  • Within five years of Kim Jong-un's rise to power, North Korea conducted four nuclear tests and launched the Hwasong-15, an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), in 2017, declaring the completion of its nuclear forces. During the period when Kim Jong-un completed nuclear forces to maintain the regime, foreign policy factors of the United States, China, Russia, and South Korea drove North Korea's accelerated nuclear development. The main motivating factors were the hostile policies and external threats as security factors. The completion of nuclear forces is also the result of the interplay of domestic political factors, normative factors, and hereditary factors. North Korea has been developing nuclear weapons and missiles for the survival of its regime. To achieve lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula, a new modus vivendi must be sought. It is necessary to set the ultimate goal of North Korea's complete denuclearization and engage in strategic thinking for a realistic and effective phased approach.

  • The purpose of weighting traffic management strategies is to reach strategic goal through intended and balanced implementations. The AHP is commonly used technique to derive perspective and strategic goals, and to give priorities to them in a organization. In this study, perspective and strategic goals are derived through surveys and interviews with staffs of a traffic management agency. And then, priority of perspective and strategic goals is performed through the AHP. In this study, three things were identified. Firstly, it was found weighting perspectives such as values for customers, future, activity, and performances were in sequence performed. The value for customers were ranked the first. Secondly, it was found increasing of customer- centric thinking and values of eco- friendly system are the highest weighting in strategic goal. Third, it was found increasing of customer-centric thinking is the most important in headquarters and regional headquarter. But, Values of eco-friendly system is ranked as the most important in opinion of branch office's staffs. It was also identified that depending on the working places, such as headquater and branch offices, the response differs.

  • Recently, several studies in the field of privacy research suggested counterintuitive phenomenon about previous studies on existing perspectives. They claim that consistency of attitude and behavior does not exist, which is called privacy paradox. This study aims to clarify the relationship between intention to information disclosure and actual behavior based on the privacy paradox perspective. It attempts to explain the causes of privacy paradox phenomenon through the dual process theory being discussed in the field of behavioral economics. The results of empirical analysis are as follows. First, paired t-test analysis between intention to information disclosure and actual behavior was statistically significant. This means the existence of privacy paradox. Second, privacy risk had significant explanatory power to behavioral intention, and privacy trust had significant explanatory power to actual behavior. In conclusion, this study shows that negative belief influences decision making situation controlled by rational thinking whereas positive belief influences actual situations controlled by intuitive thinking.

  • Arguably, the term "Learning Organisation" (LO) was coined in the 1970's, in the organisational learning context, by Chris Argyris. Certainly it has been around for many years. But it achieved new heights of popularity after the publication of Peter Senge's book "The Fifth Discipline the Art and Practice of the Learning Organisation". Now every respectable Government Agency and major company feels obliged to call themselves a L0. A review of the academic literature and organisation documents show many different concepts being described. Indeed, it seems that some organisations claiming to be a L0 have no clear idea of what they mean by the concept. This paper seeks to go behind the confusion to see whether there is still value for serious practitioners to continue using this concept, or whether it is now such a hackneyed phrase that more precise concepts are desirable. The Literature relating to the L0 is vast and it is beyond the scope of a conference presentation to give a comprehensive literature review. Instead, the paper gives an overview of the broad groups using the term and summarises their similarities and differences. It then reviews the key concepts in Senge's work in the light of this cacophony. The paper concludes that the diversity of definitions render the term "Learning Organisation" virtually meaningless. unless it is accompanied by a specific definition. The paper also concludes that the central tenet of Senge's work, which played a major role in popularising the concept, has been largely overlooked by the many organisations claiming this proud title "A Learning Organisation." It is argued that Senge's contribution to the literature in this field, the centrality of systems thinking to effective organisation learning remains a little understood, but critical insight.

  • Although the importance of creative thinking is rapidly increasing in the new century, the generation of creative ideas and its application in the construction industry have been considered relatively difficult. Thus there have been a few studies on the subject that how to apply creative thinking tools with empirical evidence in the construction industry. Value engineering(VE) has been widely applied in the design phase of construction projects due to the government regulation, Brainstorming has been the most prevalent idea generation techniques in the VE activities during the past several decades. Contrary to popular belief, the performance of brainstorming is not so good. It is known as the brainstorming myth. This paper proposes the business creativity codes(BCC) as an alternative idea generation tool in the design phase VE of construction projects. In order to examine the effectiveness of the BCC, 50 successful field cases awarded in the design VE competition of government agency are used. The result shows that the BCC can be used as an effective idea generation tool in the design phase VE construction projects.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the association between MBTI personality types of potential investors and their cognitive behavioral investment disposition. Three questionnaires related with MBTI, cognitive investment disposition, and behavioral one from 400 subjects were collected and analyzed. Based on both cognitive and behavioral investment disposition scores, potential investors having E(Extroversion), S(Sensing), and F(Feeling) types tend to put up with the risk resulting from their investment better than ones who having I(Introversion), N(Intuition), and T(Thinking) types. However, the difference between J(Judging) and P(Perceiving) types was not significant. Also investor group with ENF combination had the most aggressive investment disposition among other groups. On the contrary the group with ISF had an tendency to avoid the investment risk. In addition the correlation between cognitive and behavioral investment dispositions was 0.86. This study is expected to be used as basic data with which investment companies and banks recommend adequate financial instruments to consumers.
