This study aimed to examine the effect of ad attributes on engagement, the mediating effect of engagement on the relationship between ad attributes and advertising effectiveness (attitudes toward ads, continuous intention to search, and e-WOM intention), and the differences in advertising effectiveness at different levels (low vs. high) of curiosity toward fashion video ads in the online context. For this purpose, a total of 408 responses were collected from consumers who were aged 20-40 years and had viewed fashion video ads via PC/mobile channels in the preceding six months. The results showed that three advertising attributes, namely informativeness, entertainment, and personalization, were significant predictors of engagement. Additionally, engagement had a significant mediating effect on the relationship between entertainment and ad effectiveness. Moreover, both informativeness and entertainment had a significant direct effect on the behavioral intention to search and engage in e-WOM. At the high-curiosity level, engagement had a significant influence on ad attitudes and e-WOM intention. In contrast, at the low-curiosity level, entertainment had a significant influence on e-WOM intention and continuous intention to search. These findings are meaningful in that they extend the advertising attitude model to fashion video ads in the online context.

The purposes of this study was to identify the evaluative dimensions of advertising and to examine the effect of evaluative dimensions of advertising on advertising effects(attitude to advertising/buying intention). The subjects used for the study were 202 female university students. Through the pretest, 15 casual wear brand's advertisements were selected and presented as stimuli. The questionnaire was employed and descriptive statistics, factor analysis, t-test, paired t-test and multiple regression analysis were used for data analysis. The results of this study were as follows. First, 5 evaluative dimensions of advertising were identified; model, message, product, brand and image. The dimension of advertising evaluated most positively was image. Second, the dimensions of advertising that significantly affected the attitude to advertising were model, message and image, whereas the dimensions that affected buying intention were product and brand. The influence of the evaluative dimensions of advertising on the attitude to advertising were different according to advertising involvement.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of characteristics of advertising model on brand personality and the effect of brand personality on brand attitude; and analyze whether the characteristics of the advertising model have a direct effect on the brand attitude or indirectly through the brand personality. A survey was conducted from August 10, 2017 until August 31, 2017, and 400 respondents' survey results were analyzed. For data analysis, SPSS 23.0 was utilized to perform descriptive statistics, factor analysis, t-test, and regression analysis. As a result, five brand personality factors were derived, which are aesthetics, safety/expertise, sophistication, pro-environment, youth, respectively. For advertising model characteristics, seven factors were derived, which are credibility, visibility, attractiveness, expertise, similarity, likeability, and familiarity, respectively. This study investigated the relationship between characteristics of cosmetics advertising model, brand personality, and brand attitude. Brand personality does not play a mediating role between advertising model's characteristics and brand attitude. Advertising model's characteristics have a direct effect on the brand attitude. Consequently, Cosmetics companies should recognize the importance of the characteristics of advertising model and implement the marketing strategy by carefully selecting the advertising model so that consumers can relate the characteristics of advertisement model to the brand attitude which will ultimately lead to positive evaluation of the brand.
Recently, as the importance of mobile marketing is emphasized, the in-app advertising market, which inserts ads into applications, is growing. The purpose of this study is to verify the interaction effects of need for cognition, contextual consistency, and product involvement on advertising attitude. The experimental design of this study is a three-way mixed design of 2 (consumer need for cognition: high vs low) × 2 (contextual consistency: context match vs context mismatch) × 2 (product involvement: high vs low). The subjects of the survey were 337 men and women in their 20s and 30s Living in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. SPSS 25.0 statistical program was used to analyze frequency analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, three-way ANOVA, and simple main effect analysis. The analysis results are as follows. First, contextual consistency of mobile fashion ads showed significant effect on advertising attitude. Second, consumer need for cognition and contextual consistency of mobile fashion ads showed significant interaction effect on advertising attitude. Third, contextual consistency of mobile fashion ads and product involvement showed significant interaction effect on advertising attitude. Finally, product involvement and consumer need for cognition showed a significant interaction effect on advertising attitude. Based on the research results, it will help fashion companies to establish effective mobile in-app advertising strategies.
