Extension service in Korea has radical changes in accordance with local autonomy acts, 1994, and reformed rural development acts, 1995. According to these acts, the role of the central government is to arrange local extension service carried out by local extension office, to present basic plans on technical knowledge diffusion or farmers training to local government, and so on. Local extension office is a part of local government, and extension service is commited to the local government.

This research has attempted to asses the relationship between trust management, the element of service discretion act, and the quality of the service. The research model and assumption have been set up based on such a theoretical research and the demonstrative analysis of the customer-encountering employees of five-star hotels in Seoul. The results of the study are as follows; First, the rationalization of management can be achieved by improving the service through having a command of trust management as a management strategy. Second, there has been significant differences between variables such as the degree of importance and accomplishment of trust management. And it tells us that it is necessary to improve the range of service discretion acts up to the level where the difference between importance and accomplishment is not in existence. Third, the variable changes according to demographic characteristics show us the necessity of providing individualized education by recognizing the differences among groups. Fourth, the trust management has a considerable effect on the quality of the service, and this indicates that the quality of the service can be improved through expanding the range of service discretion acts of customer-encountering employees.

In new code of local government rules the county extension office is a pact of the local government and extension service is committed to local government. The purpose of this study was to develope the scale for measuring the five languages of couples. A 50 item instrument was analyzed with responses from 100 persons(50 couples) dwelling in Kwangju. Data were analyzed by the method of Pearson＇s Cronbach＇ $\alpha$ test. Items were loaded five categories such as quality time, words of affirmation, receiving gift, acts of service and physical touch. The test is shown to have internal consistency reliability and satisfactory content validity. The result proposed the 27 items constructed scale. (Korean J Human Ecology 1(2):1~11. 1998)

The purpose of this study is to compare the standards and guidelines of long-term care facilities based on the physical environments and human resources in Korea, Japan, USA, and Australia. Ultimately, this study suggests the directions for amendments of long-term care service or running of the facilities in Korea. For achieving this purpose, we reviewed the homepage of national health departments, reports and articles of long-term care service, and acts related with long-term care in each country. This comparisons were carried in terms of physical environments, human resources by long-term care related acts and legal sanctions as means of quality control. This study implies that long-term care service guidelines or standards should be revised for developing the quality of our long-term care services.

Today, the basic problem of functional safe management of Korean Disaster Control system was separately administrated 33 acts that are relating to safe management in 13 ministries. Because of the facts that the fire service is not provided practically, the control system and risk management for safe administration are not operated, the information can not be shared with each other, and the various laws have the lacks of linkage, the National Safe System was appeared unsteady. The roles and functions of fire service have started with restriction to operate structurally and institutionally, which operational structure of fire service is becoming weak. As a result, the federal and local fire organizations have not reached yet to the institutionalization and the local fire service agencies have bias with the task regarding the fire service because of the relation between organizational structure and the local fire agency. With the enforcement of the federal and local fire system, professionality and autonomy for making policy, and dealing with changes of fire service positively, the national fire service on the policy performance can be established. Promotion of research and development and education training to strengthen innovation in technology and competition in fire industry will contribute to the firmly establishment of control system to prevent from fire, flood, terror and national disaster. This article proposed that (a) the established law and administration, agency are required efforts to effectively operate fire service system; (b) the national fire service agency, national college of fire, national institute of science fire, and national fire service hospital should be early established to make firmly policy to operate effectively and practically. These kinds of innovational acts are known the best ways of operating solid policy of national fire service system.

To transform the enterprise system into the 'Real Time Enterprise' with respect to IT, I suggest the conceptual application model which is composed of pieces(components) extracted from different packaged applications working in a heterogeneous environment based on the 'business activity' in other words, business services provided by internal (inter-enterprise) and external (extended enterprise) application to support a business activity within in an enterprise and the design mechanism focusing service tier which acts as intermediate tier within application architecture.

Objectives: To investigate safety and health management, conditions in factories or facilities handling radiation-generating devices and radioactive isotopes were reviewed in terms of regulations of radiation safety control in Korea. Radiation exposure levels generated at those facilities were directly measured and evaluated for establishing an effective safety and health management plan. Methods: Government organizations with laws and systems of radiation safety and health were investigated and compared. There are three laws governing radiation-related employment such as occupational safety and health acts, nuclear safety acts, and medical service acts. We inspected 12 workplaces as research objects:four workplaces that manufacture and assemble semiconductor devices, three non-destructive inspection workplaces that perform inspections on radiation penetration, and five workplaces in textile and tire manufacturing. Monitoring of radiation exposure was performed through two methods. Spatial and surface monitoring using real-time radiation instruments was performed on each site handling radiation generating devices and radioactive isotopes in order to identify radiation leakage. Results: According to the occupational safety and health act, there is no legal obligation to measure ionizing radiation and set dose limits. This can cause confusion in the application of the laws, because the scopes and contents are different from each other. Surface dose rates in radiation generating devices such as implanters, thickness gages and accelerators, which were registered according to nuclear safety acts, using surveymeters, and seven of 36 facilities(19.4%) exceeded the international standards for surface radiation dose of $10{\mu}Sv/hr$. Conclusions: The results showed that occupational health and safety acts require a separate provision for measuring and assessing the radiation exposure of workers performing radiation work. Like noise, ionizing radiation will also periodically be controlled by including it in the object factors of work-environment measurement.

일반적으로 십 수 편의 분량으로 구성된 드라마는 가장 인기 있는 방송프로그램 장르 중의 하나로서 시간의 흐름에 따라 등장인물의 지위, 신분, 상호간 관계가 변하고 드라마 내용에 영향을 주는 중요한 행위들이 산발적으로 발생하는 특징을 갖고 있다. 따라서 중간에 드라마 시청을 누락하는 경우 변화된 등장인물들의 정보와 새롭게 발생한 중요 행위에 대한 정보 없이는 드라마 내용 이해에 곤란을 겪게 되고 드라마 시청을 포기하는 경우도 발생할 수 있다. 이 에, 본 논문은 드라마와 연동되어 매 편 최신 업데이트된 등장인물의 정보와 중요 행위들의 정보를 시청자에게 제공하는 데이터 서비스를 고안하였다. 본 데이터 서비스는 현재 시청 중인 장면에 등장하는 인물들을 중심으로 정보를 제공하여 신속한 내용 이해와 장면 속 대화에서 언급되는 인물의 정보도 제공하여 폭넓은 내용 이해를 돕는 특징을 갖고 있다. 본 논문은 데이터 서비스에 대한 전반적 소개와 정형적으로 정의된 드라마 장면 구분 정보와 등장인물 정보, 그리고 이 정보를 전송하기 위한 디지털방송 국제표준인 DVB-SI 기반의 데이터 전송 방법을 담고 있다.
