Drone Image Quality Analysis According to Flight Plan

  • Drone related research has been increasing recently due to the development and distribution of commercial unmanned aerial vehicles. However, most of the previous studies focused on the accuracy and utility of drone surveying. For drones, the resolution of the result is determined according to the flight altitude, but since 70% of Korea is mountainous, it is necessary to analyze the quality of the drone image according to the flight plan. In this study, the quality of drone photogrammetry results according to flight plans was analyzed. The flight plan was established by fixed altitude and considering the height of the terrain. Images were acquired for both cases and data was processed to generate ortho images. As a result of evaluating the accuracy of the generated ortho image, the accuracy was found to be -0.07 ~ 0.09m. The accuracy of Case I and Case II did not show a significant difference, but for RMSE, Case I showed a good value. These results indicate that the drone flight plan affects the quality of the results. Also, when flying at a fixed altitude, II showed a lower value than the originally set overlap according to the altitude of the object. In future surveys using drones, flight planning taking into account the height of the object will contribute to the improvement of the quality of the results.

  • According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport press release ('18.12.21.) The amendment of the Aviation Business Act will reduce the capital requirements for aviation leisure operators and make it easier to enter aviation leisure businesses by improving regulations on small air transportation business. In addition, as the scale of the UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) sector is expected to increase globally, the dramatic increase in low altitude operating aircraft, including this, must be taken into account. The low altitude aircraft category is divided into small airplanes, helicopters, light aircrafts and ultra-light aircrafts, and instructors include school instructor pilots and student pilots, military and national helicopter pilots, and aviation leisure operators. In case of low altitude aircraft, there are cases of canceling operations due to low visibility and low clouds, and aircraft accidents due to excessive operation and sudden weather phenomenon. Therefore, in order to prevent low-altitude aircraft accidents, a safe flight plan based on weather conditions and weather forecasts and more accurate and local weather forecasts and weather forecast data are needed to prepare for the rapidly changing weather conditions.

저고도 방공 레이더 최적 배치에 관한 연구 (Study on the Optimal Location of Low Altitude Air Defense Radar)

  • As observed in the recent war, suppression of enemy air defense operation is one of the major tactics, simultaneously conducted with high payoff target. Specifically, our air defense operation should be properly constructed, since the operating environment of our forces mostly consists with mountainous terrain, which makes detections of the enemy difficult. The effective arrangements of low altitude air defense radars can be suggested as a way of improving the detection capability of our forces. In this paper, we consider the location problem of low altitude air defense radar, and formulate it as an Integer Programming. Specifically, we surveyed the previous researches on facility location problems and applied two particularly relevant models(MCLP, MEXCLP) to our problem. The terrain factor was represented as demand points in the models. We verified the optimal radar locations for operational situations through simulation model which depicts simple battle field. In the simulation model, the performance of optimal radar locations are measured by the enemy detection rate. With a series of experiments, we may conclude that when locating low altitude air defense radars, it is important to consider the detection probability of radar. We expect that this finding may be helpful to make a more effective air defense plan.

  • 본 연구에서는 3차원 공간상에서 구면 좌표계값을 가지는 레이더 반사도 자료를 직교 좌표계로 변환하기 위한 CAPPI(Constant Altitude Plan Position Indicator) 산출 프로그램을 개발한다. 오염되지 않은 CAPPI 자료의 산출을 위해서 레이더 반사도 자료에 대한 품질검사 과정이 선행되었다. 개발된 모형은 3차원 공간상에서의 연속성을 유지하기 위해서 가장 근접하고 가장 적은 자료수를 운영함으로서 최적의 반사도 자료를 보간하였다. 개발된 모형은 자료의 이용목적에 따라서 다양한 해상도 및 고도에 대한 자료가 필요할 수 있다는 생각 하에 임의의 해상도 및 고도등에 대한 자료를 효율적으로 계산해 낼 수 있다.

  • The current drone flight plan creation creates a flight path point of two-dimensional coordinates on the map and sets an arbitrary altitude value considering the altitude of the terrain and the possible flight altitude. If the created flight path is a simple terrain such as a mountain or field, or if the user is familiar with the terrain, setting the flight altitude will not be difficult. However, for drone flight in a city where buildings are dense, a safer and more precise flight path generation method is needed. In this study, using high-precision spatial information, we construct a drone safety flight map with a 3D grid map structure and propose a flight path search algorithm based on it. The safety of the flight path is checked through the virtual drone flight simulation extracted by searching for the flight path based on the 3D grid map created by setting weights on the properties of obstacles and terrain such as buildings.

