드럼세탁기 방사소음의 소스 및 기여도 분석 (Analysis of Sources and Contribution for the Radiated Noise of Drum-type Washing Machine)

  • The procedure to estimate the sources of noise and vibrations in a typical drum-type washing machine was presented. The sources should be identified to predict the radiated noise with computational model of structure. Source identification techniques based on singular decomposition were implemented using the measured signals of accelerometers and microphones. The finite element analysis and indirect boundary element analysis were implemented to predict the structural vibrations and the acoustic pressures at the field points. The predicted results by only structural sources were compared with those by both structural and acoustical sources. It was verified that not only the structural-borne source but also air-borne source should be considered to predict the radiated noise with better accuracy. The contribution analysis with respect to the transfer path was also preformed.

OTPA방법을 이용한 철도차량 실내 소음 기여도 분석 연구 (A Study on Interior Noise Contribution Analysis of Trains based on OTPA Method)

  • The sensitivity of interior noise that the passengers perceive is comparatively high in the train, and structure-borne and air-borne types of noises come into the train. In this paper, to analyze contributions of these noise sources operational transfer path analysis(OTPA) is used. OTPA has some advantages of executing the contribution rates of several sources simultaneously, and in this work, 29 points are measured while running. Transfer functions between reference measurement points and response measurement points are calculated by the singular value decomposition(SVD) and Principal component analysis(PCA) method, and the frequency characteristics of the noise source are successfully derived. Also the interior noise is predicted and compared with measurement data to show the reliability.

  • A dash panel component, close to passengers, plays a very important role to protect heat and noise from a power train. Meanwhile, it is also a main path that transfers vibration energy and eventually radiates acoustic noise into the cavity. Therefore, it seems important to provide an optimal design scheme incorporating sound packages such as dash isolation pad and carpet, as well as structures. The present study is the extension of the previous investigation how design variables affect sound radiation, which was carried out using the simple plate and framed system. The system taken into account in this paper is a dash panel component of a sedan, which includes A pillar, front side member, dash panel and the corresponding sound packages. Design variables such as panel thickness and sound package layers are investigated how they are related for the better radiation performance (i.e. structure-borne) and sound transmission loss (i.e. air borne).

미국 저층 공동주택 거주자의 소음 환경에 대한 주관적 평가 - Athens시를 중심으로 - (A Subjective Evaluation on the Noise Environment of the Low-rise Multifamily House in Athens, U. S. A)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate residents subjective opinion of the noise on the low-rise multifamily house in U.S.A. The results of this study can be applied for the prevention of noise when planning cities, roads, and multifamily houses in Korea. The subjects of this study are three kinds of multifamily houses and their 109 residents in Athens, U.S.A. The results of this study are as follows. The residents felt the noise from lawn mowers and the sound from filter fans of air conditioners were higher than in the other external noise. The residents daily activities were disturbed a little by the external noise. Of the internal noise, the air home sound was recognized a little by residents. They only felt a moderate sound level from the building services of the solid borne sound. They suffered worse from noise in the summer and they felt worse from 16∼20 o'clock due to noise. The residents who were living in town houses felt better than those in the other multifamily houses. (Korean J Human Ecology 1(2):61∼74. 1998)

공기 중 석면표준시료를 이용한 전처리 방법 비교 연구 (Comparative study of clearing methods for air-borne asbestos analysis)

  • Objectives: Acetone/triacetine method for clearing cellulose ester membrane (CEM) filter has been a popular method for air-borne asbestos analysis. However, as a weakness of this method, it is time consuming to analyses asbestos samples after sampling. Crystalclear method can be used to analyses asbestos samples promptly after sampling. Although a strength of crystal clear method exists, there was little valid studied for the method. This study was conducted to compare acetone/triacetine method with crystalclear one for analysing asbestos sample. Methods: Test samples made in three different concentration ranges(low, medium and high concentration) were analysed by phase contrast microscopy after acetone/triacetine and crystalclear method treatment respectively. Results: We did not find statistical difference in analysed results between two methods, which were conducted in three different concentrations ranges. Conclusions: We concluded that crystalclear method can be used as clearing method for air-borne asbestos analysis instead of acetone/triacetine method.

