Leipholz 기둥의 안정성에 미치는 자유단의 탄성구속과 말단질량의 영향 (Influence of Elastic Restraint and Tip Mass at Free End on Stability of Leipholz's Column)

  • An analysis is presented on the stability of an elastic cantilever column having the elastic restraints at its free end, carrying an added tip mass, and subjected to uniformly distributed follower forces. The elastic restraints are formed by both a translational spring and a rotatory spring. For this purpose, the governing equations and boundary conditions are derived by using Hamilton's principle, and the critical flutter loads and frequencies are obtained from the numerical evaluation of the eigenvalue functions of this elastic system. The added tip mass increases as a whole the critical flutter load of the elastic cantilever column, but the presence of its moment of inertia of mass has a destabilizing effect. The existence of the translational and rotatory springs at the free end increases the critical flutter load of the elastic cantilever column. Nevertheless, their effects on the critical flutter load are not uniform because of their coupling. The translational spring restraining the free end of the cantilever column decreases the critical flutter load by coupling with a large value of tip mass, while by coupling with the moment of inertia of tip pass its effect on the critical flutter load is contrary. The rotatory spring restraining the free end of the cantilever column increases the critical flutter load by coupling with the tip mass, but decreases it by coupling with the moment of inertia of the tip mass.

  • 본 연구에서는 효과적인 풍력발전기 블레이드의 상태 모니터링을 위하여 대표적 손상형태 중 하나인 로터의 질량 불균형으로 인한 이상상태를 감지할 수 있는 기법을 제안하였다. 이를 위하여 수평축 3-블레이드 풍력발전기를 대상으로, 블레이드 1개의 질량을 증가시키면서 로터의 질량 불균형 조건을 구현한 후 전체 풍력발전기에 대한 동력학 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 질량 불균형이 발생하면 부가질량에 의한 원심력에 의하여 나셀의 로터 회전축에 대한 횡방향 진동이 발생하고, 부가 질량의 크기가 커질수록 나셀 횡방향 진동의 진폭이 거의 선형적으로 증가함을 알 수 있었다.

  • We present the boundary value problem (BVP) for the heave motion due to a vertical circular cylinder in water of finite depth. The BVP is presented in terms of velocity potential function. The velocity potential is obtained by considering two regions, namely, interior region and exterior region. The solutions for these two regions are obtained by the method of separation of variables. The analytical expressions for the hydrodynamic coefficients are derived. Computational results are presented for various depth to radius and draft to radius ratios.

  • A calculation of the two dimensional added mass moment of inertia for the Kim's chine form sections is made with a special consideration of a location of a axis of rotation. The results are compared with those of Lewis form section equivalent to the above chine form sections calculated by Kumai.

Effect of Al Addition on the Precipitation Behavior of a Binary Mg-Zn Alloy

  • The effect of Al addition on the precipitation behavior of a binary Mg-Zn alloy was investigated based on the changes in the morphology, distribution and element concentration of precipitates formed during aging treatment. The as-cast Mg-6.0 mass%Zn (Mg-6Zn) and Mg-6.0 mass%Zn-3.0 mass%Al (Al-added) were homogenized at 613 K for 48 h and at 673 K for 12 h; they were then solid solution treated at 673 K for 0.5 h and 1 h, respectively. The Mg-6Zn and Al-added alloys were aged at 403 K and 433 K. The peak hardness of the Al-added alloy was higher than that of the Mg-6Zn alloy at each aging temperature. Rod-like, plate-like, blocky, and lath-like precipitates were observed in the Al-added alloy aged at 433 K for 230.4 ks, although the rod-like and plate-like precipitates were observed in the TEM microstructure of the Mg-6Zn alloy aged at 433 K for 360 ks. Moreover, the precipitates in the Al-added alloy were refined and densely distributed compared with those in the Mg-6Zn alloy. The Cliff-Lorimer plots obtained by the EDS analysis of the rod-like ${\beta}_1^'$ and plate-like ${\beta}_2^'$ phases in the Al-added alloy peak aged at 433 K for 230.4 ks were examined. It was confirmed that the ${\beta}_2^'$ phases had higher concentration of solute Al atom than was present in the ${\beta}_1^'$ phases, indicating that the properties of precipitates can be changed by Al addition.

유체력을 고려한 보-유추 선체진동 해석 (Beam-Like Ship Vibration Analysis in Consideration of Fluid)

  • 선박의 보-유추 진동해석에 있어 2차원 부가수질량의 3차원 효과를 고려하기 위해서 3차원 수정계수(J-factor)를 계산해야 하는데 광폭선의 경우에는 J-factor의 계산이 부정확하고 번거롭다. 이 논문에서는 이를 개선하기 위해 새로운 선박의 보-유추 접수진동해석 방법을 소개하였다. 이 방법은 선박에 접수된 유체에 대해 BEM 기법을 이용하여 3차원 유체력을 직접 계산하고 이를 일정 간격으로 나눈 각 스트립에 집중질량으로 평가한 후에 선체의 보모델과 결합하여 보-유추 진동해석을 수행하는 방법이다. 오픈탑 컨테이너선의 모델에 대해 기존의 보-유추 진동해석방법과 이 논문에서 제시한 새로운 진동해석방법을 이용하여 진동해석을 수행하고 가진 실험에 의한 진동계측결과와 상호 비교함으로써 새로운 방법의 유용성을 검증하였다.

