A Study on the living and the experience from Captive's story of war during the Second Manchu's invasion in 1636 (병자호란기 조선 피로인(被虜人)의 호지(胡地)체험과 삶)

  • This study is intended to review the war and the living of the common people of Choseon dynasty, through the true stories of captives kidnapped in the region of the Qing(胡地) during the Pyeongja horan in the 17th century. The common people, Kim seung kyung and Ahn chu won, who had been kidnapped in their young age, managed to escape from the region of the Qing to Choseon after having experienced a painful living as a captive for 27 years. Kim seung kyung and Ahn chu won had to make a choice to run away from the Qing in order to bring their war distorted life back to its original state. Kim seung kyung who had successfully escaped, could live without severe difficulties by the aid of his family living at his hometown, but Ahn chu won who had not found his own family or relatives, couldn't have got any helping hand from the people mentally or financially. So, he tried to escape again to Beijing, but discovered and captured so that a diplomatic problem was caused between the Choseon and the Qing Dynasty. Through the true story of Kim seung kyung and Ahn chu won, we can see the lives of Choseon common people who were trying to overcome the difficulties with their own iron will without being undaunted by hardships. Even though the captives had terrible experiences hating to remember, their experiences gave a chance to the Choseon people opening their eyes to the foreign cultures and the new world. At that time, the Choseon government was too weak to estimate how many captives were or what the captive's real fact was. Meanwhile the Choseon government managed to do the least duty in order to protect its people, by breaking the provisions of repatriation that the fled captives should be returned back to the Qing Dynasty. Through reviewing the captive's true story of the Choseon common people, we can ruminate the Choseon society in the 17th century which failed to establish an independent national history, and the issue of the Korean War captives in the modern history forgotten under the shade of the dustbin of history.

A Satellite Navigation Signal Scheme Using Zadoff-Chu Sequence for Reducing the Signal Acquisition Space

  • A signal system for improving the code acquisition complexity of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver is proposed and the receiving correlator scheme is presented accordingly. The proposed signal system is a hierarchical code type with a duplexing configuration which consists of the Zadoff-Chu (ZC) code having a good auto-correlation characteristic and the Pseudo Random Noise (PRN) code for distinguishing satellites. The receiving correlator has the scheme that consists of the primary correlator for the ZC code and the secondary correlator which uses the PRN code for the primary correlation results. The simulation results of code acquisition using the receiving correlator of the proposed signal system show that the proposed signal scheme improves the complexity of GNSS receiver and has the code acquisition performance comparable to the existing GNSS signal system using Coarse/Acquisition (C/A) code.

Objectvies The study is purposed to find the role of the six-channels of shanghan(傷寒六經) on the relation between ${\ulcorner}$Dongyisusaebowon(東醫壽世保元)${\lrcorner}$ and ${\ulcorner}$Shanghanlun(傷寒論)${\lrcorner}$ 2. Methods The study is compared ${\ulcorner}$Euiwonleun(醫源論)${\lrcorner}$ with the process of study on the ${\ulcorner}$Shanghanlun(傷寒論)${\lrcorner}$, origin and theorys of the Shanghan six-channels(傷寒六經). 3. Results and Conclusions Just as Dong-mu fully understood the concepts of ${\ulcorner}$Shanghanlun(傷寒論)${\lrcorner}$ through the six of Shanghan(傷寒六經) proposed by Chu-gueng(朱肱), the ideas of Differential Diagnostic System(辨證體系) of ${\ulcorner}$Shanghanlun(傷寒論)${\lrcorner}$ had much influence on ${\ulcorner}$Dongyisusaebowon(東醫壽世保元)${\lrcorner}$. Therefore a new medical theory could be born.

