Case-Based Conflict Resolution in Agent-Based Collaborative Design System (에이전트 기반 협동설계 시스템에서의 사례기반 의사 충돌 해결)

  • 선박설계는 그 과정이 매우 복잡하고 많은 양의 데이터를 다루고 있는 작업으로서 그 환경이 분산화, 이질화 됨에따라 최근들어 CSCW(Computer Supported Collaborative Work)의 요구가 증대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 분산된 선박설계 환경에서의 협동작업을 지원하기 위한 에이전트 기반 선박설계 시스템을 개발하였다. 특히 여기서는 설계 에이전트간의 정보교환 및 지식공유를 통한 선박설계의 의사결정 과정에서 발생하는 의사충돌 문제를 해결하기 위하여 사례기반 추론 기법을 이용하여 이의 해결을 시도하였다. 설계 에이전트, 이들을 중재하는 퍼실리테이터, 충돌 처리기, 그리고 사례기반 시스템의 유기적인 도움을 받아 설계자는 설계과정에서 발생하는 설계 시스템간의 의사충돌 문제에 대한 의사결정을 과거의 유사한 문제해결 사례로부터 효과적으로 처리할 수 있다.

A Design of the Semantic Web for Collaborative Agents in Supply Chain Formation (공급사슬구성에서 협력적 에이전트를 위한 시맨틱 웹 설계)

  • The formation of a supply chain should be approached with distributive viewpoint considering the dynamic nature of ordering environments. The purpose of this paper is to design a semantic web to support agent negotiation forming supply chains. With the view of a supply chain as composed of competitive agents which represent each member of supply chains with a local goal, a supply chain is formed through negotiation of price, due date choosing partners to contract. In the development of a negotiation method, we employ ontology and rules which are the basic techniques of the semantic web for supporting automated negotiations. Especially, a framework for a negotiation process is suggested and domain, processes and rules ontology are designed interrelatedly. With this modeling, a possibility of the semantic web based agent negotiation is suggested.

  • Maintaining agility and responsiveness m designing and manufacturing activities are the key issues for manufacturing companies to cope with global competition. Distributed design and control systems are regarded as an efficient solution for agility and responsiveness. However, distributed nature of a manufacturing system complicates production activities such as design, simulation, scheduling, and execution control. Especially, existing simulation systems have limited external integration capabilities, which make it difficult to implement complex control mechanisms for the distributed manufacturing systems. Moreover, integration and coupling of heterogeneous components and models are commonly required for the simulation of complex distributed systems. In this paper, a collaborative and adaptive simulation architecture is proposed as an open framework for simulation and analysis of the distributed manufacturing enterprises. By incorporating agents with their distributed characteristics of autonomy, intelligence, and goal-driven behavior, the proposed agent-based simulation architecture can be easily adapted to support the agile and distributed manufacturing systems. The architecture supports the coordination and cooperation relations, and provides a communication middleware among the participants in simulation.

Cognitive and Emotional Structure of a Robotic Game Player in Turn-based Interaction

  • This paper focuses on how cognitive and emotional structures affect humans during long-term interaction. We design an interaction with a turn-based game, the Chopstick Game, in which two agents play with numbers using their fingers. While a human and a robot agent alternate turn, the human user applies herself to play the game and to learn new winning skills from the robot agent. Conventional valence and arousal space is applied to design emotional interaction. For the robotic system, we implement finger gesture recognition and emotional behaviors that are designed for three-dimensional virtual robot. In the experimental tests, the properness of the proposed schemes is verified and the effect of the emotional interaction is discussed.

  • The human performance issues and increased automation issues in advanced Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) are critical to numerous stakeholders in the nuclear industry, due to the undesirable implications targeting the Man Machine Interface Systems (MMIS) complexity of (Generation IV) SMRs. It is imperative that the design of future SMRs must address these problems. Nowadays, Multi Agent Systems (MAS) are used in the industrial sector to solve multiple complex problems; therefore incorporating this technology in the proposed innovative SMR (I-SMR) design will contribute greatly in the decision making process during plant operations, also reduce the number MCR operating crew and human errors. However, it is speculated that an increased level of complexity will be introduced. Prior to achieving the objectives of this research, the tools used to analyze the system for complexity reduction, are the McCabe's Cyclomatic complexity metric and the Henry-Kafura Information Flow metric. In this research, the systems engineering approach is used to guide the engineering process of complexity reduction concept of the system in its entirety.

