Primary cutaneous mucinous carcinoma (PCMC) is a rare malignancy of the sweat glands that most commonly affects the periorbital area. It is characterized by slow growth over a prolonged period, and its morphology can be easily confused with a benign tumor, such as an epidermal cyst. Consequently, many patients experience recurrence after undergoing multiple resections. However, there are few reports concerning the surgical management of PCMC. We present two cases of PCMC originating in the periorbital area. The first case involved a 76-year-old man with a mass measuring 3.0×1.5 cm that had been increasing in size. The second case was a 61-year-old man with two masses, each measuring 1.0×1.0 cm, that were also growing. Both patients underwent wide excision with a 5-mm safety margin, which was determined based on the widest view of the cross-section of the mass on the magnetic resonance imaging. Subsequently, based on the intraoperative frozen biopsy results, both patients underwent additional excision with a 5-mm safety margin in only one direction. This report shows that, when determining the surgical margin of PCMC in periorbital area, employing imaging modalities and intraoperative frozen biopsies can be helpful for narrowing the surgical margin.

The heat and mass transfer on two kinds of tube surfaces (bare stainless steel tube and Teflon coated tube) in steam-air mixture flow are experimentally studied to obtain design data for the heat exchanger of the latent heat recovery from flue gas. In the test section, 3-tubes are horizontally installed, and steam-air mixture is vertically flowed from the top to the bottom. The pitch between tubes is 67mm, the out-diameter of tube is 25.4mm, and the thickness is 1.2mm ; blockage factor (cross sectional tube area over the cross sectional area of the test section) is about 0.38. All of sensors and measurement systems (RTD, pressure sensor, flow-meter, relative humidity sensor, etc.) are calibrated with certificated standard sensors and the uncertainty for the heat transfer measurement is surveyed to have the uncertainty within 7%. As experimental results, overall heat transfer coefficient of the Teflon (FEP) coated tube is degraded about 20% compared to bare stainless tube. The degradation of overall heat transfer coefficient of Teflon coated tube comes from the additional heat transfer resistance due to Teflon coating. Its magnitude of heat transfer resistance is comparable to the in-tube heat transfer resistance. Nusselt and Sherwood numbers on Teflon (FEP) coated surface and bare stainless steel surface are discussed in detail with the contact angles of the condensate.
Purpose: To investigate body compositons and bone mineral density(BMD) in college women and to find the relationship between them. Method: From January to March of 2001, BMD at four parts(forearm, lumbar, femur and whole body), body mass index(BMI), body fat mass(BFM), lean body mass(LBM) and body fat percentage(%Fat) were measured with the Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry. Other physical characteristics were measured with a scale, a height measurer, and questionnaires. Result: Grouping by the BMI, 43.2% showed low weight, and 5% over weight. When applying the percent Fat, 43.8 % was diagnosed as obesity group. The fact indicate that a majority of college women have unbalanced body composition with high percent Fat, compared to their body weight. Assessing the BMD with the WHO standards, 91.4~95.7% of the BMD of forearm and whole body was normal. But, 40.3% and 33.1~43.9% showed osteopenia at lumbar and femur, and 104 %, 0.7~7.2% showed osteoporosis. The BMD at all parts showed significant correlation each other(r=.29~.89, p=.001~.000). Body weight and BMI showed correlations to with BMDs at all parts of the body(r=.19~46, p=.025~.000; r=18~.45, p=.039~.000). But the percent Fat had a correlation with only femur neck BMD(r=.19, p=.024). Conclusion: This study showed a majority of healthy college women were exposed to the risk for osteoporosis. Additional study is required to develop nursing interventions to remove the risk factors of osteoporosis. In particular, the acquisition of balanced body composition is necessary, increasing body weight and BMI through the increase of LBM, not through the quantitative increase of BFM.

Bronchogenic cyst is rare lesion that arises from maldevelopment of the primitive foregut, and is usually found in the lung and mediastinum. Cutaneous or subcutaneous bronchogenic cyst is rare and occur unusually in the shoulder region. We report here a case of 20-month-old boy with a bronchogenic cyst on his left shoulder region. He underwent incisional biopsy and curettage for a tender cystic mass at a department of dermatology, diagnosed as a epidermal inculsion cyst. But, additional cystic mass was palpated during wound care. MRI showed a well-defined subcutaneous cystic mass. The excised cyst was lined with pseudostratified ciliated columnar epithelium with occasional goblet cells and diagnosed as a bronchogenic cyst.
Objectives: The association between body mass index (BMI) and ovarian cancer risk is unclear and requires further investigation. The present meta-analysis was conducted to assess the effect of overweight and obesity on ovarian cancer risk in the premenopausal and postmenopausal periods. Data sources: Major electronic databases were searched until February 2014 including Medline and Scopus. Reference lists and relevant conference databases were searched and the authors were contacted for additional unpublished references. Review Methods: All cohort and case-control studies addressing the effect of BMI on ovarian cancer were included, irrespective of publication date and language. The effect measure of choice was risk ratio (RR) for cohort studies and odds ratio (OR) for case-control studies. The results were reported using a random effects model with 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Results: Of 3,776 retrieved studies, 19 were ultimately analyzed including 10 cohort studies involving 29,237,219 person-years and 9 case-control studies involving 96,965 people. The results of both cohort and case-control studies showed being overweight and obesity increased the risk of ovarian cancer compared to women with normal weight during both premenopausal and postmenopausal periods: RR=1.08 (95%CI: 0.97, 1.19) and OR=1.26 (95%CI: 0.97, 1.63) for overweight and RR=1.27 (95%CI: 1.16, 1.38) and OR=1.26 (95%CI: 1.06, 1.50) for obesity. Conclusions: There is sufficient evidence that an increase in BMI can increase the risk of ovarian cancer regardless of the menopausal status, mimicking a dose-response relationship although the association is not very strong.

