Classification of drones and birds is challenging due to diverse flight patterns and limited data availability. Previous research has focused on identifying the flight patterns of unmanned aerial vehicles by emphasizing dynamic features such as speed and heading. However, this approach tends to neglect crucial spatial information, making accurate discrimination of unmanned aerial vehicle characteristics challenging. Furthermore, training methods for situations with imbalanced data among classes have not been proposed by traditional machine learning techniques. In this paper, we propose a data processing method that preserves angle information while maintaining positional details, enabling the deep learning model to better comprehend positional information of drones. Additionally, we introduce a training technique to address the issue of data imbalance.

In the case of Drone Photogrammetry, the "pixel to point tool" module of Metashape, Pix4D Mapper, ContextCapture, and Global MapperGIS, which is a simple software, are widely used. Each SW has its own logic for the analysis of aerial triangulation, but from the user's point of view, it is necessary to select a SW by comparative analysis of the coordinate values of geospatial information for the result. Taking aerial photos for drone photogrammetry, surveying GCP reference points through VRS-GPS Survey, processing the acquired basic data using each SW to construct ortho image and DSM, and GCPSurvey performance and acquisition from each SW The coordinates (X,Y) of the center point of the GCP target on the Ortho-Image and the height value (EL) of the GCP point by DSM were compared. According to the "Public Surveying Work Regulations", the results of each SW are all within the margin of error. It turned out that there is no problem with the regulations no matter which SW is included within the scope.
The purpose of this study is to verify the stable flight conditions of drones within a limited urban area by using the ICAO(International Civil Aviation Organization) reich model which is using to evaluate civil aircraft stability. The results of the study are summarized as follows. First, in order for the drones flying stably, the horizontal safety separation distance between a drone and another should be at least 1,852M. Second, assuming that no obstacles within 1,852M of horizontal space, two drones can be fly into upper and lower spaces. However there are obstacles such as buildings, it is impossible to secure a 1,852M distance between drones. Third, sensitivity analysis point out that the separation interval($s_x$) of drone aviation has the greatest influence on the TLS(Target Level of Safety). If future research is conducted to lower the numerical values, the safety distance between a drone and another drone will be drastically reduced, allowing more detailed urban space division, and will be presented as a scientific numerical value for establishing a dedicated path for the drones.

As the development of ICT and integration technology, many changes and innovations in agriculture field are implemented. The agricultural sector has shifted from a traditional industry to a new industrial form called the 6th industry combined with various advanced technologies such as ICT and IT. Various approaches have been attempted to analyze and predict crops based on spatial information. In particular, a variety of research has been carried out recently for crop cultivation and smart farms using drones. The goal of this study was to establish an agricultural drought monitoring system using drones to produce scientific and objective indicators of drought. A soil moisture sensor was installed in the drought area and checked the actual soil moisture. The soil moisture data was used by the reference value to compare and analyze the temperature and NDVI established by drones. The soil temperature by the drone thermal image sensor and the NDVI by the drone hyperspectral was analyzed the correlation between crop condition and soil moisture in study area. To verify this, the actual soil moisture was calculated using the soil moisture measurement sensor installed in the target area and compared with the drone performance. This study using drone drought monitoring system may enhance to promote the crop data and to save time and economy.

Although the SEAD(suppression to enemy air defenses) mission is a strategically important task in modern warfare, the high risk of direct exposure to enemy air defense assets forces to use of unmanned aerial vehicles. this paper proposes a path planning algorithm for SEAD mission for an unmanned aerial vehicle and a method for calculating the mission effectiveness on the planned path. Based on the RRT-based path planning algorithm, a low-altitude ingress/egress flight path that can consider the enemy's short-range air defense threat was generated. The Dubins path-based Intercept path planning technique was used to generate a path that is the shortest path while avoiding the enemy's short-range anti-aircraft threat as much as possible. The ingress/intercept/egress paths were connected in order. In addition, mission effectiveness consisting of fuel consumption, the survival probability, the time required to perform the mission, and the target destruction probability was calculated based on the generated path. The proposed techniques were verified through a scenario.

