실측유량 자료를 활용한 홍수량 빈도해석 기법 평가 (Evaluation of flood frequency analysis technique using measured actual discharge data)

  • 수자원의 계획 및 설계에 활용되는 홍수량 산정 방법은 홍수량 빈도해석 방법과 강우-유출모형에 의한 방법이 사용된다. 홍수량 빈도해석 방법은 홍수량 자료를 직접 빈도해석 하여 확률홍수량을 산정하며 이론적으로 가장 정확한 방법으로 평가된다. 기존의 홍수량 해석은 자료의 제약으로 인하여 실측유량의 직접 빈도해석은 한계가 있었으나 과거부터 국가적으로 수문조사를 수행하여 10년 이상의 실측유량 자료를 확보할 수 있는 수준에 도달하였다. 본 연구는 수위-유량 관계곡선식을 통하여 안정적으로 확보된 실측유량 자료를 활용하여 홍수량 빈도해석을 수행하였다. 홍수량 빈도해석을 위하여 Bayesian 기법을 적용하여 매개변수를 산정하고 빈도별 홍수량의 불확실성을 정량화하였다. 확률홍수량 산정 결과는 장기간의 강우량 자료를 적용하여 강우-유출모형으로 산정된 홍수량과 근접한 것을 확인하였다. 수문조사를 통하여 장기간의 실측유량 자료를 활용하여 다각적인 관점으로 수문해석이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

  • 건설공사의 표준품셈에 의한 자원기반 적산방식은 정부고시 노임단가와 기자재의 공시가 격에 표준적이고 보편적인 공법 및 공종에 대한 단위작업당 재료량, 노무량, 장비사용시간 등을 수치로 표시한 품을 곱하여 견적하였다. 그러나 자원기반 적산방식은 실제 거래가격을 적절히 반영하지 못하는 한계점이 발생하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 이러한 한계점을 극복하기 위하여 새로운 시도로 수로터널 현장을 대상으로 Cutter 점검/교환, TBM 정비, TBM 점검/급유, 후속설비, 광차, 운영교대, 갱내보강/낙반보강, 안전/회의의 작업 공종 별로 TBM 굴진 생산성을 분석하고, 이를 근거로 순굴진속도를 분석하여 실적 공사비를 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 제시하는 실적공사비 산정 접근법은 TBM 수로터널 현장에서 실적 공사비를 예측하는데 유용한 도구로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 확신한다.

The Comparative Analysis of 3D Software Virtual and Actual Wedding Dress

  • This study is intended to compare an actual wedding dress being made completely through 3D software, and compare it with an actual dress of a real model by using collective tools for comparative analysis. The method of the study was conducted via a literature review along with the production of the dresses. In the production, two wedding dresses for the small wedding ceremony were designed. Each of the design was made into both 3D and an actual garment. The results are as follows. First, the 3D whole body scanner reflects the measure of the exact human body size, however there were some difficulties in matching what the customer wanted, because the difference of the skin color and the hair style. Second, the pattern of the dress is much more easily altered than it was in the real production. Third, the silhouette of the virtual and the actual person with the dress was nearly the same. Fourth, textile tool was much more convenient because of the use of real-time rendering on the virtual dresses. Lastly, the lace and biz decoration were flat, and the luster was duller than in reality. Prospectively, the consumer will decide their own design of variety through the use of the avatar without wearing the actual dresses, and they would demand what the another one desired, different from the presented ones by making the corrections by themselves. Through this process, the consumer would be actively participating in the design, a step which would finally lead to the two way designing rather than the one way design of present times.

콘크리트의 공극 간격 데이터를 활용한 실측간격계수 개발 (Development of Actual Measurement Spacing Factor Using Spacing Data of Air Void in Concrete)