  • Objective : This study was carried out to review Chang-Won Lee's theory of Sasangand acupuncture of constitution. Methods : We have investigated Chang-Won Lee's unknown literature "Medicine of sassang "(四象醫學). Results : Constitutional acupuncture is based on the diversity of human being and medically developed the response variation to disease and acupuncture. The diversity is due to the Organ's Congenital Formation Variation based on human nature and it is categorized as four from physiology, pathology, symptoms, to therapy. Chang-Won Lee's constitutional acupuncture discriminated constitution of comparison palpations of right and left both sides. He insisted that constitution only four type(Sasang), not exist man of To-Hyoung (土形人) in "young -chu"(靈樞) and his constitutional acupuncture all used Jung-kyuck (reinforcement acupuncture method) and Seong-kyuck(reducing acupuncture method) of Sa-am(舍岩)

  • Highlighted is significance of the floating slab track for mitigating vibrations induced by train, together with the recent trends towards speed-up of railways. In the design of the floating slab track, it is more beneficial to increase the slab length since a significant impact can be induced on the train and track at the discontinuous points between slabs with the finite slab length. However, if the slab length is too long, the tensile stress of slab concrete and the additional stress on rail due to the temperature change and shrinkage of concrete slab. Thus it is of great importance to relevantly determine the slab length. In this study, to understand these phenomena and establish the countermeasures, the dynamic behaviors of train and track at the inter-slab discontinuous points have been explored and the effect of dowel joints as one of countermeasures has been analytically investigated.

  • 개인의 사생활 침해와 함께 안전을 위해 모니터링 시스템에 대한 관심이 높아져가고 있다. 본 연구에서는 인터넷을 통해서 PC나 PDA로 모니터링 할 수 있는 기술을 연구하였다. 마이크가 내장된 USB 카메라로 촬영한 영상과 음성 데이터를 H.263의 Moltiplex를 통해서 인터넷을 통해 PC나 PDA로 전송하는 웹 카메라 기반 홈서버용 모니터링 시스템으로 각 장치들의 동작 처리부를 일관된 구동 모듈로 통일하고, 관리자에게 일관된 구동 모듈을 제공하여 시스템의 운용과 관리에 있어서 편리함을 제공하였다.

Fabrication of Composite Drug Delivery System Using Nano Composite Deposition System and in vivo Characterization

  • The Rapid Prototyping (RP) technology has advanced in many application areas. In this research, two different types, cylinder and scaffold, of implantable Drug Delivery System (DDS) were fabricated using Nano Composite Deposition System (NCDS), one of the RP systems. The anti-cancer drug (5-fluorouracil, 5-FU), biodegradable polymer (PLGA(85: 15)), and bio ceramic (Hydroxyapatite, HA) were used to form drug-polymer composite material. Both types of DDS were evaluated in vivo environment for two weeks. For evaluation, the cumulative drug release and shape stability were measured. Test results showed that the scaffold DDS provide higher cumulative drug release and has better stability than cylinder DDS.

Rapid Prototyping and Testing of 3D Micro Rockets Using Mechanical Micro Machining

  • The trend of miniaturization has been applied to the research of rockets to develop prototypes of micro rockets. In this paper, the development of a web-integrated prototyping system for three-dimensional micro rockets, and the results of combustion tests are discussed. The body of rocket was made of 6061 aluminum cylinder by lathe process. The three-dimensional micro nozzles were fabricated on the same aluminum by using micro endmills with ${\phi}100{\mu}m{sim}{\phi}500{\mu}m$ diameter. Two types of micro nozzle were fabricated and compared for performance. The total mass of the rockets was 7.32 g and that of propellant (gun powder) was 0.65 g. The thrust-to-weight ratio was between 1.58 and 1.74, and the flight test with 45 degree launch angle from the ground resulted in $46\;m{\sim}53\;m$ of horizontal flight distance. In addition, ABS housing for the micro machined rocket was fabricated using Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM). A web-based design, fabrication, and test system for micro nozzles was proposed to integrate the distributed hardware resources. Test data was sent to the designer via the same web server for the faster feedback to the rocket designer.
