우레탄레진(TSR-755)을 적용한 시작형 사출금형 연구 (Injection mold development applying starting mold material, urethane resin(TSR-755))

  • 본 연구에서는 우레탄레진(TSR-755)을 이용하여 레이저 조형으로 시작형 몰드를 가공하고, 상용패키지(Unigraphics)를 이용하여 자동차 단자함 케이블 케이스를 설계한 후 사출성형해석(Simpoe-Mold)을 사용하여 충전, 보압, 냉각, 변형해석을 수행하여 게이트 위치 선정 및 냉각 사이클 등을 검토 하였다. 해석결과, 세라믹소재 가공 후 사출금형에 인서트시켜 성형 시 열전도도 및 냉각시간을 줄여 줌을 확인할 수 있으며, 게이트 및 냉각라인 선정을 빠른 시간에 결정할 수 있어 생산성 향상을 가져올 것으로 나타났다.

Experimental study on the consolidation of saturated silty clay subjected to cyclic thermal loading

  • The objective of this paper is to experimentally study the consolidation of saturated silty clay subjected to repeated heating-cooling cycles using a modified temperature-controlled triaxial apparatus. Focus is placed on the influence of the water content, confining pressure, and magnitudes and number of thermal loading cycles. The experimental results show that the thermally induced pore pressure increases with increasing water content and magnitude of thermal loading in undrained conditions. After isothermal consolidation at an elevated temperature, the pore pressure continues to decrease and gradually falls below zero during undrained cooling, and the maximum negative pore pressure increases as the water content decreases or the magnitude of thermal loading increases. During isothermal consolidation at ambient temperature after one heating-cooling cycle, the pore pressure begins to rise due to water absorption and finally stabilizes at approximately zero. As the number of thermal loading cycles increases, the thermally induced pore pressure shows a degrading trend, which seems to be more apparent under a higher confining pressure. Overall, the specimens tested show an obvious volume reduction at the completion of a series of heating-cooling cycles, indicating a notable irreversible thermal consolidation deformation.

인테이크 도어 제어를 이용한 고성능 냉난방 시스템 (Air Intake Door Control for the High Air Conditioning Performance)

  • Recently, the quick heating performance is an important issue in the car because engine power becomes so high. So car makers have been adapted the additional heating devices as like PTC(Positive Temperature Coefficient) heater. And the quick cooling performance is also important issue because its result is used in the IQS(Initial Quality Study). In this paper, control of the HVAC(Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) intake door has been studied for the quick heating and cooling performance. Heating performance is improved $4.0^{\circ}C$ at $-20^{\circ}C$ ambient temperature after 20 minutes. And cooling performance is improved $1.5^{\circ}C$ at $35^{\circ}C$ ambient temperature after 10 minutes. In addition, intake door control system brings on the cost reduction because the flab door can be eliminated. This intake door control system has been adapted to the new developing cars.

소성가공한 폐 벤토나이트 분말의 냉각방법에 따른 포졸란 반응성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Pozzolan Reaction of discarded Bentonite by the Cooling Method after Heat Treatment)

  • As the bentonite is main material to prevent from collapse of drilling hole at underground excavation works, it is increased using quantity on construction industry day by day. But, the discarded bentonite that is over using at underground excavation works is caused various environmental trouble as soil and water pollution est. This study aims to propose a foundamental report for pozzolan reaction of discarded Bentonite powder by heat-treatment and cooling as concrete mineral admixture. To find out pozzolan reaction ability of discarded Bentonite powder by indirect cooling & cooling using of water after heat-treatment, the experiments are excuted Phenolphtalein test, setting test, pH test and the analysis by X-ray diffractor. As a result of this study, discarded Bentonite powder can be utilized as concrete mineral admixture by heat-treatment and especially, pozzolan reaction ability of discarded Bentonite powder is superior to the situation of 50$0^{\circ}C$~$700^{\circ}C$, 60min.

외부공기 유입관을 이용한 컴퓨터 냉각시스템의 효율향상에 관한 연구 (A Primary Study on the Enhancement of Efficiency in the Computer Cooling System using Entrance Tube of Outer Air)

  • In recent years, since the continuing increase in the capacity in personal computer such as the optimal performance, high quality and high resolution image, the computer system's components produce large amounts of heat during operation. This study analyzes and investigates the ability and efficiency of a cooling system inside a computer by means of central processing unit (CPU) and power supply cooling fan. This research was conducted to enhancement of efficiency of the cooling system inside the computer by making a structure which produces different air pressures in an air inflow tube. Consequently, when temperatures of the CPU and room inside computer were compared with a general personal computer, temperatures of the tested CPU, the room and the heat sink were as low as $5^{\circ}C$, $2.5^{\circ}C$ and $7^{\circ}C$ respectively. In addition to, revolution per minute (RPM) was shown as low as 250 after 1 hour operation. This research explored the possibility of enhancing the effective cooling of high-performance computer systems.

