  • Because steel frame has own characteristics as easy to work and structural safety, it is being increased application by the trend of construction industry has been more higher and larger in today. However, steel frame works have potential problem, so fundamental solution is needed for preventing serious accidents. Recently, self-supported steel joint for enhancing safety is developed in Korea, but this system has some limitations as convenience of work, retainment of consistent productivity. For complementing this limitations, we developed the new system named Automated wire control machine. This study is performed productivity of steel frame work by new system. The basis data for analysing productivity is collected from field test.

  • The design of an automobile mirror actuator system needs a systematic optimization due to several variables, constraints, geometric limitations, moving angle, and so on. Therefore, this article provides the procedure of a genetic algorithm(GA) based optimization with finite element analysis for design of a mirror actuator considering design constraints, geometric limitations, moving angle. Local optimum problem in optimization design with sensitivity analysis is overcome by using zero-order overall searching method which is new optimization design method using a genetic algorithm.

Identification of hydrogen flammability in steam generator compartment of OPR1000 using MELCOR and CFX codes

  • The MELCOR code useful for a plant-specific hydrogen risk analysis has inevitable limitations in prediction of a turbulent flow of a hydrogen mixture. To investigate the accuracy of the hydrogen risk analysis by the MELCOR code, results for the turbulent gas behavior at pipe rupture accident were compared with CFX results which were verified by the American National Standard Institute (ANSI) model. The postulated accident scenario was selected to be surge line failure induced by station blackout of an Optimized Power Reactor 1000 MWe (OPR1000). When the surge line failure occurred, the flow out of the surgeline was strongly turbulent, from which the MELCOR code predicted that a substantial amount of hydrogen could be released. Nevertheless, the results indicated nonflammable mixtures owing to the high steam concentration released before the failure. On the other hand, the CFX code solving the three-dimensional fluid dynamics by incorporating the turbulence closure model predicted that the flammable area continuously existed at the jet interface even in the rising hydrogen mixtures. In conclusion, this study confirmed that the MELCOR code, which has limitations in turbulence analysis, could underestimate the existence of local combustible gas at pipe rupture accident. This clear comparison between two codes can contribute to establishing a guideline for computational hydrogen risk analysis.

Analysis of Precipitation Effects Using Groundwater Level and Electrical Conductivity Fluctuations (지하수위 변동량과 전기전도도 변동량을 이용한 강수 효과 분석)

  • Moving average precipitation provides periodic precipitation patterns by solving precipitation irregularities. However, due to uncertain moving average periods, excessive data smoothing occurs, which limit the possibility to analyze groundwater levels in the short term. Nonetheless, groundwater level fluctuation can compensate these limitations as it can calculate appropriately for unit time and verify the effect of precipitation penetrated into groundwater in a short time period. In this study, the characteristics of groundwater level were evaluated using groundwater level fluctuation to compensate for limitations of groundwater level analysis using moving average precipitation. In addition, the groundwater quality was investigated using the electrical conductivity fluctuation. The study site was Hyogyo-ri, Yesan-si, Chungcheongnam-do. Four observation wells and an automated weather system were used. The correlation between groundwater level fluctuation and precipitation (Case 1) and the correlation between groundwater level and moving average precipitation (Case 3) were compared. In the analysis for 1 hour data, the correlation coefficient of Case 1 was higher than that of Case 3, and in the analysis for 1 day data, the correlation coefficient of Case 3 was higher than that of Case 1.

  • Since LID design process for the urban regeneration has not yet been established in Korea, this study was extablished in LID design process through reterauture reviews and expert opinions. But the extablished LID design processes have many limitations to be applied to proper LID facilities to the site because of not considering characteristics and water flow of the site. To solve the limitations of existing design processes, it is necessary for analysis of water flow through GIS analysis at the site. After analysis of water flow, it is important to find areas cut off water flow and to install LID facilities at those points. Through these considerations, this study present the improved LID design process to apply to urban regeneration.

Coward Analysis based Spam SMS Detection Scheme (동시출현 단어분석 기반 스팸 문자 탐지 기법)

  • Analyzing characteristics of spam text messages had limitations since spam datasets are typically difficult to obtain publicly and previous studies focused on spam email. Although existing studies, such as through the use of spam e-mail characterization and utilization of data mining techniques, there are limitations that influence is limited to high spam detection techniques using a single word character. In this paper, we reveal the characteristics of the spam SMS based on experiment and analysis from different perspectives and propose coward analysis based spam SMS detection scheme with a publicly disclosed spam SMS from the University of Singapore. With the extensive performance evaluations, we show false positive and false negative of the proposed method is less than 2%.

Reverse Engineering of Deep Learning Network Secret Information Through Side Channel Attack (부채널 분석을 이용한 딥러닝 네트워크 신규 내부 비밀정보 복원 방법 연구)

  • As the need for a deep learning accelerator increases with the development of IoT equipment, research on the implementation and safety verification of the deep learning accelerator is actively. In this paper, we propose a new side channel analysis methodology for secret information that overcomes the limitations of the previous study in Usenix 2019. We overcome the disadvantage of limiting the range of weights and restoring only a portion of the weights in the previous work, and restore the IEEE754 32bit single-precision with 99% accuracy with a new method using CPA. In addition, it overcomes the limitations of existing studies that can reverse activation functions only for specific inputs. Using deep learning, we reverse activation functions with 99% accuracy without conditions for input values with a new method. This paper not only overcomes the limitations of previous studies, but also proves that the proposed new methodology is effective.

A Comparison of PCA, LDA, and Matching Methods for Face Recognition (얼굴인식을 위한 PCA, LDA 및 정합기법의 비교)

  • Limitations on the linear discriminant analysis (LDA) for face rerognition, such as the loss of generalization and the computational infeasibility, are addressed and illustrated for a small number of samples. The principal component analysis (PCA) followed by the LDA mapping may be an alternative that ran overcome these limitations. We also show that any schemes based on either mappings or template matching are vulnerable to image variations due to rotation, translation, facial expressions, or local illumination conditions. This entails the importance of a proper preprocessing that can compensate for such variations. A simple template matching, when combined with the geometrically correlated feature-based detection as a preprocessing, is shown to outperform mapping techniques in terms of both the accuracy and the robustness to image variations.
