Structure Evolution of Pt doped Amorphous ${V_2}{O_5}$Cathode Film for Thin Film Battery (박막 전지용 Pt 도핑 비정질 산화바나듐의 구조적 변화)

  • The r.f. power effect for Pt doping is investigated on structural and electrochemical properties of amorphous vanadium oxide(V$_2$O$_{5}$) film, grown by direct current (d.c.) magnetron sputtering. Room temperature charge-discharge measurements based on a half-cell with a constant current clearly indicated that the Pt doping could improve the cyclibility of V$_2$O$_{5}$ cathode film. Using glancing angle x-ray diffraction(GXRD) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) analysis, we found that the Pt doping with 10W r.f. power induces more random amorphous structure than undoped V$_2$O$_{5}$ film. As the r.f. power of Pt target increases. large amount of Pt atoms incorporates into the amorphous V$_2$O$_{5}$ film and makes $\alpha$-PtO$_2$microcrystalline phase in the amorphous V$_2$O$_{5}$ matrix. These results suggest that the semiconducting $\alpha$-PtO$_2$ microcrystalline phase in amorphous matrix lead to a drastically faded cyclibility of 50W Pt doped V$_2$O$_{5}$ cathode film. Possible explanations are given to describe the Pt doping effect on cyclibillity of the amorphous V$_2$O$_{5}$ cathode film battery. film battery.

  • 한국전력공사의 송배전 손실은 '84년 6.34%로서 선진국 수준에 접근하고 있으나 최근에 감소율 둔화로 보다 고차원적인 대책이 필요하며 이의 일환으로 변압기 철손을 1/3-1/4로 줄일 수 있는 Amorphous 변압기 개발이 미국, 일본에서 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 그러므로 본 연구사업은 이에 상품화된 Amorphous 재료를 이용하여 단상, 20KVA Amorphous 변압기 6대를 시험 제작하여 최적설계방법, 제작기술, 경제성 검토를 행하였다.

  • Amorphous재료는 여러 원소를 혼합한 다원계재료로서, 원하는 특성을 얻을 수 있는 재료설계상 자유도가 큰 장점이 있다. 또 amorphous재료 만이 실현할 수 있는 특징도 갖고 있다. 그 제조공정이 비교적 저렴한 고로 부가가치가 높은 고성능의 재료르 얻는데 적절하며 그 기술은 이제 막 출발을 시작한 소위 emerging technology이며 그의 앞날이 기대되고 있는 것이다.

Fabrication of Ni-Nb-Ti-Zr Amorphous Alloys with Wide Supercooled Liquid Region (넓은 과냉각 액체영역을 가지는 Ni-Nb-Ti-Zr계 비정질 합금의 제조)

  • Ni-Nb-Ti-Zr amorphous alloys were manufactured using melt-spinning methods. Amorphous formability, the supercooled liquid region before crystallization and mechanical properties were examined. The value of the reduced glass transition temperature and the supercooled liquid region of $Ni_{62}Nb_{10}Ti_{13}Zr_{15}$ alloy were relatively high and were 0.612 and 76 K respectively. However, amorphous bulk alloy rod was not formed using the Cu-mold die casting. The mechanical properties were in the range of $800{\sim}900DPN$ of hardness and $2.5{\sim}2.8$ GPa of tensile strength in the whole composition range.

Development of EM Wave Absorber for Hi-pass System Using Amorphous Metal Powder

  • In this paper, we designed and fabricated the Electromagnetic(EM) wave absorber for an Electronic Toll Collection(ETC or Hi-pass) system by using Amorphous metal powder and CPE. The material properties and the absorption properties of the samples containing 50 wt.%, 60 wt.%, 70 wt.%, and 80 wt.% of Amorphous. Moreover, the EM wave absorption abilities were simulated for the different thicknesses of the EM absorbers by adopting the measured permittivity and permeability, and then the EM wave absorber was fabricated based on the simulated design values. As a result, the EM wave absorber with the composition of Amorphous metal powder : CPE = 50 : 50 wt.% with the thickness of 2.6 mm has excellent absorption ability more than 40 dB at 5.8 GHz.

  • This paper is concerned with spring back after sheet forming of bulk amorphous alloys in the super cooled liquid state. The temperature-dependence and strain-rate dependence of Newtonian/non-Newtonian viscosities as well as the stress overshoot/undershoot behavior of amorphous alloys are reflected in the thermo-mechanical Finite Element simulations. Hemispherical deep drawing operations are simulated for various forming conditions such as punch velocity, die corner radius, friction, blank holder force, clearance and initial forming temperature. Here, spring back by an instantaneous elastic unloading was followed by thermal deformation during cooling and two modes of spring backs are examined in detail. It could be concluded that the superior sheet formability of an amorphous alloy can be obtained by taking the proper forming conditions for loading/unloading.

  • Leakage current produced by backside illumination on bottom-gated amorphous silicon thin film transistor has been investigated. The experimental results show that the leakage current of bottomgated structure is significantly dependent on the shape of amorphous silicon pattern. A proper design of amorphous silicon pattern has been suggested in viewpoint of reducing the leakage current as well as mass production.

  • Aging test was done by loading back method for 20kVA amorphous core transformers manufactured by Hyosung Industries Co. and korea Electric Power Corporation. Iron losses, copper losses and insulation oil temperatures of the transfromers was measured for all the testing period. Expected life of amorphous core transformers on the basis of the degradation of the insulators was 46 years at 100% load, and 2.4 years at 130% load. Average temperature rising of transformer oil of amorphous core transformers was higher than that of silicon steel core transformers. Hence lowering the oil temperature by optimized design is needed for improving the expected life of the amorphous transformers.

  • Present. direct method x-ray conversion detector is studied by abroad medical instrument and country with amorphous Selenium. And we search the method for large area x-ray detector. Amorphous-Selenium based photoreceptor is widely used on the X-ray conversion materials. But amorphous-selenium based x-ray conversion detector is broken by high voltage and leakage defect point. In this paper, We investigated top-electrode distance rate to improve defect point and high voltage broken. The result to appoint to made large area x-ray conversion detector with base data.