This Research focuses on the effect of location-based mobile advertisement considering both of product involvement and advertising expression. The product involvement is classified as high and low involvement and forms of text and picture advertising, which are commonly used in mobile advertising, are chose in this research. To verify the advertising effect for location-based mobile advertisement, advertising attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intention are assessed by conducting survey experiment, which is stimulated for the location-based mobile advertisement including product involvement and advertising expressions. The results presented in this research indicate that the low-involvement product shows lower advertising effect rather than high-involvement product, because consumers recognize the mobile advertisement with low-involvement. The Second finding is that the effect of picture mobile advertising is more effective than that of text mobile advertising and this result is consistent with previous researchers. Finally, the favorable effects for location-based mobile advertisement is more effective than that of non-location-based mobile advertisement, because location-based mobile advertising can cause the immediate response for consumer to react with given advertising.
The study confirmed the relationship between attractiveness and suitability in the relationship between the formativeness of creating the artistic form of a virtual influencer who acts as an advertising model, advertising attention, and advertising attitude. To confirm this, the subjects of the study were the MZ generation and X generation, which have a high rate of SNS use. The analysis method used SPSS statistics 27.0 and SPSS process macro version. The research results are as follows. First, it was confirmed that attractiveness and suitability fully mediate the relationship between formativeness and advertising attention. In the path of formativeness and advertising attention, the total effect was found to be higher than the direct effect, and it was confirmed that there was a double parallel mediation effect through attractiveness and suitability in the relationship between the formativeness of virtual influencers and advertising attention. Second, it was confirmed that formativeness affects the mediating variable, attractiveness, but attractiveness does not affect attitude toward advertising. Since formativeness affects suitability and suitability in turn influences attitude toward advertising, it was confirmed that there is a full mediating effect between these variables. According to these results, the parallel mediating effect of attractiveness and formativeness was not confirmed in the relationship between formativeness and attitude towards advertising. The above study is significant in that it presents academic implications and practical implications by examining the dual and parallel mediating effects of attractiveness and suitability in the relationship between formativeness, advertising attention, and advertising attitude variables, which are considered in the production of virtual influencers.
This study investigated whether the model attributes of VR Ads (3D effect, presence, Dynamics, Amusement) affect the attitude of the advertising. We also examined the mediating role of consumer's innovation in the model attributes and advertising attitude of VR advertisements. To do this, VR equipment was used to induce real advertisers to experience advertisements. The causal relationship between variables was examined through covariance structure analysis. The results are as follows. First, all independent variables of the VR advertising model have a positive effect on the consumer's innovation. Second, the 3D effect, Amusement of the VR advertising model have a positive effect on the attitude of the advertising. Third, the effects of the VR advertising model on all variables are mediated by the consumer's innovation of the VR advertisement. The results of this study provide implications for understanding the characteristics of VR Ads.
Persuasive emotion advertising has great effect on attention and motivation. The using of negative emotions has been an interest in consumer psychology and advertising. This is because emotions place impact on consumers, attention and decision making. Emotions are also believed to cretin evoke brand name from memory. This paper presents the evidence for the impact of negative emotions by comparing then greater with positive emotions advertising.

Suggesting that endorser fit in print advertising can be subdivided into observable endorser-product fit, unobservable endorser-product fit, and observable endorser-background fit, this study empirically investigates their effects on advertising effectiveness. Undergraduate students participated in the study and evaluated three real advertisements on the items of the fits, the advertising effectiveness, and so on. The advertisements were for a watch, perfume, and women's clothing. Results showed that each of fits had an positive effect on advertising attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intention respectively and the observable endorser-product fit had a more positive effect on such an effectiveness than the unobservable endorser-product fit and the observable endorser-background fit in the majority of cases. It was also found that each of the fits had a tendency to exert relatively greater effects on the advertising effectiveness, especially on the purchase intention, compared to the endorser preference.
This study employs an experimental design to investigate the conditions under which the use of AR may be particularly effective or rather ineffective in advertising contexts. We first discuss the inconsistent results regarding the effectiveness of AR on advertising message comprehension and argue that these inconsistencies can be at least partly explained by the moderating effect of an individual's resistance to innovation (i.e., AR technologies). We then provide statistically significant interaction effects between ad types (AR-based, traditional 2D) and innovation resistance. Finally, we suggest that the effect of AR on certain variables is constrained or unconstrained by an individual's level of receptivity or resistance to a new technology-based advertising platform, and that flow experience is equivalent regardless of these levels.