직사각형판(直四角形板)의 접수진동(接水振動) (The Vibration of an Elastic Rectangular Plate in a Fluid)

  • It is a well-known phenomenon that, in the case of vibrations of an elastic body in a fluid such as water, the presence of the surrounding fluid has the effect of lowering the natural frequencies of the vibration as compared with those in air or vacuum on account of the increased inertia, i.e. added mass. In this report, defining the mass increase factor as the ratio of added mass to vibration mass of the body in air, the author investigated the mass increased factor of an elastic plate vibrating in the fluid. It is assumed that the edges of the plate are simply supported, and that the surrounding fluid is an infinite ideal one. For the problem formulation the elliptical cylindrical coordinate system is adopted, so that a rectangular plate may be represented by a sheet degenerated from an elliptical cylinder. By virtue of the coordinate system adopted, plates which are chordwisely finite and lengthwisely contineous could directly be treated, but plates which are chordwisely finite in both directions could not be treated directly. For the latter, hence, plates which are chordwisely finite and lengthwisely semi-finite are investigated as an appropriate approximation. Some examples of the mass increase factor are numerically calculated for the fundamental mode and modes of zero or one nodal line in each direction with the range of the aspect ratio from 1 to 10 or more.

부가수 질량을 고려한 외팔판의 고유진동 해석 (Natural Frequency Analysis of Cantilever Plates with Added Mass)

  • The high-skewed and/or composite propellers of current interests to reduce the ship vibration and to increase the acoustic performance are likely to be exposed to the unexpected structural problems. One typical example is that the added mass effect on the propellers working in the non-uniform wake field reduces the natural frequency of the propeller leading to the resonance with the low-frequency excitation of the external forces. To avoid this resonance problem during the design stage, the technique of fluid-structure interaction has been developed, but the higher-order effect of the blade geometry deformation is not yet considered in evaluating the added mass effects. In this paper the fluid boundary-value problem is formulated by the potential-based panel method in the inviscid fluid region with the velocity inflow due to the body deformation, and the structural response of the solid body under the hydrodynamic loading is solved by applying the finite element method which implements the 20-node iso-parametric element model. The fluid-structure problem is solved iteratively. A basic fluid-sturcture interaction study is performed with the simple rectangular plates of thin thickness with various planform submerged in the water of infinite extent. The computations show good correlation with the experimental results of Linholm, et al. (1965).

비선형거동과 구조물유체상호작용을 고려한 취수탑 내진모델의 보수성평가 (Conservation for the Seismic Models of Intake Tower with Nonlinear Behaviors and Fluid Structure Interaction)

  • 본 연구에서는 물로 둘러싸인 철근콘크리트 취수탑에 대한 비선형내진해석을 수행하였다. 구조물 주변의 유체를 고려하기 위하여 부가질량 및 CEL을 이용한 유체구조물 상호작용 모델을 구성하였다. 이 때 부가질량모델은 음해법을 사용하였고 유체구조물 상호작용 모델은 양해법을 사용하였다. 입력운동은 동일한 인공지진을 재현주기에 따라 500년, 1000년, 2400년에 해당하도록 크기를 조절하였다. 유체를 고려한 모델의 보수성을 평가하기 위하여 유체를 고려하지 않은 모델을 구성하여 참조해로 삼았다. 콘크리트와 철근의 재료모델은 항복후의 비선형 거동을 고려할 수 있도록 선정하였고 ABAQUS를 이용하여 해석을 수행하였다. 해석결과 얻어진 구조물의 가속도응답스펙트럼을 비교한 결과 주변 유체의 영향은 구조물의 기본 진동수에 해당하는 첨두의 진동수와 첨두값의 크기를 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 부가 질량 모델에서는 고차 진동수에 해당하는 첨두값에는 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 유체의 영향을 고려한 단면모멘트는 부가질량모델의 경우 참조 모델의 응답에 비하여 크게 증가하였다. 특히 선형거동이 지배적인 작은 크기의 지진응답에 대해서 이러한 증폭이 크게 발생하였다. 유체구조물 상호작용 모델의 경우 낮은 진동수성분을 가진 단면모멘트는 참조모델의 응답에 비하여 증폭이 발생하나, 높은 진동수 성분을 단면 모멘트는 증폭이 발생하지 않았다. 이러한 결과를 종합하여 볼 때 부가질량모델의 보수성이 유체구조물상호작용 모델이 비해 큰 것으로 평가되었다.
