After stimulating the aged people with the authorized pictures which induce different emotions each. 1 measured HRV of those aged. The HRV data is then analyzed in the two domain area, time and frequency. 1 guessed that the result would show some certain differences according to the pictures and it was shown from the experiment. Seeing the result, HRV was changed by what the aged felt looking at the pictures. Then it also means that visual stimulation influence on the has of the aged people.

In addition many old people to our country are in economic distress due to low income. But the government authority does not give sufficient consideration for eld people in law, policy and budget. To improve social security system for old people it is necessary to increase the budget for the security of old people, to enhance the traditional respect for the aged, to improve medical security system by improving the accessibility to medical service and by expanding the allowance of medical insurance, and to expand the public welfare institutions. • Research outcome shows the following: 1. Estimation by the year 2015 on the number of the aged people and on the number of the household of living alone and living with spouse only, per age-cohort by 5 years, per basic self-govern-ins local groups and the city of Daegu. The result is supposed to serve as meaningful basic material in building up future policies in many areas for the aged people living in their homes. 2. Estimation varies according to the areas and the age-cohorts. In urban areas, increase of the numbers of the households of the aged people living alone and living with spouse only is estimated in every age-cohort. In rural areas, variance between two age-groups, old-old and young-old, is observed. Both of the numbers of the households for the aged living alone and the aged living with spouse only have increased continuously by the year 2005. But the hither-to increase tendency is estimated to reverse itself to a decrease starting from the younger within the young-old age group, and the ratio of the old-old age-group in rural population will sharply increase starting from the year 2005. Such increase in the number of the aged people in need of the housing and the social support requires the increasing policy consideration for the issue of housing for the aged living in their homes. In spite of the decreasing tendency in the number of the aged people living alone and living with spouse only in rural areas, still there will continue to be more number of such households than in urban area for the time being. The government of Gyeongsangbuk-Do should pay more consideration to the old-old aged living alone and living with spouse only in rural areas, while being prepared for the sharply increasing households for the aged living alone and living with spouse only in urban areas.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the association between unmet healthcare needs due to financial reasons and catastrophic health expenditures. Methods: This study used secondary data from the 2014~2015 Korean Health Panel survey. The subjects of this study were 21,495 people aged 20 or older, and of them, there were 16,227 people aged 20 to 64 and 5,268 people aged 65 or older, which were surveyed between 2014 and 2015. The association between unmet healthcare needs due to financial reasons and catastrophic health expenditures was analyzed through logistic regression. Results: In 2015, 1.7% of people aged 20~64 years and 7.9% of those aged 65 or older experienced unmet healthcare needs due to financial reasons. In the 20~64 age group, people who repeatedly experienced catastrophic health expenditures (=10%,=20%) were less likely to experience unmet healthcare needs due to financial reasons than those who did not experience catastrophic health expenditures for two years (OR=0.50, OR=0.41). However, in the 65-or-older group, people who repeatedly experienced catastrophic health expenditures (=20%) were more likely to experience unmet healthcare needs due to financial reasons than those who did not experience catastrophic health expenditures for two years (OR=1.68). Conclusion: A greater percentage of the elderly repeatedly faced both catastrophic health expenditures and unmet healthcare needs due to financial reasons compared to the non-elderly.
