전동기 과전압 억제용 OUTPUT REACTOR의 최적 설계 (Cost-effective Design of an Inverter Output Reactor in ASD application)

  • 본 논문은 전동기 과전압 억제용으로 사용되는 인버터 출력 리액터의 최적 설계 방식을 제시하고 있다. 전력선의 길이가 상대적으로 짧은 엘리베이터 구동 시스템의 인버터 출력단에 리액터를 사용하는 경우, 전동기 선간의과 전압 특성을 과 전압 동작 주파수인 상당한 고 주파수 대역에서의 출력 리액터와 전동기 특성에 의해 좌우된다. 따라서, 고 주파수 대역에서의 출력 리액터 및 전동기의 동작 특성을 분석하고, 출력 리액터의 필요 파라미터를 추출하였다. 이를 리액터의 설계 변수하고, 리액터의 고 주파수 특성을 고주파수 특성을 고려하여, 새로운 구조의 출력 리액터 설계방식을 제안하였다. 통상의 출력 리액터와 제안된 방식의 출력 리액터를 용량 15kW급의 엘리베이터 유도 전동기 구동 시스템에서 비교 실험하여, 제안된 방식의 효과를 검증하였다.

권역별 주택금융부채 실태 (Home Financing and its Debt Load of Home-owning Households in korea)

  • It's well known that housing is one of the largest holdings in household wealth and at the same time the majority of households highly concentrate on it for their wealth accumulation. Coupled with a low interest rate and increasing housing price, the rationale is conspicuous and the propensity to debt-financed consumption becomes strengthened. This research was to examine the risk of home financing. In doing so, the study utilized several secondary data to identify the characteristics of households who finance loans for home buying in three regions of the nation - so-called Bubble 7, Seoul Metropolitan Area, and others. Based on the 2009 KB survey, the major findings were as follows: the majority of the studied households in Seoul Metropolitan Area who owned a house lived in rental housing, housing accounted for 89% of the household wealth, and home loans taken on were a ballon payment amortized for a short-term period (5 years) with an adjustable interest rate. In addition, the payment method most of the households depend on is income. The financing mechanism fueled debt load of the households, and further they are financially very vulnerable to such factors as increase in interest rate, unemployment and market downturn. In the absence of understanding the financial system, the consumption behavior leads to house-poor, so that financial accountability and ethics are addressed while the intervention of the government in home financing system should be more cautious but stimulate financial soundness in household wealth accumulation.

  • The basic mechanism of normal pressure hydrocephalus(NPH) is found in an impediment to CSF absorption. In about half of the cases, the etiology remains obscure. NPH is more frequently found in elderly people. The main symptoms are gait disturbances, urinary incontinence and various degree of cognitive changes. The current treatment is ventriculo-peritoneal shunting, ideally using an adjustable valve. In about half of surgical operations, results are poor. Hyeongbangjihwang-tang(荊防地黃湯) is used to treat Soyangin(少陽人) weakness(虛弱) and edema(浮腫). It is and important Gang-Yin(降陰) medicine. A Soyangin patient diagnosed with NPH, who had undergone surgery for ventriculo-peritoneal shunting, was treated with Hyeongbangjihwang-tang. Significant improvement of clinical symptoms was seen, so it is here reported.

Wind profile management and blockage assessment for a new 12-fan Wall of Wind facility at FIU

  • Researchers at the International Hurricane Research Center (IHRC), Florida International University (FIU), are working in stages on the construction of a large state-of-the-art Wall of Wind (WoW) facility to support research in the area of Wind Engineering. In this paper, the challenges of simulating hurricane winds for the WoW are presented and investigated based on a scale model study. Three wind profiles were simulated using airfoils, and/or adjustable planks mechanism with and without grids. Evaluations of flow characteristics were performed in order to enhance the WoW's flow simulation capabilities. Characteristics of the simulated wind fields are compared to the results obtained from a study using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and also validated via pressure measurements on small-scale models of the Silsoe cube building. Optimal scale of the test model and its optimal distance from the WoW contraction exit are determined - which are two important aspects for testing using an open jet facility such as the WoW. The main objective of this study is to further the understanding of the WoW capabilities and the characteristics of its test section by means of intensive tests and validations at small scale in order to apply this knowledge to the design of the full-scale WoW and for future wind engineering testing.

