisfaction level according to consumption taste by generation. As a tool for measuring brand community, a questionnaire written Creating Pleasurable Interfaces Model of Stephen P. Anderson was used and was conducted focusing on women in their 10s-40s, which are the main consumers. As a result of the survey, the community participation rate and satisfaction level are significantly different depending on the consumption tendency of each generation. In addition, focused on task satisfaction was high, but focused on experience satisfaction was relatively low. It was found that there is a need for a plan to improve satisfaction based on experience for revitalization of online and offline communities in the future. Through this study, we expect the use of consumer-centered brand communities and brand communities according to the satisfaction level of consumption demand by generation and consumption preference by demand.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze personalized contents and previews of OTT service based on user experience and to suggest the improvements of the preview viewing experience. Current domestic OTT mobile applications were researched to find out how services are offering content. Plus, the 20s-30s were recruited to analyze user experience. An online survey and in-depth interview were conducted by using Stephen P. Anderson's Creating Pleasurable Interface Model. As a result, preview help users to select content but it doesn't suit their taste. Also, the preview is hard to watch however they want. Therefore, it can be inferred that the preview requires the function for improving efficiency, preference, and accessibility. This study is expected to be used as research material on user experience or preview experience of OTT content.

  • Objectives : This study analyzed the factors that determine the use and type of medical examination services (MES) to develop a model explaining the use behavior of MES which could consequently contribute to policy implications for medical examinations. Methods : Based on Anderson's healthcare utilization model, the MES utilization model was developed by including the perceived needs for MES. The data were collected from an online survey of a population aged 20-39 years and from a telephone survey of a population aged 40 years or older, respectively. Chi-Square tests and hierarchical logistic regression analyses were done with SAS version 9.3. Results : Generally, as health status became lower, the use of MES increased. However, patients with two or more chronic diseases were less likely to use private MES compared to patients with one chronic disease. The perceived needs for MES were only related to the use of service and not to the choice of the MES type. Conclusions : There were different results for the significant determinants between the use of the MES and the choice of the MES type. The healthcare industry needs to aware of consumer needs to provide MES based on empirical findings.

  • 기존의 GRM(Grid based rainfall-Runoff Model)에서는 강우-유출 사상에 대한 유출 모의를 주요 대상으로 하였다.

  • The objective of this study is to perform outlier analysis to obtain the distribution of groundwater levels through the best model. The groundwater levels are measured in 10, 25 and 30 piezometers in Seoul, Daejeon and Suncheon in South Korea. Fifty-eight empirical distribution functions were applied to determine a suitable fit for the measured groundwater levels. The best fitted models based on the measured values are determined as the Generalized Pareto distribution, the Johnson SB distribution and the Normal distribution for Seoul, Daejeon and Suncheon, respectively; the reliability is estimated through the Anderson-Darling method. In this study, to choose the appropriate confidence interval, the relationship between the amount of outlier data and the confidence level is demonstrated, and then the 95% is selected at a reasonable confidence level. The best model shows a smaller error ratio than the GEV while the Mahalanobis distance and outlier labelling methods results are compared and validated. The outlier labelling and Mahalanobis distance based on median shown higher validated error ratios compared to their mean equivalent suggesting, the methods sensitivity to data structure.

  • Modeling for complex reacting flow in Fischer-Tropsch reactor is one of the challenges in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). It is hard to derive each and every reaction rate for all chemical species because Fisher-Tropsch reaction produces many kinds of hydrocarbons which include lots of isomers. To overcome this problem, after analyzing the existing methodologies for reaction rate modeling, non-Anderson-Schulz-Flory methodology is selected to model the detailed reaction rates. In addition, the inside flow has feature of multi-phase flow, and the methodologies for modeling multi-phase flow depend on the interference between the phases, distribution of the dispersed phase, flow pattern, etc. However, existing studies have used a variety of inside flow modeling methodologies with no basis or rationale for the feasibility. Modeling inside flow based on the experimental observation of the flow would be the best way, however, with limited resources we infer the probable regime of inside flow based on conventional fluid dynamics theory; select the appropriate methodology of Mixture model; and perform systematic CFD modeling. The model presented in this study is validated through comparisons between experimental data and simulation results for 10 experimental conditions.

  • Between 2010 and 2012, former Bank of Japan Governor Shirakawa argued, in series of speeches, that Japan's economic performance, when compared to that of other G7 nations, was stronger after 1990 than appreciated by the critics. In May 2012, Nobel prize-winning economist and Princeton University professor Paul Krugman echoed a similar sentiment in a Financial Times interview. This analysis expands on these assertions and asks to what extent they are supported by cross-section data for the G7. As reviewed below, to date, no idiosyncratic explanation has arisen to explain the Japanese slowdown-perhaps this is the correct explanation: the slowdown in Japan, once adjusted for demographics, is less severe than in other G7 countries and, as recently noted by Eichengreen, Park, and Shin (2015), TFP growth in a number of other nations followed similar patterns. Focused on labor productivity, far from a laggard, Japan's performance ranks near the best in the G7.

  • Theory of Earth's free oscillation is revisited. Firstly, we summarized the underlying formulations, such as the equation of motion and its conversion into numerically integrable form and then explained computational procedures including the treatment of inner core-outer core boundary and core-mantle boundary, while the latter information has not been explicitly given in most publications. Secondly, we re-calculated the periods of Earth's free oscillation modes (period >200 s) for PREM model. In doing so we acquired the values of modes missing in Dziewonski and Anderson (1981). As a case observation, one seismogram after 2011 Tohoku earthquake recorded at Daejeon, Korea (KIGAM seismic station) was briefly analyzed to identify free oscillation mode excitations on its spectra. The material in this article will be most clear guide for those on calculating the Earth's free oscillation mode.
