Seismic responses of transmission tower-line system under coupled horizontal and tilt ground motion

  • Tests and theoretical studies for seismic responses of a transmission tower-line system under coupled horizontal and tilt (CHT) ground motion were conducted. The method of obtaining the tilt component from seismic motion was based on comparisons from the Fourier spectrum of uncorrected seismic waves. The collected data were then applied in testing and theoretical analysis. Taking an actual transmission tower-line system as the prototype, shaking table tests of the scale model of a single transmission tower and towers-line systems under horizontal, tilt, and CHT ground motions were carried out. Dynamic equations under CHT ground motion were also derived. The additional P-∆ effect caused by tilt motion was considered as an equivalent horizontal lateral force, and it was added into the equations as the excitation. Test results were compared with the theoretical analysis and indicated some useful conclusions. First, the shaking table test results are consistent with the theoretical analysis from improved dynamic equations and proved its correctness. Second, the tilt component of ground motion has great influence on the seismic response of the transmission tower-line system, and the additional P-∆effect caused by the foundation tilt, not only increases the seismic response of the transmission tower-line system, but also leads to a remarkable asymmetric displacement effect. Third, for the tower-line system, transmission lines under ground motion weaken the horizontal displacement and acceleration responses of transmission towers. This weakening effect of transmission lines to the main structure, however, will be decreased with consideration of tilt component.

SSB-OFDM 가시광 통신 기반 부가정보 전송기법 (Additional Data Transmission Technique Based on SSB-OFDM Visible Light Communication System)

  • 본 논문에서는 특정 주파수 대역을 이용하는 통신 방식에서 기저 대역의 주파수 보다 2배의 주파수 대역을 점유하여 발생하는 주파수 자원의 낭비 해결하기 위한 SSB(Single Side Band) 방식의 OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 시스템에 부가적인 데이터를 동시에 전송하는 방식을 제안하였다. 골드 코드(Gold code)를 이용하여 부가 데이터를 대역 확산하여 전송하며, SSB-OFDM 신호에 영향을 주지 않도록 아주 작은 신호의 크기를 갖도록 하였다. 모의실험을 통하여 SSB-OFDM 시스템과 부가전송 데이터 시스템이 동시에 동작할 수 있음을 확인하여, 제안한 방식이 유효함을 입증하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 DQPSK-OFDM 기반의 T-DMB 시스템에서 워터마킹 기법을 적용하여 부가 정보를 전송하는 알고리즘에 대해 알아보았다. 제안된 워터마킹 기법을 T-DMB 시스템에 적용함으로써 지상파 방송 신호를 기반으로 위치 인식 기능뿐만 아니라 부가적인 정보를 전송하여 주파수 효율을 개선할 수 있다. 모의실험을 통하여 제안된 기법의 성능을 분석하였고 유용성을 확인하였다.

송전계통 안전도 제약조건을 반영한 급전계획 알고리즘 개발에 관한 연구 (An Approach for Optimal Dispatch Scheduling Incorporating Transmission Security Constraints)

  • The introduction of competition in electricity market emphasizes the importance of sufficient transmission capacities to guarantee various electricity transactions. Therefore, when dispatch scheduling, transmission security constraints should be considered for the economic and stable electric power system operation. In this paper, we propose an optimal dispatch scheduling algorithm incorporating transmission security constraints. For solving these constraints, the dispatch scheduling problem is decomposed into a master problem to calculate a general optimal power flow (OPF) without transmission security constraints and several subproblems to inspect the feasibility of OPF solution under various transmission line contingencies. If a dispatch schedule given by the master problem violates transmission security constraints, then an additional constraint is imposed to the master problem. Through these iteration processes between the master problem and subproblems, an optimal dispatch schedule reflecting the post-contingency rescheduling is derived. Moreover, since interruptible loads can positively participate as generators in the competitive electricity market, we consider these interruptible loads active control variables. Numerical example demonstrates efficiency of the proposed algorithm.

