In this paper, we propose nonlinear congestion controller for active queue management of differentiated-services networks. Two important issues in differentiated-services architecture are bandwidth guarantee and fair sharing of unsubscribed bandwidth among TCP flows with and without bandwidth reservation. The nonlinear congestion controller was composed fuzzy logic controller and state feedback controller. The nonlinear congestion controller methodology has been applied to a TCP network. We use NS-2 simulation to demonstrate that the proposed control methodology achieves the desired behavior of the network, and possesses important attributes.

In this paper, we propose a control scheme for improving the performance of a conventional Proportional-Integral (PI) controller for Active Queue Management (AQM) supporting TCP flows. When the PI controller is used for AQM, the windup phenomenon of the integral action causes the performance degradation. Therefore we model AQM as a system with a saturator and apply anti-windup methods to the PI controller for AQM. We compare the performances of anti-windup algorithm with the conventional PI controller through ns simulations. The simulation results show that the PI controller with anti-windup method performs better than the conventional PI controller.

Mobile Node has to maintain communication as they move form place to place, so it doesn't guarantee Quality of Service(QoS). Fast Handoff is important to provide multimedia and real-time applications services in mobile, and it is closely related to handoff delay. Therefore, handoff delay problem is actively studied to quarantee QoS as a main issue in mobile IP research area. Next generation Mobile IPv6 resolve this problem somewhat, triangle problem for first packet and handoff delay still remain. In this paper, we suggest SNMP Information-based routing that adds keyword management method to Information-based routing in active network in order to resolve such a problem, and then suggest QoS controlled handoff based on SNMP Information-Based routing. After modeling of suggested method and existing handoff method, simulations are carried out with NS-2 for performance evaluation. The results of simulations show the some improvement on handoff delay, and therefore on QoS improvement.

The study was conducted to project supply and demand of the nurses till year 2010 based on analysis of supply and demand of nurses up to year 1991. Results of the study will provide invaluable information for nurses manpower planning as well as overall health manpower planning for the 21th century. It is projected that nurses will be oversupplied based on the current prductivity which is undesirable situation if the quality of care is considered, and undersupplied based on the the medical law as well as optimal productivity. Thus, it is desirable to increase active supply of nurses. One of the ways of increasing active supply would be increasing the size of training and education. But, considering low employment rate of nurses which is about 59% better way of solving problems related to nurses shortage would be improvement in nurses' employment rate. According to simulation study done as part of this study, if nurses' employment rate goes up to 80%, there is no need for increasing the size of training to meet the demand at the level of medical law.

As technologies are developed and systems are complicated, hazards embedded in the system are also increasing. proving safety and managing the safety is more scientific and organizational domain so that safety management system is pursuing to be active formation detecting the factors of hazard and managing them beyond passive-way. In the future, in order to establish and manage national safety management system, it is important to have effective system and manage it and also more important that all the people related to target system has to change their recognition and to play roles in it.

Managing apartments is critical not only to handling the physical deterioration over time, but also to the quality of community life, social environment and ultimately residents' satisfaction with the housing environment. Therefore, this study aims at understanding residents' awareness of apartment management, and finding the relationship between management activities and residents' satisfaction and participation by comparing an apartment with active management and an apartment without it. This study examines 1) management activities of two subject apartment complexes, and 2) how management activities affect residents' participation and satisfaction. Surveys were conducted of the residents, and SPSS statistics package was utilized to analyze the survey data. This study found that management activities of apartment complex have positive influence on residents' participation and satisfaction with their housing environment. The results of this study can be utilized as basic materials to develop effective guidelines and manual from the perspective of environmental management of apartment houses, in order to improve the participation of the residents in the apartment management.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to develop a substantive theory on self-management conducted by the adolescents with chronic kidney disease from their lived experience. Methods: Data was collected through in-depth interviews from May to December in 2015 with thirteen adolescents with chronic kidney disease. The data collected were analyzed on the basis of Strauss and Corbin's grounded theory. Results: The core of the category found in this study was "overcoming the unstable sense of self- control and integrating disease experience into their life". The causal conditions triggering the central phenomenon were "restriction in daily life" and "manifestation and aggravation of symptom". The central phenomenon in the experience of self-management within the adolescents with chronic kidney disease was "unstable sense of self control". The intervening condition for unstable self control were "micro system support" and "motivational resources". This study found that the adolescents with chronic kidney disease followed a series of strategies when they faced the central phenomenon, including; passive coping, reappraisal of illness, active coping, compliance with treatment, controlling physical activity, and adjusting school life. With these strategic approaches, the adolescents with chronic kidney disease could maintain their active lifestyles and achieve their health behaviors. The process of self-management by these adolescents passed through four phases; limited experience caused by diseases, effort for normalization, reorganizing their daily lives, and integration with daily lives and self-management. Conclusion: This Study explored the process and experience of self-management of adolescents with chronic kidney disease. These findings can be used for basis for developing substantive theory and nursing intervention strategy for adolescents with chronic kidney diseases.
