  • An air/quartz dielectric double barrier pulse discharge has been investigated to develop a novel si lent type ozone generator. It is found that there are very active pulsed coronas occurred in the airgap which are very useful for ozone generation. And, the corona onset voltage of the airgap of the air/quartz double barrier was enfluenced greatly by the airgap of the air/quartz dielectric double barrier, and depended greatly upon the airgap ranged of $0.0{\sim}3.0mm$ and by the quartz tube thickness ranged of $1.75{\sim}2.25mm$.

  • This paper analyzed the static torque of SRM according to the variation of airgap length using Finite Element Method. The normal and tangential components of flux density are analyzed at uniform airgap field which sap length is 0.3[mm] and nonuniform airgap which gap lengths are 0.2-0.4[mm] and 0.4-0.2[mm]. Also their static torques were simulated by using Virtual Work Principle. We expect that their parameters will help for the design of Switched Reluctance Motor.

고전압 회전 스파크 공격간의 이온 이동특성 (Ion Migration Characteristics of a High Voltage Rotary Spark Airgap)

  • Ion migration characteristics of a rotary spark airgap of high voltage Pulse generator had been investigated. It was considered that the ion migration speed and the ions of the gases(atmosphere gases, $O_2,\;N_2,,\;and\;H_{2}O,\;etc$.) and the charged very fine particles(about $10\~100nm$ size) migrated through the upper stator ball and bottom stator ball of the rotary spark airgap would determined the rise and fall times of the output high voltage pulse. In this paper, a basic study on the ion migration characteristics of the rotary spark airgap between the spark stator ball and the ion-sensing electrode of the proposed high voltage pulse generator have been investigated experimentally. As a result, the three kinds of ion speeds were detected by the ion-sensing electrode installed at the position of the bottom stator ball of the ball type sparkgap high voltage pulse generator. The migration velocities, diameters, masses, charges, numbers of the ions and particles were obtained by experiments and calculations, which, however, would determine the rise and fall times of the output high voltage pulse.

  • This paper investigates reduction of acoustic noise and cogging torque in a BLDC motor with larger stator slot open width. Using energy method, cogging torque is analytically determined with airgap MMF function and airgap permeance function and confirmed by FEM analysis. It shows that the cogging torque is firstly governed by NL GNL BNL with the fundamental period of NL, where NL is the least common multiple of the number of slots and the number of poles, GNL, airgap permeance function and BNL, airgap MMF function. It also shows that there exist several tooth width which minimizes the cogging torque, for the motors that smaller slot open width or stator teeth notching is not available. And it proposes a teeth pairing with two different tooth width which can effectively eliminate the cogging torque and thus the acoustic noise. Experimental results show that the proposed teeth pairing reduces the cogging torque by 85% and the acoustic noise by 3.1dB.

저심도철도용 선형유도전동기의 공극 불균일 과도특성 분석 연구 (A Study on Transient Analysis of Linear Induction Motor with Ununiform Airgap for Shallow-depth Underground Train)

  • This paper presents an parallel type Linear Induction Motor with ununiform airgap for a shallow-depth underground train with 100‰ grade and 15 m curvature. This parallel type LIM has enough gradability but has inherently ununiform airgap between center and end parts. Consequently, performance when the train passes curved section should be considered with transient analysis. Moreover, general parallel operation, 1C2M which is usually used for train operation, deteriorates LIM performance because of different line velocity between inner and outer LIMs. Transient analysis has many problems such as huge model, lots of meshes, very long calculation time, truncation error and so on. This paper has presented a novel technique using equivalent linear rotating model in order to solve these problems and has analyzed parallel type LIM by using the proposed technique. Finally, LIM performance according to independent operating control has been investigated.

  • 본 연구에서는 교육용 2개와 산업체용 2개의 남성 바지 패턴을 비교하여 중년남성의 체형에 가장 적합한 패턴제도법을 분석함으로써 맞음새가 우수한 중년남성 의복제작에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 가상착의에 대한 외관평가 결과, J패턴이 대부분의 항목에서 가장 우수한 것으로 평가되었으며, H패턴이 가장 부적합한 것으로 분석되었다. 공극량을 측정한 결과, 허리둘레 부분은 4개 패턴 모두 공극량이 매우 작은 것으로 평가되었고, 바지통은 J패턴이 가장 공극량이 작은 것으로 나타났다. 가상착의 외관평가, 색분포도, 단면도, 공극률 등을 종합한 결과, 중년남성의 체형에 J패턴이 가장 맞는 패턴이었다. 그러나 J패턴의 경우에도 바지길이에 대한 수정이 필요할 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구는 교육용 2개와 산업체용 2개의 패턴만을 비교 분석하였으므로 J패턴을 중심으로 하여 실제 착의실험을 통한 중년남성용 바지 원형 개발이 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

  • Abstract - Linear Synchronous Motor has a large airgap comparing with rotary-type motor and especially, Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor(PM-LSM) which uses permanent magnet as a magnetic field, has a very large effective magnet airgap owing to permanent magnet structure. Accordingly, in case of 2-D analysis of the motor, the analysis error becomes large because leakage flux by which normal direction of the analysis region can not be considered, In this paper, the characteristic of PM-LSM for Maglev vehicle is analyzed exactly by 3-D Finite Element Method(3-D FEM). As the result, the effect of lateral-direction airgap magnetic flux density distribution on the analysis precision has been investigated and the motor characteristics according to primary motor parameter have been also made clear quantitatively. The accuracy of 3-D FEM has been confirmed by comparing the calculated results with the experimental results.

  • The resonance characteristic of microstrip antenna with an airgap between the substrate layer and ground plane is investigated. The study is performed by using a rigorous Green’s function formulation in the spectral domain and Galerkin’s moment method calculation. The numerical convergence using sinusoidal basis functions, the unknown surface current distribution in the rectangular patch, is discussed. Numerical result for the effects of airgap and patch length on the complex resonant frequencies of the rectangular microstrip structure are also presented

다공성 수침-평판전극간의 수적 방출 특성 (Water Droplet Ejection Characteristics of a Wet Porous Point-Plate Airgap)

  • Water droplet ejection characteristics of a point-to-plate airgap, with a wet porous point as a corona electrode, has been investigated. And the water droplet traces, charge, mass and number were measured experimentally. More particles are observed with wet porous point than metal point because the corona-discharging wet porous point can eject a number of water droplets. The water droplets ejected from the positive-corona-discharging wet porous point showed very fine traces as compared with those from the negative-corona-discharging wet porous point. Moreover, the water droplets ejected from the AC-corona-discharging wet porous point showed granular-like larger traces. It was shown that the weak corona discharge can eject smaller water droplets with larger ratio of mass-to-charge than the intense corona discharge.

  • A direct vector control for induction machine based on determination of the spatial position of the airgap flux from the third harmonic component of the stator phase voltage is presented in this Paper. The relationship between the airgap fundamental flux component and the third harmonic flux component obtained from the stator third harmonic voltage is presented at the end of this paper.