  • ATSC (Advanced Television Systems Committee) 지상파 DTV 시스템에서 단일 주파수 망 (Single Frequency Network) 구성 시 동일한 주파수 대역을 사용하는 다수의 송신기와 중계기들로 인하여 수신기에서는 필연적으로 간섭이 발생하게 된다. 이러한 간섭 문제를 해결하기 위하여 ATSC recommended practice (RP) A/111에서는 Kasami 수열로 구성된 송신 식별 (Transmitter Identification, TxID) 신호를 각 송신기 및 중계기에 할당하고 이를 송신 신호에 부가하여 전송한다. 본 논문에서는 TxID 신호로 제안된 Kasami 수열의 극성 및 위상을 조절하여 부가데이터를 전송하는 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법에서 Kasami 수열은 송신기 및 중계기를 식별하기위한 TxID 신호로서의 기능을 수행할 뿐만 아니라 추가적으로 부가데이터를 전송할 수 있는 장점이 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 T-DMB 시스템에서 워터마킹 기법을 적용하여 재난방송용 부가정보를 전송하는 알고리즘에 대해 알아보았다. 제안된 기법을 T-DMB 시스템에 적용함으로써 확산코드를 통한 부가정보 전송이 가능하고 주파수 효율도 개선할 수 있다. 재난상황 발생시, 제안된 워터마킹 기법을 통해 생성된 재난정보를 T-DMB 시스템을 통해 전송함으로써 재난에 대처할 수 있다, 모의실험을 통하여 제안된 기법이 적용된 T-DMB 시스템의 오류 성능 및 워터마킹 레벨, 코드 길이에 따른 재난방송용 워터마킹 정보의 경출 성능을 분석하였고, 유용성을 확인하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 기술은 데이터 전송 방식으로 OFDM을 사용하는 통신 시스템에서 워터마킹을 이용한 부가정보 전송 기술 연구를 위한 유용한 자료로 활용 될 수 있을 것이다.

지게차 전용 동력전달시스템의 설계 및 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design and Development of the Power Transmission System for Lift Truck)

  • In this thesis, we explain developing processes of the power transmission system for lift truck. Conventional power transmission system had some problems such as spatial constraints or low speed and high torque problem. Because conventional power transmission system was mainly designed for high speed vehicles. In this paper we developed power shift drive axle specialized for $2.0{\sim}3.5$ ton lift truck. Innovative structure of transmission which is built in inside axle, enables to reduce system weight and size by 40% compared to the conventional power transmission system. Also, it is possible to do additional functions such as auto parking system and anti-roll back system.

제주지역 계통특성을 고려한 다기(Multi-Infeed) HVDC 시스템 운전 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Operation Strategies of Multi-Infeed HVDC System in Jeju Island Power System)

  • As recently the demand on electric power has been increasing, the requirement of power supply reliability has been increased. Accordingly, the number of HVDC transmission systems in the world has been steadily increased, which have been installed in the power system to transmit a large capacity power to the long distant and interconnect the power grid between different countries. etc. #1 HVDC Transmission System was installed between Haenam and Jeju island in 1998, which is the first HVDC system furnished in korea. and has been operated until now. Before #1 HVDC Transmission System being installed, the power system of the Jeju Island is a isolated power system from that of Korea mainland. After the construction of #1 HVDC the system has made the Jeju power system more reliable and also been able to supply the mainland power, which was cheaper than that of Jeju island, to Jeju island. The construction of additional HVDC transmission system between mainland and the Jeju Island has been currently underway to cope with recent changes of the power market of the Jeju island, for examples the increase of power demand and the capacity of wind power generation. etc. #2 HVDC Transmission System construction was completed in 2012. #3 HVDC Transmission System will be also installed according to the plan. If all goes as planned, the Jeju power system will be operated with Multi-Infeed HVDC system connected to mainland power system. So the additional studies are needed in order to maintain the stability of the Jeju power system and get the efficiency of the Multi-Infeed HVDC system. Therefore, in this paper, the optimal operation strategies of the Multi-Infeed HVDC system between the mainland of Korea and the Jeju are suggested to ensure the stability of the power system in Jeju Island when the Multi-Infeed HVDC system is operated between two power system.

MOK-SS매핑 기반의 T-DMB 부가데이터 전송기법 (Additional Data Transmission Technology for T-DMB Systems using MOK-SS mapping)

  • 본 논문에서는 지상파DMB(T-DMB)전송신호에 고효율로 부가적인 데이터의 전송을 가능하게 하는 기술로서 MOK-SS(Mary Orthogonal Keying- Spread Spectrum)매핑 기반의 T-DMB 부가데이터 전송기법을 새롭게 제안하였다. 본 논문에서는 T-DMB에 기존의 ATSC(Advanced Television Systems Committee)방식 디지털 TV에서 다루던 송신기 식별기술(TxID;Transmitter Identification)용 워터마킹기법을 T-DMB에 적용함과 동시에 MOK-SS매핑기술까지 활용하여 부가적인 데이터 전송율을 획기적으로 증가시켰다. 본 논문에서는 제안한 기술에 대하여 몇가지 사례에 대한 모의실험 및 성능분석을 통하여 제안기술의 유용성을 확인하였다.

  • A current differential relay may maloperate for external faults with CT saturation and requires an additional method to cope with the problem. This paper proposes a current differential relaying algorithm for transmission line protection using an advanced compensation algorithm of the secondary current of CTs. The compensation algorithm is unaffected by a remanent flux. The proposed algorithm does not need an additional method for CT saturation and thus can achieve high stability for an external fault.
