The physical and electrical characteristics of MgO and Pt thin-films on it, deposited by reactive sputtering and rf magnetron sputtering, respectively, were analyzed with annealing temperature and time by four-point probe, SEM and XRD. Under annealing conditions of $1000^{\circ}C$ and 2 hr, MgO thin-film had the properties of improving Pt adhesion to $SiO_2$ and insulation without chemical reaction to Pt thin-film, and the sheet resistivity and the resistivity of Pt thin-film deposited on it were $0.1288\;{\Omega}/{\square}$ and $12.88\;{\mu}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$, respectively. We made Pt resistance pattern on $SiO_2$/Si substrate by lift-off method and fabricated thin-film type Pt-RTD(resistance thermometer device) for micro thermal sensors by Pt-wire, Pt-paste and SOG(spin-on-glass). In the temperature range of $25{\sim}400^{\circ}C$, the TCR value of fabricated Pt-RTD with thickness of $1.0{\mu}m$ was $3927\;ppm/^{\circ}C$ close to the Pt bulk value. Resistance values were varied linearly within the range of measurement temperature.

Hot Plate is the major unit that it used to remove damp of wafer surface, to strength adhesion of photoresist (PR) and to bake coated PR in FAB process of semiconductor. The badness of Hot Plate (HP) has directly influence upon the performance of wafer, it is necessary to guarantee the performance of HP. In this study, a reliability evaluation system has been designed and developed, which is to measure and to estimate thermal uniformity and flatness of HP in range of temperature 0~$250^\circC$. This system has included the techniques which measures and analyzes thermal uniformity using infrared thermal vision, and which compensates measuring error of flatness using laser displacement sensor For measuring flatness, a measurement stage of 3 axes are developed which adapts the precision encoder. The allowable error of this system in respect of thermal uniformity is less $than\pm0.1^\circC$ and in respect of flatness is less $than\pm$1mm . It is expected that the developed system can measure from $\Phi200mm\;(wafer 8")\;to\;\Phi300mm$ (wafer 12") and also can be used in performance test of the Cool Plate and industrial heater, etc.
Purpose: This study was to evaluate the expression pattern of CD 18(leukocyte adhesion glycoprotein) in ischemia-reperfusion injury of TRAM flap of rats. Through this study, we can obtain more information about ischemia-reperfusion injury. We want to develop specific medicine to improve the survival rate of TRAM flap in the future. Methods: A TRAM flap supplied by a single pedicle superior epigastric artery and vein was elevated on 60 Sprauge-Dawley rats. The rats were divide into 6 groups (each group n=10); Group O: sham, no ischemia-reperfusion injury, Group I: 2 hour reperfusion after 4 hour ischemia, Group II: 4 hour reperfusion after 4 hour ischemia, Group III: 8 hour reperfusion after 4 hour ischemia, Group IV: 12 hour reperfusion after 4 hour ischemia, and Group V: 24 hour reperfusion after 4 hour ischemia. This study consisted of gross examination for flap survival and flow cytometry study of CD18 on neutrophils. Results: The gross measurement of the flap showed different survival rate in group I(71%), II(68%), III(37%), IV(34%) and V(34%). All experimental groups showed an increase in the expression of CD18 compared to group O. The expression of CD18 was rapidly increased in ascending order in group I, II and III. But, the expression of CD18 was maintained in group IV and V. Conclusion: The results can be implemented in the study to develop drugs which are capable of reducing ischemia-reperfusion injury in microsurgical breast reconstruction.

GaN based light emitting diodes (LEDs) are important devices that are being used extensively in our daily life. For example, these devices are used in traffic light lamps, outdoor full-color displays and backlight of liquid crystal display panels. To realize high-brightness GaN based LEDs for solid-state lighting applications, the development of p-type ohmic electrodes that have low contact resistivity, high optical transmittance and high refractive index is essential. To this effect, indiumtin oxide (ITO) have been investigated for LEDs. Among the transparent electrodes for LEDs, ITO has been one of the promising electrodes on p-GaN layers owing to its excellent properties in optical, electrical conductivity, substrate adhesion, hardness, and chemical inertness. Sputtering and e-beam evaporation techniques are the most commonly used deposition methods. Commonly, ITO films on p-GaN by sputtering have better transmittance and resistivity than ITO films on p-GaN by e-bam evaporation. However, ITO films on p-GaN by sputtering have higher specific contact resistance, it has been demonstrated that this is due to possible plasma damage on the p-GaN in the sputtering process. In this paper, we have investigated the advanced sputtering using plasma damage-free p-electrode. Prepared the ITO films on the GaN based LEDs by e-beam evaporation, normal sputtering and advanced sputtering. The ITO films on GaN based LEDs by sputtering showed better transmittance and sheets resistance than ITO films on the GaN based LEDs by e-beam evaporation. Finally, fabricated of GaN based LEDs by using advanced sputtering. And compared the electrical properties (measurement by using C-TLM) and structural properties (HR-TEM and FE-SEM) of ITO films on GaN based LEDs produced by e-beam evaporation, normal sputtering and advanced sputtering. As a result, It is expected to form plasma damage free-electrode, and better light output power and break down voltage than LEDs by e-beam evaporation and normal sputter.