An aerial relay system utilizing an unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) or drone is addressed for event-driven operations such as temporary communication services for disaster affected area, military and first responder support. UAV relay system (URS) targets to provide a reliable communication service to a remote user equipment or an operator, therefore, a fast UAV placement to guarantee a minimum quality of service(QoS) is important when an operation is requested. Researches on UAV utilization in communication systems mostly target to derive the optimal position of UAV to maximize the performance, however, fast deployment of UAV is much more important than optimal placement under emergency situations. To this end, this paper derives the feasible area for UAV placement, investigates the effect of performance requirements on that area, and suggests UAV placement to certainly guarantee the performance requirements. Simulation results demonstrate that the feasible area derived in this paper matches that obtained by an exhaustive search.
With the rapid development in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) and drones, higher request to development of a surveillance system for a drone is putting forward. Since surveillance systems with fixed cameras have a limited range, a development of surveillance systems with a moving camera applicable to PTZ(Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras is required. Selecting the features for object plays a critical role in tracking, and the object has to be represented by their shapes or appearances. Considering these conditions, in this paper, an object tracking method with optical flow is introduced to track a tiny drone with a moving camera. In addition, a tracking method combined with kalman filter is proposed to track continuously even when tracking is failed. Experiments are tested on sequences which have a target from the minimal 12 pixels to the maximal 56337 pixels, the proposed method achieves average precision of 175% improvement. Also, experimental results show the proposed method tracks a target which has a size of 12pixels.

This paper proposes a precise drone-positioning technique using a differential global positioning system (DGPS). The proposed system consists of a reference station for error correction data production, and a mobile station (a drone), which is the target for real-time positioning. The precise coordinates of the reference station were acquired by post-processing of received satellite data together with the reference station location data provided by government infrastructure. For the system's implementation, low-cost commercial GPS receivers were used. Furthermore, a Zigbee transmitter/receiver pair was used to wirelessly send control signals and error correction data, making the whole system affordable for personal use. To validate the system, a drone-tracking experiment was conducted. The results show that the average real-time position error is less than 0.8 m.
Currently, the Republic of Korea is facing the problem of a decrease in military service resources due to the demographic cliff, and is pursuing military restructuring and changes in the military force structure in order to respond to this. In this situation, the Army is pushing forward the deployment of a drone-bot combat system that will lead the future battlefield. The battlefield of the future will be changed into an integrated battlefield concept that combines command and control, surveillance and reconnaissance, and precision strike. According to these changes, unmanned combat system, including dronebots, will be widely applied to combat situations that are high risk and difficult for humans to perform in actual combat. In this paper, as one of the countermeasures to these changes, autonomous behavior software with a BDI architecture-based decision-making system was developed. The autonomous behavior software applied a framework structure to improve applicability to multiple models. Its function was verified in a PC-based environment by assuming that the target UAV is a battalion-level surveillance and reconnaissance UAV.

Rural spaces are increasingly valuable as areas for introducing renewable energy infrastructure to achieve carbon neutrality. Rural areas are the living grounds of rural residents, and the balance of conservation and development for rural areas is important for the introduction of reasonable facilities. In order to maintain a balance between development and preservation and to introduce reasonable renewable energy facilities, it is necessary to develop a current status survey and an effective survey method to utilize a space capable of introducing renewable energy facilities such as idle land and vacant houses. Therefore, this study was conducted to verify the readability using an unmanned aerial vehicle, and the main results are as follows. The detection of photovoltaic power generation facilities using unmanned aerial vehicles was effective in analyzing the location and area of photovoltaic panels located on the roofs of buildings, and it was possible to calculate the expected power generation by region through the area calculation of photovoltaic panels. The vacant house detection can be used to select an investigation target for an vacant house condition survey as it can identify damage to buildings that are expected to be empty houses, management status, and electricity supply facilities through aerial photos. It is judged that the unmanned aerial vehicle detection capability can be utilized as a method to improve the efficiency of investigation and supplement the data related to solar power generation facilities and vacant houses provided by public institutions. Although this study detected the status of solar power generation facilities and vacant houses through high-resolution aerial image analysis, as a follow-up study, automatic measurement methods using the temperature difference of solar power generation facilities and general characteristics of vacant houses that can be read from the air were investigated. If the deriving research is carried out, it is judged that it will be possible to contribute to the improvement of the accuracy of the detection result using the unmanned aerial vehicle and the expansion of the application range.
