This article introduces ADAPT Corporation's latest software product for the integrated multistory analysis and design of concrete buildings, ADAPT Edge. Edge uniquely packages user-friendly modeling of multistory buildings, accurate gravity and lateral analysis, post-tensioning, and detailed slab and beam design, all in one software package. The benefits of Edge over traditional concrete design software are explained.

이 연구는 경호학을 전공하는 대학생을 대상으로 무도수업에 참여하는 학생들의 학습양식을 파악하여 이러한 특성이 전공 만족도와 대학 생활 적응에 어떠한 영향을 미치고 있는 지를 분석하였다. 경호학 전공 남녀 재학생들을 대상으로 총 285명을 대상으로 무도학습 참여양식, 전공 만족도, 대학생활적응 설문지를 이용하여 조사하였다. 무도학습 양식이 전공 만족도와 대학생활 적응에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 상관관계분석과 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 무도학습 참여 양식의 하위요인 협동적, 참여적 양식이 전공만족도의 일반만족, 교과만족, 관계만족, 인식만족 모두에서 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 무도학습 참여 양식은 하위요인인 협동적, 경쟁적, 참여적 양식이 학교생활적응의 학업적, 사회적, 대학 환경적 적응에서 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 전공만족도의 하위요인인 일반만족이 대학생활적응의 학업적응, 사회적 적응, 대학 환경적 적응에서 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

In this paper, we suggest how to adapt RFID system to train switching process, and then what we get the merit or problem. We analyze the train switching process to adapt RFID system on the process and have field test. The role of RFID system in train switching process is to automatically read car position information. The specification of the test system is 900MHz, and Gen2 passive tag. If we get the system which automatically read car position information in train switching yard, it prevents human errors and makes more reliability, the performance of train operation will grow up. Even though the environment of train switching yard is outdoors, the test result gives us the ability to adapt RFID system to train switching process and the process will be more simple.

A comprehension-based computational model of pilot action planning called ADAPT is presented to model pilot performance in a flight simulation context. Individual pilots were asked to execute a series of flight maneuvers using a flight simulator, and their eye-scanning, control movements, and flight performance were recorded in a time-synched database. Computational models of each of the 25 individual pilots were constructed, and the individual models simulated execution of the same flight maneuvers performed by human pilots. The time-synched eye-scanning, control movements, and flight performance of individual pilots and their respective models were compared to test ADAPT's predictive validity.

With the recent increase in the number of foreign settlers in our country, we need a societal system which they can adapt well in. In order to successfully settle in our society, the marriage immigrants who especially plan a life in a new environment should be supported with support programs, especially to help them adapt to their very basic housing environment as their daily environment. From this research, through a program analysis of multi-cultural family support centre, the societal support helping to adapt to the residential environment for marriage immigrants in each nation was examined, and grasp an understanding on their adaptation to the housing environment by conducting interviews about housing environment adaptation examples. From the result of analyzing the 100 programs of the multi-cultural family support system, it could be seen that for the marriage immigrants to adapt, various programs are needed. In other words, there are effective programs for the early settlement of the marriage immigrants such as Korean education, tradition culture education, provision of district daily information, but it could be seen that heavier education was needed for, than for the sake of the marriage immigrants who took such education. Through adaptation case examples of 8 marriage immigrants from 5 different countries, it was realizable that the housing problems the marriage immigrants go through, are not limited to themselves, but also are related to the safety of their family and adaptation problems with their children. Therefore, by developing an adaptation program to help with housing environmental adaptation, the lives of the marriage immigrants' families will be supported, and will support early settlement, which then basic preparation for human resources as district societal use will be needed. By developing a program with a housing environmental professional, and if there is a positive effect and achievement, it is expected that there will be a standard program system available for all marriage immigrants.

Recently reinforcement learning has attracted attention of many researchers because of its simple and flexible learning ability for any environments. And so far many reinforcement learning methods have been proposed such as Q-learning, actor-critic, stochastic gradient ascent method and so on. The reinforcement learning system is able to adapt to changes of the environment because of the mutual action with it. However when the environment changes periodically, it is not able to adapt to its change well. In this paper we propose the reinforcement learning system that is able to adapt to periodical changes of the environment by introducing the time-varying parameters to be adjusted. It is shown that the proposed method works well through the simulation study of the maze problem with aisle that opens and closes periodically, although the conventional method with constant parameters to be adjusted does not works well in such environment.

With the recent increase in the number of foreign settlers in our country, a societal system is needed which they can adapt to more easily. The results of the study were as follows. First, from the result of analyzing the 171 programs of the multi-cultural family support system, it could be seen that in order for the marriage immigrants to more successfully adapt, various programs are needed. Second, when the study had an interview with 13 marriage immigrants from China, Vietnam and Philippine about their adaptation to residential environment, they had a high satisfaction with their residential environment when their spouses' educational level was high. In, they appraised that South Korea was superior to their native land in scale and facilities of buildings and the buildings of their native land were superior to those in South Korea in terms of soundproof applications, natural lighting and ventilation, which were indoor environmental elements. Third, they were generally satisfied with their residential environment. However, they stated that it took 6 months~ two years to adapt to the Korean residential environment because of the differences in the residential environment compared to their homeland. A based on the research result, the housing adviser is necessary in the marriage immigrants.

The purpose of this study is to understand how late middle-aged women in our society view and adapt to “aging”. This is a crucial step forward linking two stages, the growing young age and the declining old age, which eventually improves the qualify of life in old a9e. This qualitative study used Personal narratives extracted from tape-recorded interviews of 20 late middle-aged women in their fifties and analyzed key experiences of late middle-aged women in their transition to old age. Participants were observed to perceive not only many limitations but also alternative potentialities. First, the major challenges due to the closing young era were ‘physical declines’, including health problems and wrinkles, and ‘leaving children’. Second, the potentialities to start a new era also could be found. Many participants found themselves to be generous enough to assist others in need. In addition, they looked to adapt to new challenges. It was likely that the many adversities that they had faced made them resilient. These results show that late middle-aged women were actively negotiating with themselves and their surroundings in order to overcome their losses, maintain their potentialities, and, in the process, acknowledge their impending old age for better preparation.

This study is planned to help women in international marriages to develop their sense of self-esteem and their family life and to adapt to Korean society, The findings are as follows: First, the women in international marriage tend to have low self-esteem and difficulty to adapt themselves to the society due to language barrier, cultural conflicts, sense of alienation, isolation and so on. however, now they seem to have the strength of mind by themselves, to accept other people and to adapt to the society better than before the education program by having had communications with the program members and their allied mothers in the program. Second, the cohesion among the program members per session has improved over the sessions, and the members' interest in the education program has increased. moreover, the members have opened up themselves over time. Third, the alliances with Korean teachers as their allied mothers not only helped their Korean but also taught the members about family life. It helped the members to adjust to their family life and became a mental support.