Mass spectrometry technique provides the molecular weight distribution, data on the sequence of repeat units, polymer additives, and impurities, and structural information. time-of-Flight secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (TOF-SIMS) has been used for structural characterization of various polymers1-2. the masses of repeat units and terminal groups and molecular weight distributions of polymers have been determined from their TOF-SIMS spectra. TOF-SMIS provides good sensitivity and structural specificity for high mass ions so that intact oligomers and large polymer fragments are observed. In this study, we investigated the detailed structural information on the oligomers and fragment ions of branched poly(1,3-butylene adipate) and branched poly[di(ethylene glycol) adipate] and the transesterification products of branched polyesters with trifluoroacetic acid or chloro difluoroacetic acid. Branched polyesters were chosen because they are important polymers but difficult to characterize; thus branched polyesters provide challanging test for TOF-SIMS. TOF-SIMS spectra of polyesters are obtained from thin polymer films cast from solution on a silver substrate. A good solvent for a polumer solution disrupts intermolecular forces between polymer chains but leaves the polumer intact. Transesterification reactions are potentially useful for characterization of high molecular weight and intractable polyesters. Transesterification products of polyesters and trifluoroacetic acid or an integral number of polyester repeat units and an additional diol. The progress of such reactions was monitored using peak intensities of reactants and products in TOF-SIMS spectra. The increasing abundance of tagged ions indicates that the reaction has progressed with time.
This paper presents a new method to represent the secondary deformation effect using simple mass-spring simulation on the vertex shader of the GPU. For each skin vertex of a 3D character, a zero-length spring is connected to a virtual vertex that is to be rendered. When a skin vertex changes its position and velocity according to the character motion, the position of the corresponding virtual vertex is computed by mass-spring simulation in parallel on the GPU. The proposed method represents the secondary deformation effect very fast that shows the material property of a character skin during the animation. Applying the proposed technique dynamically can represent squash-and-stretch and follow-through effects which have been frequently shown in the traditional 2D animation, within a very small amount of additional computation. The proposed method is applicable to represent elastic skin deformation of a virtual character in an interactive animation environment such as games.
This paper describes the development of HVDC ${\pm}500kV$ polypropylene laminated paper (PPLP) mass-impregnated (MI) type cable system for HVDC transmission lines. As you know, mass-impregnated type cable generally has only insulating layer with the Kraft paper impregnated with a high-viscosity insulating compound. But polypropylene laminated paper is made of a layer of extruded polypropylene (PP) film sandwiched between two layers of Kraft paper. Thanks to PP film and its combination with Kraft paper, PPLP has higher AC, Impulse (Imp.) and DC breakdown (BD) strengths as well as lower dielectric loss than conventional Kraft paper insulation. In addition, Kraft MI cable has a limitation for the maximum conductor temperature as $55^{\circ}C$ But this PPLP MI cable has higher maximum conductor temperature than that of Kraft MI cable due to advantage of oil drainage characteristics. It is the most economic type of cable for HVDC transmission. Also HVDC ${\pm}500kV$ PPLP MI cable system was developed including land joints and outdoor-terminations. In order to prove the mechanical and electrical performances, the type test was carried out according to CIGRE recommendations. A full scale cable system has been tested successfully. And additional load cycle and polarity reversal tests on the cable system showed a higher performance compared with a similar mass impregnated paper cable.
Congenital polyvalvular disease is a connective tissue disorder affecting more than one heart valve with variable involvement of the entire valvular and subvalvular apparatus. It is frequently associated with the Trisomy 18 and trisomy 13-15 or ventricular septal defect and patent ductus arteriosus. We present an isolated case of congenital polyvalvular disease in a new born baby with a review of the pertinent literatures, which has not been described in Korea. The mass was discovered as a right atrial mass in the prenatal ultrasonography and it was thought to be either a hematoma or a myxoma in the preoperative echocardiography. Microscopic examination of the surgically resected mass showed irregular thickening, nodulation, and additional features of calcification and ossification in the valvular connective tissue on the body of anterior and septal leaflet of tricuspid valve. Congenital polyvalvular disease should be included in the differential diagnosis in cases showing valvular calcification or ossification in the fetal echocardiography.

The purpose of this study is a men's dress shirt pattern by somatotype for mass customization system that is rising to the surface as a new production system. Subjects were 65 men aged from 25 to 44 for making research pattern and 9 men for wearing test. The dress shirt went through the secondary wearing test and sensory evaluation to verify the propriety of the research pattern. The results were as follows: For making research dress shirts pattern used the body parts size that were height, the circumference of the neck, the chest circumference, the length between biacromion, the arms length, and the waist circumference. The waist back length, the waist to hip length and the pattern length of were set by the calculation formula based on the height. The ease of 16cm for the chest circumference and A type had the ease of 10cm for the waist circumference, Y type had the ease of 8cm and B type had 12cm. Through the wearing test, the research pattern showed significant difference from the comparative patterns so additional two items of the length between biacromion and waist circumference were added to the items used in the comparative patterns through which satisfactory results were obtained. In the secondary wearing test for the dress shirt, all the items, except for the front centerline, were evaluated excellent. As a result of evaluating by the figure type, the normal type was evaluated best in all the items.
