An optimization design study of producing transuranic nuclides in high flux reactor

  • Transuranic nuclides (such as 238Pu, 252Cf, 249Bk, etc.) have a wide range of application in industry, medicine, agriculture, and other fields. However, due to the complex conversion chain and remarkable fission losses in the process of transuranic nuclides production, the generation amounts are extremely low. High flux reactor with high neutron flux and flexible irradiation channels, is regarded as the promising candidate for producing transuranic nuclides. It is of great significance to increase the conversion ratio of transuranic nuclides, resulting in higher efficiency and better economy. In this paper, we perform an optimization design evaluation of producing transuranic nuclides in high flux reactor, which includes optimization design of irradiation target and influence study of reactor core loading. It is demonstrated that the production rate increases with appropriately determined target material and target structure. The target loading scheme in the irradiation channel also has a significant influence on the production of transuranic nuclides.

A Superior Optical Performance of advanced S-IPS LCDs with Fine Pitch Electrode and Robust Design

  • We have studied on optical properties of advanced S-IPS with a fine pitch electrode and a new finger design. Transmittance of panel increases with decreasing of width and angle of finger electrode. In order to improve transmittance, fine pitch electrode of ${\sim}2{\mu}m$ and rubbing angle of 10 degree have been adopted. Various optical performances are defined as the function of finger design and field intensify across the IPS pixel electrodes. We have developed the advanced electrode structures with a high performance. As a result, the optical properties of 42" full HD with 120Hz frequency shows high transmittance over 5%, contrast ratio of 1800:1, gray-to-gray response time of 4.4ms, respectively. And also we have studied that the moving picture quality of IPS LCD is related with design parameters of IPS cells and finger shape.

  • Optical thickness method using double interferometer showed dynamic variations of both mechanical and optical thicknesses. Packing density measured a thickness ratio of before and after pressed single film. Lower swelled thickness of emitting layer in a device and densely packed film had shown better lifetime.

  • Here we describe the new structured electrochromic(EC) materials to improve the three primary colors (RGB). We also report the simply isolated electrochromic unit cell using gel type electrolyte and show cross-talk' free driving of EC display device.