Comparison of the physical characteristics according to the varieties of perilla for the development of a high-quality, high-efficiency cleaner and stone separator

  • The physical characteristics of the major varieties of perilla were analyzed to use as basic data for the design of a high-quality, high-efficiency perilla cleaner and stone separator. Because the size, thousand-grain weight, angle of repose, angle of friction, bulk density and terminal velocity of perilla have significant differences according to the perilla variety, the different of characteristics by variety should be considered for performance improvement of a perilla cleaner and stone separator. Therefore the cleaner and stone separator using a sieve could be improved by the application of a detachable sieve or by using equipment such as a 2 - 3 stage sieve and regulating the slope. Moreover, because differences in the terminal velocity occur due to the differences in the size and thousand-grain weight according to the perilla variety, a blower with an adjustable fan speed was considered for the design of the improved cleaner. Additionally, it was shown that the length of perilla has the greatest correlation based on a comparison of the coefficients of the other characteristics. Accordingly, the length of perilla could be used as a major factor for the fine adjustment and parts replacement of the device. These results can be used as basic data for a high-quality, high-efficiency perilla cleaner and stone separator. In the future, the development of the machine and follow-up studies based on the basic data are needed to determine the optimized operating conditions and mechanism of action.

차세대 IPTV 서비스를 위한 보안 프레임워크 설계 (Design of Security Framework for Next Generation IPTV Services)

  • 최근 디지털 컨버전스가 가속화되면서 급부상하고 있는 차세대 IPTV 서비스는 디바이스에 구애받지 않고 자유롭게 콘텐츠의 생성과 소비가 가능하여, 전송환경과 디바이스의 특성에 맞는 실시간 서비스와 콘텐츠의 재사용 서비스를 확장성 있게 제공함을 특정으로 한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 차세대 IPTV 서비스를 제공함에 있어서 요구되는 보안 요구조건과 이를 해결하기 위한 보안 프레임워크를 제안한다. 제안 방법은 기본적으로 SVC (Scalable Video Coding)를 사용하는 단일 메커니즘으로써, 서비스가 제공되는 모든 구간에 대하여 높은 보안성을 보장하며, 동시에 안전한 미디어 적응변환과 동적인 보안 강도 조절이 가능하다는 장점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 현실적인 서비스 시나리오를 바탕으로 제안 방법의 타당성을 입증하였고, 보안 기술 자체만으로도 새로운 비즈니스 기회를 창출 할 수 있는 가능성을 제시하고 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

4절 링크기구를 이용한 높이 조절 행거 설계 (Design of height adjustable hanger using 4-bar linkage)

  • 2단 행거는 공간 활용도가 높고 설치가 쉬운 장점으로 인해 많은 가정에서 사용되고 있지만 사용 시 높이 조절이 불가능해 사용자가 상단봉에 걸려있는 옷을 내리기에 많은 어려움이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존 2단 행거의 기능 및 장점은 유지하면서 사용자가 의류를 손쉽게 걸거나 꺼낼 수 있는 새로운 형태의 2단 행거 형상을 제안한다. 한 번의 동작으로 상단봉이 사용에 편리한 높이까지 내려올 수 있도록 적절한 링크기구를 설계하였으며 높이 조절 시 상/하단 의류가 겹치지 않도록 상/하단봉의 움직임을 입체형으로 구현하였다. 또한 상단봉이 내려올 때 행거가 넘어지지 않으면서 사용 후 고정이 해제되어 원래의 높이로 올라갈 수 있는 적절한 링크 길이와 조인트 위치 및 구속 조건을 선정하였으며 사용자의 안전을 위해 가스 스프링을 추가하여 하강 및 상승 속도를 조절하였다. 높이 조절시 옷의 하중을 지탱할 수 있도록 FEA 해석을 통해 개선 형상에 대한 안정성을 검증하였으며 실제 제작을 통해 입체형 높이 조절 행거의 작동 여부를 확인하였다.