  • 콘크리트의 공극구조를 평가하기 위한 대표적인 모델 중 하나가 Power가 제안한 간격계수(SF : spacing factor)인데, 이 PSF(power spacing factor)는 평균단일공극 개념을 사용하여 갇힌 공극의 존재 여부에 따라 그 결과값이 실제와 상이하게 나올 수 있는 단점이 있다. 이에 이 연구에서는 실측된 공극 간격 데이터를 이용하여 지수화한 AMSF(실측간격계수 : actual measurement spacing factor)를 개발하였으며, 콘크리트 혼합물의 화상 분석 결과를 이용하여 PSF와 AMSF를 비교 평가하였다. 이 연구 결과, PSF와 AMSF는 전반적으로 유사한 경향을 나타내고 있으나, PSF가 $400{\mu}m$ 이상일 때 전반적으로 AMSF가 좀 더 큰 값을 나타내고 있어, 공기량이 작은 콘크리트 혼합물의 경우 PSF는 실제보다 좀 더 작은 값으로 예측할 가능성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 갇힌 공극의 유무에 따른 PSF와 AMSF 각각을 분석한 결과, AMSF는 갇힌 공극을 포함하지 않고 분석한 값이 더 크게 나타났고, PSF는 실제와 다르게 갇힌 공극을 포함하지 않고 분석한 값이 더 작게 나타났다. 이와 같이 PSF가 이와 같은 경향을 나타내는 이유는 평균단일공극 개념을 사용하기 때문이며, 이 분석 결과를 통해 AMSF가 좀 더 실제에 가까운 분석기법임을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Durability estimation of a prototype vehicle has traditionally relied heavily on accelerated durability tests using predefined proving grounds or rig tests using a road simulator. By use of those tests, it is very difficult to predict durability failures in actual service environments. This motivated the development of an integrated CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) methodology for the durability estimation of a prototype vehicle in actual service environments. Since expensive computational costs such as computation time and hardware resources are required for a full vehicle simulation in those environments with a very long span of event time, the conventional CAE methodologies have little feasibility. An efficient computational methodology for durability estimations is applied with theoretical developments. The effectiveness of the proposed methodology is shown by the comparison of results of the typical actual service environment such as the city mode with those of the typical accelerated durability test over the Belgian road.

Climatic Water Balance Analysis using NOAA/AVHRR Satellite Images

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the climatic water balance of the Korean peninsula using meteorological data and the evapotranspiration (ET) derived from NOAA/AVHRR. Quantifying water balance components is important to understand the basic hydrology. In this study, a simple method to estimate the ET was proposed based on a regression approach between NDVI and Morton's actual ET using NOAA/AVHRR data. The Morton's actual ET for land surface conditions was evaluated using a daily meteorological data from 77 weather stations, and the monthly averaged Morton's ETs for each land cover was compared with the monthly NDVIs during the year 2001. According to the climatic water balance analysis, water deficit and surplus distributed maps were created from spatial rainfall, soil moisture, and actual and potential ETs map. The results clearly showed that the temporal and spatial characteristics of dryness and wetness may be detected and mapped based on the wetness index.

  • This paper is concerned with the fatigue behaviour of welded joints by the notch stress approach. The actual welded shape is complex and 3-dimensional that may influence greatly the fatigue strength. The purpose of the paper is to present a way of modelling the actual weld bead shape by using a 3-D Laser scanner for experimental models of steel plates with longitudinal fillet welds, and applying its results to a proper notch stress method for the fatigue strength. The present approach to assess the fatigue strength is quite promising with application to a variety of welded joints and effects of weld profiling to fatigue strength.

Performance Analysis Model for Flap Actuation System using MATLAB/Simulink

  • In this paper, we present some results on performance analysis for flap actuation system of aircraft. For this, by utilizing MATLAB/Simulink solution, which is widely used physical model-based design tool, we particularly construct the architecture of the analysis model consisting of the main three phases: 1)commanding and outer-controlling the flap angle through flight control computer; 2)generating hydraulic/mechanical power through control module and power drive unit; 3)transmitting torque and actuating the flap through torque tube and rotary geared actuators. For mimicking the motion of the actual flap, we apply each mechanical component, which is already being used in actual aircraft, to our performance analysis model so that it guarantees the congruency of the simulation results. That is, we reflect the actual specifications of flap hardware and software as parameters of the model. Finally, simulation results are presented to illustrate the model.

배수지의 배수효율분석을 위한 추적자실험 및 전산유체해석 (Tracer Experiment and Computational Fluid Dynamics Analysis for the Drainage Efficiency of a Reservoir)

  • During the water treatment process for household water supply, a reservoir is the last place the water is stored before being supplied to users, and the duration of the water's stay is an important factor that affects its safety. This may cause the concentration of the residual chlorine disinfectant to increase and thus lower the water's quality. The concentration and discharge efficiency of residual chlorine must be verified and managed, because these are key factors that affect the reservoir's performance. Because the actual verification test for analyzing the efficiency of a reservoir and the disinfectant's dilution capacity is difficult, simulations are generally conducted using the computational fluid analysis method. However, the simulation results require validation with experiments. The error and drainage efficiency were analyzed in this study by comparing and analyzing the actual tracer test and simulation so that the actual test for a hexagonal drainage can be replaced by the computational fluid analysis method. Based on the results of the efficiency analysis, the hexagonal reservoir was found to be appropriate, and the simulation's reliability was verified with a tracer test.
