  • Thermal analysis is performed to protect the propulsion system of low-earth-orbit earth observation satellite from unwanted thermal disaster like propellant freezing. To implement thermal design adequately, heater powers for the propulsion system estimated through the thermal analysis are decided. Based on those values anticipated herein, the average power for propulsion system becomes 22.02 watts when the only one redundant catalyst bed heater is turned on. When for the preparation of thruster firing, 25.93 watts of the average power is required. All heaters selected for propulsion components operate to prevent propellant freezing meeting the thermal requirements for the propulsion system with the worst-case average voltage, i.e. 25 volts.

  • A multibody system dynamics analysis program is presented using one of the most useful programming methodologies, the object-oriented modeling, The object-oriented modeling defines a problem from the physical world as an abstract object. The object becomes encapsulated with the data and method, Analysis is performed using the object's interface, It is then possible for the user and the developer to modify and upgrade the program without having particular knowledge of the analysis program, The method presented in this paper has several advantages, Since the mechanical components of the multi-body system are converted into the class, the modification, exchange, distribution and reuse of classes are increased. It becomes easier to employ a new analysis method and interface with other S/W and H/W systems, Information can be communicated to each object through messaging. This makes the modeling of new classes easier using the inheritance, When developing a S/W for the computer simulation of a physical system, it is reasonable to use object-oriented modeling.

  • To predict vibrational energy density and intensity of beam-plate coupled complex structures in medium-to-high frequency ranges, Power Flow Finite Element Method(PFFEM) programs for plate, beam and some coupled structural elements are developed. The flexural, longitudinal and shear waves in plates are formulated and the joint element equations for multi-couped plates are fully developed. Also the wave transmission approach has been introduced to cover the energy transmission and reflection at the joint elements. Using the developed PFFEM program, vibration analysis for 2300TEU container ship model is performed and here the model data for this program are obtained by converting fonner FE model for structural analysis. This program predicts successfully the vibrational energy density and intensity upto 8,000 Hz for the ship model with over 50,000 DOF.

  • These days people use a lot of electric power, because industry advancement and a standard of living is elevated. So voltage stability analysis and control problems are very important in these days. U.S.A has already developed voltage stability analysis program, and use it on power transmission scheme such as generator overhaul, transmission line off and so on. So voltage stability analysis is more and more interested in Korea, too. In this paper, we introduce a standard theory of voltage stability analysis and real time voltage stability analysis program that use sPMU(Satellite Phasor Measurement Unit). And we also introduce the calculation result about voltage stability in Jeju power transmission system.
