Rapid depletion of fossil based oil, coal and gas reserves and its greater demand day by day necessitates the search for other alternatives. Severe environmental impacts caused by the fossil fire based power plants and the escalating fuel costs are the major challenges faced by the electricity supply industry. Integration of Distributed Generators (DG) especially, wind and solar systems to the grid has been steadily increasing due to the concern of clean environment. This paper focuses on a new simple and fast load flow algorithm named Backward Forward Sweep Algorithm (BFSA) for finding the voltage profile and power losses with the integration of various sizes of DG at different locations. Genetic Algorithm (GA) based BFSA is adopted in finding the optimal location and sizing of DG to attain an improved voltage profile and considerable reduced power loss. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is more efficient in finding the optimal location and sizing of DG in 15-bus radial distribution system (RDS).The authenticity of the placement of optimized DG is assured with other DG placement techniques.

We have recognized that an organization should be viewed from a multifaceted perspective necessitating a sophisticated analytical and systematic approach to monitor and improve organizational performance. Although some performance measurement systems have been proposed and are currently being used in many organizations, no performance measurement system has presented a mechanism for integrating all of the information of performance measures in a way that considers relationships between them. This paper introduces the implementation of the performance information integration method(PIIM) which synthesizes all useful information of performance measures with consideration of the relationship and generates a single, global, organizational performance score. The PIIM was empirically validated by implementing in one of Missouri Veterans Homes
A 3-dimensional compressible turbulent boundary layer solver has been developed. A time marching method is used to integrate the turbulent boundary layer equations. While the direct integration of the boundary layer equations is performed for unseparated flow regions, the inverse integration is performed for separated flow regions. The program is verified for flows that have analytical solutions or other numerical results. The solver will be merged with an Euler solver for viscous-inviscid interaction.

A series of parametric study was performed for the investigation of the influence of several analysis parameters to the solution behavior in the elasti-plastic-static analysis of sheet metal forming. The parameters taken into the consideration in the present study are finite element mesh distribution and numerical integration scheme, The elstic-plastic-static analysis was performed for two cases : deflection by a point force bending by a punch Results obtained with different selections of the parameters were compared with each other experimental measurements and analytical solutions.
The objective of this study is to present an accurate and simple method to describe the motion of constrained mechanical or structural systems. The proposed method is an elimination method to require less effort in computing Moore-Penrose inverse matrix than the generalized inverse method provided by Udwadia and Kalaba. Considering that the results by numerical integration of the derived second-order differential equation to describe constrained motion veer away the constrained trajectories, this study presents a numerical integration scheme to obtain more accurate results. Applications of holonomically or nonholonomically constrained systems illustrate the validity and effectiveness of the proposed method.
The formulation of a non-linear shear deformable shell element is presented for the solution of stability problems of stiffened plates and shells. The formulation of the geometrical stiffness presented here is exactly defined on the midsurface and is efficient for analyzing stability problems of thick plates and shells by incorporating bending moment and transverse shear resultant force. As a result of the explicit integration of the tangent stiffness matrix, this formulation is computationally very efficient in incremental nonlinear analysis. The element is free of both membrane and shear locking behaviour by using the assumed strain method such that the element performs very well in the thin shells. By using six degrees of freedom per node, the present element can model stiffened plate and shell structures. The formulation includes large displacement effects and elasto-plastic material behaviour. The material is assumed to be isotropic and elasto-plastic obeying Von Mises's yield condition and its associated flow rules. The results showed good agreement with references and computational efficiency.
The iterative decomposition coupling formulation of the precise integration finite element method (FEM) and the time domain boundary element method (TD-BEM) is presented for elstodynamic problems. In the formulation, the FEM node and the BEM node are not required to be coincident on the common interface between FEM and BEM sub-domains, therefore, the FEM and BEM are independently discretized. The force and displacement converting matrices are used to transfer data between FEM and BEM nodes on the common interface between the FEM and BEM sub-domains, to renew the nodal variables in the process of the iterations for the un-coincident FEM node and BEM node. The iterative coupling formulation for elastodynamics in current paper is of high modeling accuracy, due to the semi-analytical solution incorporated in the precise integration finite element method. The decomposition coupling formulation for elastodynamics is verified by examples of a cantilever bar under a Heaviside-type force and a harmonic load.

Steel structures with added viscoelastic dampers are analysed to investigat their behavior under earthquake excitation. The direct integration method, which produces exact solution for the non-proportional or non-classical damping system, is used throughout the analysis. The results from modal strain energy method are also provided for comparison. Then a new analytical a, pp.oach, based on the rigid floor diaphragm assumption and matrix condensation technique, is introduced, and the results are compared with those obtained from direct integration method and modal strain energy method. The well known phenomenon, that the effectiveness of the viscoelastic dampers depends greatly on the location of the dampers, is once again confirmed in the analysis. It is also found that the modal strain energy method generaly underestimates the responses obtained from the direct integration method, especially when the dampers are placed in only a part of the building. The proposed method turns out to be very efficient with considerable saving in computation this and reasonably accurate considering the reduced degrees of freedom.
Most researches on the corporate credit rating are generally classified into the area of bankruptcy prediction and bond rating. The studies on bankruptcy prediction have focused on improving the performance in binary classification problem, since the criterion variable is categorical, bankrupt or non-bankrupt. The other studies on bond rating have predicted the credit ratings, which was already evaluated by bond rating experts. The financial institute, however, should perform effective loan evaluation and risk management by employing the corporate credit rating model, which is able to determine the credit of corporations. Therefore, in this study we present a medium sized corporate credit rating system by using Artificial Neural Network(ANN) and Analytical Hierarchy Process(AHP). Also, we developed AHP model for credit rating using non-financial information. For the purpose of completed credit rating model, we integrated the ANN and AHP model using both financial information and non-financial information. Finally, the credit ratings of each firm are assigned by the proposed method.
In this paper the integration of Distributed Generation (DG) in radial distribution system is investigated by computing the optimal site and size of DG to be placed. An analytical expression based on equivalent current injection has been derived by utilizing topological structure of radial distribution system to find optimal size of DG to minimize losses. In the presented formulation, the optimal DG placement is obtained without repeatedly computing the load flow. The proposed formulation can be used to find the optimal size of all types of DGs namely Type-I, Type-II, Type-III and Type-IV DGs. The investigations are carried out on IEEE 33-bus and 69-bus radial distribution systems. The optimal DG placement results into reduction in active and reactive power losses and improvement in voltage profile of the buses.