  • 프로젝트 초기단계에서 신뢰도 높은 공정계획을 수립하고 공사기간 산정을 정확하게 하는 것은 공사 지연을 예방할 수 있으며, 연속적으로 발생하는 의사결정을 신속하고 정확하게 내리는 데 도움이 된다. 특히 초고층 프로젝트의 경우는 작업이 복잡하고 공사비가 크기 때문에 공사기간을 정확히 예상하는 것이 어렵고 공사지연시 발생하는 손실이 막대하다. 따라서 월별 작업가능률을 정확히 예상하고 적용하는 연구가 매우 중요하며 이는 초고층 프로젝트의 성패와 직결된다고 할 수 있다. 하지만 고도가 높아질수록 기후 환경은 지표면 근처와 차이가 생기기 때문에 일반적인 프로젝트의 작업가능률 산정방법은 초고층 프로젝트에서 정확성이 떨어지게 된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 작업높이에 따라 변하는 기후요소 변화를 예측하여 이를 적용하여 높이에 따른 작업가능률을 산정하고, 각 지역의 기후특색에 따른 결과를 비교 분석하였다. 산정된 결과에 따르면 작업고도가 높아질수록 부산, 인천, 서울 순으로 작업가능률이 떨어졌으며, 이는 풍속의 영향이 가장 컸다. 이러한 작업높이를 고려한 지역별 작업가능률 산정은 향후 초고층 프로젝트 공사기간 산정업무, 타당성 조사, 대상 지역 선택 등에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • In order to manage national environment effectively, one has to understand its ecological traits. The difference of temperature determines ecological traits of each respective region. In other words, temperature differentials on surface make a great impact on botanical structure. Currently, isothermal data-produced by meteorological stations based upon time series analysis-are widely used to plan and manage national environment. Nonetheless, the isothermal data do not reflect real surface temperature of regions. Because of numerous mountainous terrains in the Korean peninsula where temperature varies widely according to altitude, the range of temperature distribution-that reflects altitudinal change-has to be paid special attention. This study aims at expressing in space isothermal distribution that is necessary to plan and manage national environment effectively. In addition, not just South Korea, but also North Korea was included for isothermal distribution. As a result, this study corrected established isothermal lines up to date and demonstrated that altitude, latitude, and distance from coastal lines greatly influence temperature distribution of the Korean peninsula.

계측레이더 추적 시뮬레이터 개발 (A Development of Instrumentation Radar Tracking Status Simulator)

  • Defense Systems Test Center in ADD supports increasingly various missile test requirements such as higher altitude event, multi target operation and low-altitude, high velocity target tracking. In this paper, we have proposed the development of instrumentation radar tracking status simulator based on virtual reality. This simulator can predict the tracking status and risk of failure using several modeling algorithms. It consists of target model, radar model, environment model and several algorithms includes the multipath interference effects. Simulation results show that the predict tracking status and signal are similar to the test results of the live flight test. This simulator predicts and analyze all of the status and critical parameters such as the optimal site location, servo response, optimal flight trajectory, LOS(Line of Sight). This simulator provides the mission plan with a powerful M&S tool to rehearse and analyze instrumentation tracking radar measurement plan for live flight test at DSTC(Defense Systems Test Center).

  • 국가 우주개발 중장기 계획에 따라 수행중인 한국형우주발사체(KSLV-1) 개발사업 중 2단에 사용할 Kick Motor(이하 KM)는 작동고도가 약 300km이므로 진공의 환경과 유사하다. 고고도에서 작동하는 로켓은 성능을 최대한 향상시키기 위해서 노즐의 팽창비를 상대적으로 크게 설계하며, 동일한 로켓으로 지상에서 연소시험 할 경우 노즐에서 박리가 발생하여 정확한 추력을 예측할 수가 없다. 본 논문에서는 고고도에서 KM 추력성능을 입증하기 위하여 수행한 시험설비의 설계/구축과정과 그 결과를 다루고 있다.

From now on, local government must be develop own innovation model and strategy then, forward with innovation plan classified by step. This study reviewed the significance and necessary of local administration innovation and examined the necessary of level diagnosis of local administration innovation. And We diagnosed administration innovation of C province, then analyzed the result and proposed Altitude plans of administration innovation.