SUV용 액슬의 소음원 규명 및 소음 저감을 위한 액슬의 구조변경에 관한 연구 (Identification of the Interior Noise Generated by SUV Axle and Modification of the Structural on Axle System for Noise Reduction)

  • This paper presents experimental and analytic methods to reduce interior noise generated by car axle. The test vehicle has a whine noise problem at passenger seats. In order to identify transfer path of interior axle noise, the vibration path analysis, the modal analysis and running modal analysis are systematically employed. By using these various methods, it has been founded that the interior noise generated by car axle was air borne noise. To reduce and predict axle noise, various structural modifications are performed by using FEM and BEM techniques, respectively. Through the modification of the axle structure, the air borne noise of the axle was reduced 3$\sim$4 dBA level.

생식 중 자연환경유래 위해미생물 저감화 방법에 관한 연구 (Study on Reducing Methods of Natural Food-borne Pathogenic Microorganisms Originated from Saengshik)

  • 생식제품 및 제조 공정 중 위해 미생물의 제어 및 저감화를 위하여 제조공정을 개선하고 전해수, 오존수 등 살균효과에 대하여 조사하였다. 7가지의 위해미생물 오염도가 높은 생식원료에 대한 전해수의 살균효과가 차아염소산소다수 또는 오존수에 비하여 전체적으로 강한 것으로 나타났으며 오존수의 살균효과는 차아염소산소다수와 비슷하거나 다소 강한 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 전해수나 오존수를 이용하여 생식원료를 세정, 살균하여도 원료의 종류에 따라 살균효과에 차이가 있으며, 비 가열가공이라는 생식의 특성상 원료에서 검출되는 위해미생물은 최종제품까지 생잔할 가능성이 높기 때문에, 각 원료에 따른 살균처리지침을 위한 database 축적이 요구된다. 한편 모델공장을 선택하여 공장위생, 종업원 개인위생 및 제조공정을 개선한 후 공정개선의 미생물학적 효과를 조사한 결과 공정개선 전에는 원료에서 보다 최종제품에서 위해미생물의 수가 증가하는 경향을 나타내었으나, 공정개선 후에는 원료의 균수를 그대로 유지하거나, 감소하였으며 외주 원료의 혼합으로 인하여 위해미생물의 균수가 증가하였다. 따라서 생식의 제조공정에서 위해미생물을 저감화를 위해서는 외주 원료의 철저한 위생관리가 요구되며, 전해수 오존수 등을 이용한 원료의 비가열 세정살균과 지속적이고 위생적인 공정관리가 이루어진다면 위해 미생물의 균수를 저감화할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

축류팬 및 슈라우드 개선을 통한 공조기 저소음화에 대한 연구 (Study on Noise Reduction of an Air Conditioner through Modification of Axial Flow Fans and Shrouds)

  • In this paper, a successful result of modification of an axial flow fan and a shroud for noise reduction of a window type air conditioner is presented especially in order to verify the importance of blade shape improvement and the searching for the optimal shape of shrouds. Effective ways to work out the result as mentioned above are to make the tip of the blade varied in thickness and to have special shapes. From the viewpoint of the shape in a shroud, several cases were examined and the particular value of a design parameter of the shroud was acquired to get the best noise reduction of an air conditioner. Through the application of the methods, the air conditioner became less noisy by 4.5 dB(A) in terms of air-borne noise produced only by the axial flow fan and consumed less energy by 20.9% compared to the current one.

승용차 실내소음의 전달경로 해석 (Transfer Path Analysis on the Passenger Car Interior Noise)

  • Structure-borne noise is an important aspect to consider during the design and development of a vehicle. In this work. it was desired to identify the primary paths associated with structure-borne noise generated from the engine and front suspension. An experimental source-path-receiver model was used to characterize the system. A variety of primary sources such as engine. tires or exhaust system generate vibrations of the inner surfaces of the passenger compartment of a vehicle which subsequently radiate noise. The source was characterized by the force acting at the engine-to-body interface. and the path was characterized by pressure over force FRF's. The excitation forces were indirectly determined using dynamic stiffness of rubber mount or the system accelerance matrix. Through these analysis, path contribution diagram which is well expressed primary noise path is obtained.