Development of a English Vocabulary Context-Learning Agent based on Smartphone (스마트폰 기반 영어 어휘 상황학습 에이전트 개발)

  • Recently, mobile application for english vocabulary learning is being developed actively. However, most mobile English vocabulary learning applications did not effectively connected with the technical advantages of mobile learning. Also,the study of mobile english vocabulary learning app are still insufficient. Therefore, this paper development a english vocabulary context-learning Agent that can practice context learning more reasonably using a location-based service, a character recognition technology and augmented reality technology based on smart phones. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed agent, we have measured the precision and usability. As results of experiments, the precision of learning vocabulary is 89% and 'Match between system and the real world', 'User control and freedom', 'Recognition rather than recall', 'Aesthetic and minimalist design' appeared to be respectively 3.91, 3.80, 3.85, 4.01 in evaluation of usability. It were obtained significant results.

  • Emergency Medical Service(EMS) requires a system that supports the communication between emergency medical technicians (EMT)s and the doctor in the emergency department. Because the rapid triage and on-site treatment of patients need doctor's medical advice. However, a system to assist the doctor assign for medical advice does not exist in Korea. This paper suggests a medical advice support system that focuses on appropriate doctor assign and real-time communication among the ambulance, the Emergency Medical Information Center (EMIC), and the doctor using an agent system. We expect that the system can help to solve the problems affecting prehospital EMS and improve its general quality.

  • 무선 이동 통신의 발달로 인해, 각 이동 단말 장치에 따른 데이터 동기화 방법이 다양해짐에 따라 공통된 동기화 프로토콜 규격의 필요성이 대두되었다. SyncML 은 이기종 시스템 간의 상호 운용성을 보장하는 데이터 동기화 표준으로서 사용자와 벤더들에게 많은 장점을 제공하는 프로토콜로 인식되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 SyncML 프로토콜에 대한 간략한 설명과 함께 SyncML 을 이용하여 개발된 서버의 프레임웍을 제시하고, 데이터 동기화를 처리해 주는 Sync Agent에 대하여 기술하였다.

  • 기존의 전화망과 달리 VoIP(Voice over IP)기술은 저렴한 통화 서비스를 가능하게 해주며, 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공해 줄 수 있다는 장점을 가지고 있어 현재 이와 관련한 개발이 활발히 진행 중에 있다. 그런데, 대부분의 VoIP시스템이 ITU-T에서 제안한 H.323을 표준으로 삼아 구현되었으나, H.323은 랜(LAN)환경에서 개발된 기술 방식이므로 이에 따른 구조적인 한계점을 가지고 있다. 반면, IETF에서 제안만 SIP(Session Initiation Protocol)의 경우는 내용이 간단하고 구현이 쉬울 뿐 아니라 확장성과 포괄성 측면에서 구조적인 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 대안으로 제시되어 지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 SIP을 기반으로 한 User Agent와 부재중 음성 메일 서비스의 설계 및 구현에 대해 설명한다. User agent간에는 실시간 음성 및 화상 통화가 가능하며 상대방이 부재중일 경우에는 상대에게 음성 메일을 전송할 수 있다.

  • 최근 인터넷 서비스의 폭발적인 증가로 기존에 사용하고 있던 통신망은 용량과 속도 등에서 한계에 부딪치며 개별 사용자가 이용하는 서비스 품질이 점점 나빠지고 있다 실시간 인터넷 서비스의 등장은 이러한 상황을 더욱 악화시켜 새로운 고속의 통신망 하부구조를 도입하여 이를 해결하려는 요구가 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위한 인터넷 연동기술에 대한 발전 추이와 ATM망 기반의 초고속 정보통신망 환경에서 ATM 망과 인터넷간의 실시간 인터넷 서비스를 제공하기 위한 연동장치인 Eagis의 구조와 기능을 소개한다. 또한 실시간 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하기 위한 Eagis의 서비스 브로커 기능 중에서 통합 Navigation Agent에 대한 기능과 설계를 제안한다.
