A performance of CNC 3-axis pipe profile-cutting machine we developed was evaluated by measuring and verifying a positioning accuracy of its feeding unit and a cutting shape accuracy of pipe workpiece. The positioning accuracy was verified by comparing moving distance actuated by PLC motion controller with actual one measured by a laser interferometer. The cutting shape accuracy was also verified by comparing a cutting shape obtained through scanning and 3D modeling the pipe workpiece with that through CL data.
A thermal-hydraulic system code is an essential tool for the design and safety analysis of a nuclear power plant, and its accuracy quantification is very important for the code assessment and applications. The fast Fourier transform-based method (FFTBM) by signal mirroring (FFTBM-SM) has been used to quantify the accuracy of a system code by using a comparison of the experimental data and the calculated results. The method is an improved version of the FFTBM, and it is known that the FFTBM-SM judges the code accuracy in a more consistent and unbiased way. However, in some applications, unrealistic results have been obtained. In this study, it was found that accuracy quantification by FFTBM-SM is dependent on the frequency spectrum of the fast Fourier transform of experimental and error signals. The primary objective of this study is to reduce the frequency dependency of FFTBM-SM evaluation. For this, it was proposed to reduce the cut off frequency, which was introduced to cut off spurious contributions, in FFTBM-SM. A method to determine an appropriate cut off frequency was also proposed. The FFTBM-SM with the modified cut off frequency showed a significant improvement of the accuracy quantification.

The aim of this study is to provide empirical evaluation of the accuracy of data-model fit using growing levels of invariance models. Overall model accuracy of factor solutions was evaluated by the examination of the order for testing three levels of measurement invariance (MIV) starting with configural invariance (model 0). Model testing was evaluated by the Chi-square difference test (∆𝛘2) between two groups, and root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA), comparative fit index (CFI), and Tucker-Lewis index (TLI) were used to evaluate the all-model fits. Factorial invariance result revealed that stability of the models was varying over increasing levels of measurement as a function of variable-to-factor ratio (VTF), subject-to-variable ratio (STV), and their interactions. There were invariant factor loadings and invariant intercepts among the groups indicating that measurement invariance was achieved. For VTF ratio (3:1, 6:1, and 9:1), the models started to show accuracy over levels of measurement when STV ratio was 6:1. Yet, the frequency of stability models over 1000 replications increased (from 69% to 89%) as STV ratio increased. The models showed more accuracy at or above 39:1 STV.

Ultrasound examination using ultrasound equipment is an ultrasound device that images human organs using sound waves and is used in various areas such as diagnosis, follow-up, and treatment of diseases. However, if the quality of ultrasound equipment is not guaranteed, the possibility of misdiagnosis increases, and the diagnosis rate decreases. Accordingly, The Korean Society of Radiology and Korea society of Ultrasound in Medicine presented guidelines for quality management of ultrasound equipment using ATS-539 phantom. The DenseNet201 classification algorithm shows 99.25% accuracy and 5.17% loss in the Dead Zone, 97.52% loss in Axial/Lateral Resolution, 96.98% accuracy and 20.64% loss in Sensitivity, 93.44% accuracy and 22.07% loss in the Gray scale and Dynamic Range. As a result, it is the best and is judged to be an algorithm that can be used for quantitative evaluation. Through this study, it can be seen that if quantitative evaluation using artificial intelligence is conducted in the qualitative evaluation item of ultrasonic equipment, the reliability of ultrasonic equipment can be increased with high accuracy.
A large number of residential buildings in regions subjected to severe earthquakes do not have enough load carrying capacity. The most of them have been constructed without receiving any structural engineering attention. It is practically almost impossible to perform detailed experimental evaluation and analytical analysis for each building to determine their seismic vulnerability, because of time and cost constraints. This fact points to a need for a simple evaluation method that focuses on selection of buildings which do not have the life safety performance level by adopting the main requirements given in the seismic codes. This paper deals with seismic assessment of existing reinforced concrete residential buildings and contains an alternative simplified procedure for seismic evaluation of buildings. Accuracy of the proposed procedure is examined by taking into account existing 250 buildings. When the results of the proposed procedure are compared with those of the detailed analyses, it can be seen that the results are quite compatible. It is seen that the accuracy of the proposed procedure is about 80% according to the detailed analysis results of existing buildings. This accuracy percentage indicates that the proposed procedure in this paper can be easily applied to existing buildings to predict their seismic performance level as a first approach before implementing the detailed and complex analyses.

