In this paper we present a plan-based Korean dialogue system as a natural language database user interface for product search. The system can be characterized by its support for mixed initiative to give user more control over dialogue, employment of user model to reflect user' spreferences, alternative solution suggestion if there is no product matched exactly to user's requirements, handling circumlocution which frequently occurs in dialogues. The user model ing shell system BGP-MS is adapted for the system. The system provides for a user-friendly database user interface bymanaging dialogue intelligently. By its implementation and test it has been shown that the user model-based dialogue system can be utilized effectively for product search.

This research starts from the questioning of current housing development situation on hilly sites in Korea. It aims to investigate various design techniques of row-rise housing as an alternative housing type on hilly sites. Several generic solutions are proposed by considering the density of dwelling, parking plans, exterior space and access patterns, making full use of geographical features of hilly site and existing facilities. In order to promote development feasibility of proposed plans, the efficiency of the proposed techniques are verified in terms of development density, enhancement of community space, habitability of housing.

While reconstruction has been criticized since 1990 for its tendency of resource over-usage and negative impact on the surrounding environments, remodeling has begun drawing attention as its new alternative. Through examining the recent legal and systematic conditions such as Construction Law, Common Housing Administration Ordinance, and Housing Law, etc. this research analyzes problems on the current legal systems on remodeling, and it aims to suggest systematic and policy-driven schemes which could revitalize remodeling on its software and hardware sides. Careful consideration in regards to remodeling should be given from the initial design stage and throughout the maintenance stages of construction to achieve lengthy durability of buildings, and realization of long-term maintenance costs should also be pursued during this process. This will set in place the practice of remodeling in longer than 50-years intervals since the construction rather than the current 20 or 30 years.

Cultural needs of human have grown enormously. Consumer trend and individual taste have become more individualistic and diversified. Efforts to improve the quality of life have changed the concept of lift space as well as the concept of interior life supplies. Products are no longer standardized and produced in massive scale, thus a shift of value has risen. Damages done by the economical development have made consumers take interests in products that are more natural and in harmony with human beings. It is a tendency that wooden materials are becoming a preference as a specific alternative. There is a great social change with a new paradigm like this. Considering the change, we propose a new vision and activation plan on design development of wooden products through specific and practical studies by the system of educational and industrial cooperation which is an organic association system for developing human resources of educational system and producing profits of industry. From it, we can expect great effects as a competitive design of coming future.

We call as plant life cycle the process starting from plant plan, design to disuse by way of construction, operation, but the plant facility inside it comes to changes of cope with various inner factor like blazing phenomenon and outer factor according to economic state. On the presumption of these factors, the problem is brought about how plant should be managed, this study attempt to suggest the conservation management through economic evaluation in investment design and alternative, that is, methodology connecting that of economical efficiency evaluation based on LCC(Life Cycle Costing) thinking method and facility management with that of life prediction.

The global economic recession caused a great change of the labor environment such as restructurings and unstable employment. This facts brought about an increase in sense of rivalry, over workload, job uncertainty and lowering of self-confidence. Due to the fact that the work process and employing system in construction field is little differ from normal industries, especially, labors working in construction field are much exposed to the job stress. On this study, we survey construction-field labors and made an analysis of the gathered data through the statistic method to reveal what kind of job-stress factors influence on the defects of construction works. As the result, we investigated the truth of the induction factors which cause the job-stress in costruction field and proposed an alternative plan for an effective job-stress management which make the defect rate low.

The automation technology is able to enhance the business process more rapidly and effective. Open BIM technology which supports automation technology of building overcomes the limitations of two dimensions drawings system. The purpose of this study is on the development of open BIM based modules for creating and verifying the core model for super-tall building in the schematic design phase. The module is expected to create cases of core models automatically and it is expected to verify the requirement of building model. This module is anticipated to utilize for creating the core model rapidly in order to create the alternative plan and to make the model accurate by its verification.

The research on applying of Typography has been active in a Monitor-environment, and the results have been used in designs. But editing design in imaginary space in the Web environment is still using the applying way in the program's allowed extent instead of editing design for print outs. In this treatise. we will look into appropriate method to apply typography under the Web environment through research, and limitation of applying typography as a method to apply typography into the Web environment appropriately, and discuss the alternative for it.

RFID System of Ubiquitous which is one of problem that may occur in a process of replacing bar code in 21st century. This article focuses on integrating institutional mediation systems, especially the analysis of the leading ADR operation. Mediation is a process in which an impartial third party, a mediator, facilitates the resolution of a dispute by promoting voluntary agreements by the parties to the dispute. A mediator facilitates communications, promotes understanding, focuses the parties on their interests, and seeks agreement. These standards give meaning to this definition of mediation. Standard mediation clauses are construed as broadly as possible, and mediation is compelled unless it may be said with positive assurance that the mediation process is not susceptible to an interpretation that covers the asserted dispute. Performing the conflicts check early in the process helps in eliminating any awkwardness or delays caused by making disclosures after mediation commences. Mediator impartiality is central to the mediation process. A mediator should mediate only those matters in which she or he can remain impartial and evenhanded. If at any time the mediator is unable to conduct the process in an impartial manner, the mediator is obligated to withdraw.