  • 본 연구에서는 화염 안정기 형상이 램제트 연소실에서의 단열 막냉각 효율에 미치는 영향에 대하여 실험을 수행하였다. 램제트 연소실 입구의 경사진 확장면의 끝에 화염안정기 형상을 설치하여 화염안정기에 의해 발생된 난류 유동이 다단 슬롯에 영향을 끼치도록 실험 장치를 구성하여, 화염안정기 형상을 탈부착 시키면서, 슬롯 출구 하류에서의 단열 막냉각 효율을 측정하였다. 화염 안정기를 설치하였을 경우 화염안정기에 의해 발생된 유동의 높은 전단력과 난류강도로 급격히 주유동과 혼합되어, 화염안정기가 설치되지 않은 경우에 비해 전체적으로 냉각 성능이 감소함을 결과를 통해 확인하였다.

플라즈마 침질탄화처리된 순철의 화합물층 특성 (The Characteristics of Compound Layers Formed during Plasma Nitrocarburising in Pure Iron)

  • Ferritic plasma nitrocarburising was performed on pure iron using a modified DC plasma unit. This investigation was carried out with various gas compositions which consisted of nitrogen, hydrogen and carbon monoxide gases, and various gas pressures for 3 hours at $570^{\circ}C$. After treatment, the different cooling rates(slow cooling and fast cooling) were used to investigate its effect on the structure of the compound layer. The ${\varepsilon}$ phase occupied the outer part of the compound layer and ${\gamma}^{\prime}$ phase existed between the ${\varepsilon}$ phase and the diffusion zone. The gas composition of the atmosphere influenced the constitution of the compound layer produced, i.e. high nitrogen contents were essential for the production of ${\varepsilon}$ phase compound layer. It was found that with increasing carbon content in the gas mixture the compound layer thickness increased up to 10%. In the gas pressure around 3 mbar, the compound layer characteristics were slightly effected by gas pressure. However, in the low gas pressure and high gas pressure, the compound layer characteristics were significantly changed. The constitution of the compound layer was altered by varying the cooling rate. A large amount of ${\gamma}^{\prime}$ phase was transformed from the ${\varepsilon}$ phase during slow cooling.

To find out the strength-development properties of mortar with discarded Bentonite powder by indirect cooling & cooling using of water after heat-treatment, the experiments such as flow test, and compressive strength test on curing age of mortar are excuted. As a result of this study, discarded Bentonite powder can be utilized as concrete mineral admixture by heat-treatment and especially, the strength-development properties of mortar mixing with discarded Bentonite powder is superior to the situation of $600^{\circ}C$.60min-cooling using of water.

  • Experimental study was performed to understand the operations of a showcase working in a discount store. Temperatures of evaporation, condenser were measured and also electric power consumption of compressor were measured. The purpose of this study is to application use of cold-heat storage systems operated the showcase. At the condition using ice storage system, the ice making process was operated during midnight being not needed the cooling of the showcase through the continuous running of the condenser unit. And then, the refrigerant was sub-cooled using stored cold-heat after being discharged from the air cooling condenser during the day time. The cooling performance was increased owing to the sub-cooling of refrigerant during day time, hence the running time of the compressor was effectively decreased. In other words, this study showed that power consumption during daytime can be transferred to the midnight for making use of the refrigerant sub-cooling. So the operating characteristics of the showcase system under various working conditions were analyzed and discussed.

  • 포항제철소에서 사용하는 살균제와 공장냉각수를 사용하여 실험실에서 생물막 형성과 금속부식에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 부유성 미생물은 biocide (NaOCl, 0.2% w/v)을 첨가하면 1.5 시간 내에 모두 사멸하였으나, 생물막에 있는 고착성 미생물은 일주일이 지나도 사멸이 되지 않았다. 생물막 형성은 공장냉각수를 고온고압으로 멸균하거나, biocide(NaOCl)를 첨가하였을 경우에는 주황색의 생물막이 형성되었으나, 공장냉각수를 그대로 사용하였을 경우에는 SRB 활성에 의한 흑색(FeS)의 생물막이 형성되었다. 흑색의 생물막이 형성된 곳에서의 금속부식 속도는 주황색의 생물막이 형성된 곳의 금속부식 속도보다 2.3배 더 빨리 진행되었다.