Albeit the use of terrestrial 3D laser scanner (TLS) in the parts of landslide monitoring, cultural heritage documentation, civil engineering, urban engineering, etc. is increasing more and more, there is no international standardization regulation about the accuracy evaluation of the geometric element values, target, instrument calibration and test procedures, etc. Accordingly, this study deals with the manufacturing of TLS performance test target and the evaluation of TLS distance measurement and shows its suitability as the test target.

Medical laser equipment using optical energy is used to surgery and treat diseases by destroying and removing tissue. Domestic laser equipment has been used steadily in the skin and cosmetics sectors and has been changed to radiate high-power energy in a wide range to shorten patient treatment time. However, side effects such as burns and damage of normal tissues occurred. To solve this problem, techniques for detecting lesions using an imaging device and selectively radiating the laser have been developed. In this study, we proposed an evaluation method to evaluate the safety and performance of target detection accuracy, laser irradiation accuracy and motion protection device technology derived from product analysis and investigation. Finally, the validity of the evaluation method was evaluated by evaluating the imaging device based laser equipment as the proposed evaluation method.
This study aimed to evaluate weather forecast accuracies of minimum temperature, maximum temperature, precipitation and sky cover by the localized land forecast areas over South Korea Average forecast accuracy score of precipitation was the lowest while that of sky cover was the highest during the study period Overall forecast accuracy scores for Gangwon-do was the lowest while those for Gyeongsangnam-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do were higher than other areas. The frequencies of perfect forecast(eight points) by seasons, were the highest during winter and the lowest during summer. pressure pattern analyses for days when forecast accuracy scores were poor, showed that precipitation forecast accuracy scores were lower due to the movement of the stationary fronts during summers. When continental polar air masses expanded, forecast accuracy of temperature became greatly lower during autumns and winters As the migratory anticyclone pattern rapidly moved, forecast accuracy became lower during springs and autumns. Forecast accuracies were compared by wind directions at 850hPa for the Young-dong region where forecast accuracy was the lowest. Forecast accuracy scores on minimum and maximum temperatures were low when winds were westerlies and forecast accuracy scores of precipitation were low when winds were easterlies.
In Korea, the quality control(QC) program forcytopathology was introduced in 1995. The program consists of a checklist for the cytolopathology departments, analysis data on all the participating institutions' QC data, including the annual data on cytologic examinations, the distribution of the gynecological cytologic diagnoses, as based on The Bethesda System 2001, and the data on cytologic-histolgical correlation of the gynecological field, and an evaluation for diagnostic accuracy. The diagnostic accuracy program has been performed 3 times per year with using gynecological, body fluid and fine needle aspiration cytologic slides. We report here on the institutional QC data and the evaluation for diagnostic accuracy since 2004, and also on the new strategy for quality control and assurance in the cytologic field. The diagnostic accuracy results of both the participating institutions and the QC committee were as follows; Category 0 and A: about 94%, Category B: 4-5%, Category C: less than 2%. As a whole, the cytologic daignostic accuracy is relatively satisfactory. In 2008, on site evaluation for pathology and cytology laboratories, as based on the "Quality Assurance Program for Pathology Services" is now going on, and a new method using virtual slides or image files for determining the diagnostic accuracy will be performed in November 2008.

Photogrammetry is one of the most important sources of GIS application. Nowadays, color photos are used and camera is integrated with GPS/INS sensors. However the photos are still taken from analogue camera and scanned for digital image. For the convenient and accurate image application especially for 3D, airborne digital camera images is essential. In this paper, digital image calibration process with GPS/INS and its accuracy evaluation was presented.
