A New Analog Switch CMOS Charge Pump Circuit without Body Effect

  • The charge-pump circuit which is used to generate higher voltage than the available supply voltage has wide applications such as the flash memory of EEPROM Because the demand for high voltage comes from physical mechanism such as the oxide tunneling, the required pumped voltage cannot be scaled as the power supply voltage is scaled. Therefore, an efficient charge-pump circuit that can achieve high voltage from the available low supply voltage is essential. A new Analog Switch p-well CMOS charge pump circuit without the MOS device body effect is processed. By improve the structure of the circuit's transistors to reduce the threshold voltage shift of the devices, the threshold voltage of the device is kept constant. So, the circuit electrical characteristics are higher output voltage within a shorter time than the conventional charge pump. The propose analog switch CMOS charge pump shows compatible performance of the ideal diode or Dickson charge pump.

  • Position controls are very important in semiconductor manufacturing devices, machine tools Precision measuring instruments, etc. To measure the distance of movement of moving objects in minute units and the accuracy of measurement for the moving distance in these devices affect the performance of the whole devices. Therefore, in those Precision instruments, a sensing device that can measure the distance of movement with high-precision resolution is required. In this paper, a novel encoder of digital and analog hybrid type is proposed. It is shown that from this experiment a high-resolution angle measurement device can be designed by a low cost incremental encoder.

  • The theoretical equations for J-V characteristics in an OLED was derived according to the internal carrier emission equation based on a diffusion model at Schottky barrier contact and the mobility equation based on the Pool-Frenkel model. The J-V characteristics of OLED are presented using a behavioral model for analog systems (Verilog-A language), and the accuracy of this model was verified by comparing with the device simulation results.

  • This paper reviews the characteristics of Power MOSFET device technology that are leading to improvements in power loss for power electronic system. The silicon bipolar power transistor has been displaced by silicon power MOSFET's in low and high voltage system. The power electronic technology requires the marriage of power device technology with MOS-gated device and bipolar analog circuits.

  • This paper deals with the rotation-free optical sensor which will be used for two dimensional robot tracking. This sensor consists of position sensing device and coordinate transformation unit which transform the sensor coordinate into base coordinate. A new coordinate transformation algorithm which use analog signal is presented, and an analog circuit based on this algorithm is constructed. To prove the rightness of this algorithm, same experiments are carried out. And the performance, of this sensor is investigated.

  • This paper presents a method of analog signal processing for a coordinate transformation. Through the proposed method, two-dimensional position information obtanided from any type of null-detector can be transformed into the information with repect to world coordinate system. In order to implement the method, a null- detection device which consists of four optical proximity sensor is developed. Through the experiments for performance evaluation, the effectiveness of the proposed method has been demonstrated.

  • 본 논문에서는 SDR(Software Defined Radio) 시스템을 위한 Digital IF(Intermediate Frequency) Up/Down 변환기를 설계하고 성능을 평가하였다. 설계한 시스템은 AD 변환부, DA 변환부 및 Up-Down conversion 기능을 수행하는 FPGA로 구성된다. AD 변환부는 Analog Device 사의 AD6645를 사용하였으며, DA 변환부는 Analog Device 사의 AD9775를 사용하였다. Up-Down conversion 기능을 수행하는 FPGA부는 샘플된 IF 입력을 혼합기와 NCO에 의해 기저대역(DC)으로 다운 시키는 역할을 하며, 14bit의 기저대역(DC) 신호를 혼합기와 NCO에 의해 IF 출력으로 올려주는 역할을 한다. 이러한 설계는 기존의 아날로그 헤테로다인 방식에 비하여 높은 유연성 및 우수한 성능 향상을 보여준다.

  • Audio mixer is an electronic device which performs a mixing of multiple audio signals. Digital mixer having various functions and scalability is spreaded thanks to advanced DSP and IT technology. However, digital mixer is more vulnerable to stability comparing to conventional analog mixer in the digital error or software error sense because its control is executed by SW. To solve this problem, in this paper, we propose a multi-channel digital analog hybrid mixer scheme, digital mixer error detection mechanism and malfunctioning switching technique. Also we develop the audio mixer having digital-analog hybrid structure. By simulation, we can sense the error of digital mixer except power loss in a 120ms, change into analog mixer mode automatically and provide continuous broadcasting function without mixer function loss.
