회전근개는 견관절의 생역학적 기능에서 매우 중요한 구조물로 파열의 크기, 위치, 양상, 환자의 나이, 활동 정도에 따라 적절한 치료가 요구되며 가능한 한 삼각근의 기능을 저하시키지 않는 방법으로 봉합술을 실시하는 것이 바람직하다.

This study addresses the wear characteristics of electro-rheological(ER) fluids which are potential application candidates for various hydraulic systems. As the first step, three different ER fluids are composed and subsequently tested to observe field-dependent Bingham behaviors. The pin-on-disc testing method is then adopted herein herein to investigate the wear rate of the ER fluids with various base liquids and particle concentrations. In addition, friction coefficients for the ER fluids are evaluated with respect to the normal force.

This paper addresses issues of robustness in Bayesian optimal design. We may have difficulty applying Bayesian optimal design principles because of the uncertainty of prior distribution. When there are several plausible prior distributions and the efficiency of a design depends on the unknown prior distribution, robustness with respect to misspecification of prior distribution is required. We suggest a new optimal design criterion which has relatively high efficiencies across the class of plausible prior distributions. The criterion is applied to the problem of estimating the turning point of a quadratic regression, and both analytic and numerical results are shown to demonstrate its robustness.

This paper presents a survey of the CMOs-based image sensor and its applications to various real field digital camera. CMOS image sensor, called active pixel sensor (APS), has many interesting properties such ash I회 sensitivity, high speed readout, random access and lower power consumption when it is compared with CCd. this paper also addresses the state-of-the-art of CMOS image sensor, and gives some examples of its application to digital camera and special-purpose cameras. with the advancement of semiconductor technology, CMOS image sensor is a future technology for imaging system, and will be widely used in the filed of image capturing for consumer electronics and scientific measurements.

This paper addresses estimation of the relative shift vector from aerial image sequences. We perform similarity function tests and decide the most appropriate similarity function for the visual navigation system using aerial images. Finally, we propose the maximum variance reference line selection method for reducing the estimation error of the shift vector.

One of the major issues in the implementation and maintenance of CIM databases is the sharing and exchange of information among the heterogeneous databases. This paper addresses some architectural aspects for integrating the heterogeneous multi-databases using knowledge-based expert systems. we propose a loosely integrated coupling system between databases and knowledge-based expert systems. Especially we suggest the architectural aspects of such a coupling methodology. we also present the structure and knowledge representation scheme for the proposed knowledge-based expert system. A prototype example is included to illustrate the framework and its mechanism for implementation.

This paper addresses the development of inverse compensation techniques for a class of ferromagnetic transducers including magnetostrictive actuators. In this work, hysteresis is modeled through the domain wall theory originally proposed by Jiles and Atherton[1]. This model is based on the quantification of the energy required to translate domain walls pinned at inclusions in the material with the magnetization at a given field level specified through the solution of an ordinary differential equation. A complementary differential equation is then employed to compute the inverse which can be used to compensate for hysteresis and nonlinear dynamics in control design.

Beginning with a brief introduction on near 100 nm or below CMOS devices, this paper addresses novel devices for future sub-100 nm CMOS. First, key issues such as gate materials, gate dielectric, source/drain, and channel in Si bulk CMOS devices are considered. CMOS devices with different channel doping and structure are introduced by explaining a figure of merit. Finally, novel device structures such as SOI, SiGe, and double-gate devices will be discussed for possible candidates for sub-100 nm CMOS.

This paper addresses the problem of protecting security policies in security mechanisms, such as the detection policy of an Intrusion Detection System. Unauthorized disclosure of such information might reveal the fundamental principles and methods for the protection of the whole network. In order to avoid this risk, we suggest two schemes for protecting security policies in Snort using the symmetric cryptosystem, Triple-DES.

There have been several attempts to describe the recent phonemona of e-tailing and the competition of e-tailers with traditional retailers. However, it appears that the previous models exhibit some shortcomings. With an extension of the well-known circular city model, this paper attempts to relax those limiting assumptions and addresses various issues around electronic commerce: whether e-tailing will eventually drive out traditional retailing, whether e-tailing will necessarily increase competition and lead to lower prices, and whether all the consumers will be better off with more alternatives to choose from.