We obtained TCR value of 3927 ppm/$^{\circ}C$ close to the bulk Pt value. Resistance values were varied linearly within the range of the measurement temperature. The thermal characteristics of fabricated thin-films type Pt micorheater were analyzed with Pt-RTD integrated on the same substrate. The heating temperature of Pt microheater could be up to 40$0^{\circ}C$ with 1.5 watts of the heating power.

In this study, we evaluate the braking performance of an urban railway vehicle to verify its basic safety condition. The braking performance evaluation methods, deceleration measurement and braked weight percentage, were compared for trains with different numbers of cars, in order to assess the advantages of each method and their compatibility. With a probabilistic braking model, the effect of the adhesion coefficient distribution was analyzed in accordance with the train composition. A train with many cars has a narrower deceleration distribution width than one with few cars. The braked weight percentage method is expected to be useful in the design of train signal systems, because it allows the braking distance to be calculated for various initial brake velocities. The deceleration distribution model and its results are expected to be useful as a basis for precise train signal design.

Copper is a well known alloying element that is used to improve the resistance to general corrosion of stainless steel And also Cu cation have the anti-fouling effect to inhibit adhesion of the marine algae and shellfish to the surface of heat exchanger cooling pipe or outside wall of the ship, Therefore there are some anti-fouling methods such as anti-fouling Paint mixed with copper oxide or MGPS(Marine Growth Preventing System) by using Cu cation dissolved to the sea wather solution. Cu cation can be dissolved spontaneously by galvanic current due to Potential difference between Cu and cooling pipe of heat exchanger with Ti material, which may be one of the anti-fouling designs. In this study the effect of annealing heat treatment to galvanic current and Polarization behavior was investigated with a electrochemical points of view such as measurement of corrosion Potential, anodic polarization curve. cyclic voltammetric curve, galvanic current etc The grain size of the surface in annealed at $700^{\circ}C$ was the smallest than that of other annealing temperatures. and also the corrosion Potential showed more positive potential than other annealing temperatures. The galvanic current between Ti and Cu with annealed at $700^{\circ}C$ was the largest value in the case of static condition. However its value in the case of flow condition was the smallest than the other temperatures. Therefore in order to increase anti-fouling effect by Cu cation, the optimum annealing temperature in static condition of sea water is $700^{\circ}C$, however non- heat treated specimen in the case of flow condition may be desirable.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate possibility of using indirect composite resin instead of porcelain through the measurement of shear bond strength between zirconia core and indirect composite resin under treatment of $Rocatec^{TM}$ system for improving the adhesion of indirect composite resin. 20 cylindrical zirconia core specimens were divided into 2 groups, according to zirconia surface treatment and attached materials: 1) treated with sandblast and attached with indirect composite resin, 2) treated with sandblast + $Rocatec^{TM}$ system and attached with indirect composite resin. The shear bond strength of each experimental group was measured by MTS and the changes of zirconia core surface according to surface treatments were obtained by SEM observation and measurements of surface roughness. The mean shear bond strength values are $0.55\;{\pm}\;0.11MPa$(Group SC) and $1.16\;{\pm}\;0.46MPa$(Group SRC). The mean Ra values for the surface treatments were follows: $0.39\;{\pm}\;0.13$($100{\beta}_{{\mu}m}$ sandblast) and $0.50\;{\pm}\;0.03$($100{\beta}_{{\mu}m}$ sandblast + $Rocatec^{TM}$ system). In the analysis of EDS, Si element was detected in the Group SC. The shear bond strength between zirconia core and indirect composite resin was improved significantly by using $Rocatec^{TM}$ system.

We aim to develop the breast bolus by using a 3D printer to minimize the air-gap, and compare it to commercial bolus used for patients undergoing reconstruction in breast cancer. The bolus-shaped region of interests (ROIs) were contoured at the surface of the intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) thorax phantom with 5 mm thickness, after which the digital imaging and communications in mdicine (DICOM)-RT structure file was acquired. The intensity-modulated radiation therapy (Tomo-IMRT) and direct mode (Tomo-Direct) using the Tomotherapy were established. The 13 point doses were measured by optically stimulated luminescence (OSLD) dosimetry. The measurement data was analyzed to quantitatively evaluate the applicability of 3D bolus. The percentage change of mean measured dose between the commercial bolus and 3D-bolus was 2.3% and 0.7% for the Tomo-direct and Tomo-IMRT, respectively. For air-gap, range of the commercial bolus was from 0.8 cm to 1.5 cm at the periphery of the right breast. In contrast, the 3D-bolus have occurred the air-gap (i.e., 0 cm). The 3D-bolus for radiation therapy reduces the air-gap on irregular body surface that believed to help in accurate and precise radiation therapy due to better property of adhesion.

The Inconel 718 alloy is a well-known super-heat-resistant alloy and a difficult-to-cut material. Inconel 718 with excellent corrosion and heat resistance is used in harsh environments. However, the heat generated is not released owing to excellent physical properties, making processes (e.g., adhesion and thermal fatigue) difficult. Tool condition monitoring in machining is significant in reducing manufacturing costs. The cutting tool is easily broken and worn because of the material properties of Inconel 718. Therefore, tool management is required to improve tool life and machinability. This study proposes a method of predicting the tool wear with non-contacting sensors (e.g., IR thermometer for measuring the cutting temperature and a microphone for measuring the sound pressure level in machining). The cutting temperature and sound pressure fluctuation according to the tool condition and cutting force are analyzed using experimental data. This experiment verifies the effectiveness of the non-contact measurement signals in tool condition monitoring.
