A Study on the Synthesis of Multivalued Logic System Using Current-Mode Techniques (전류방식기법에 의한 다치론이계의 구성에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, interest in multivalued(MV) logic system has been increased, despites the apparent difficulties for practical application. This is because of the many advantages of the MV compared with the 2-valued logic systems, such as; (a) higher speed of arithmetical operation on account of the smaller number of digits required for a given data, (b) better utilization of data transmission channels on account of the higher information contents per line, (c) potentially higher density of information storage. This paper describes a MV switching theory and experimental MV logic elements based on current-mode logic technique. These elements tried were a 3-stable pulse generator, a ternary AND, a ternary OR, a MT circuit and a ternary inverter. Tristable flops which are indispensable for constituting a ternary shift register are synthesized using these gates. A BCD to TCD decoder, and vice versa, are proposed by using a ternary inverter and some binary gates. Thus, the feasibility of a large scale MV digital system has been demonstrate.

  • 차세대 통신에서는 컴퓨터자원들이 지속적으로 대용량화 고속화되는 추세이며 특히 생명공학, 유전공학, 유체역학 기상기후 예측 동 여러 과학 분야에서 단일자원으로는 제공하기 힘든 계산 및 저장자원을 요구 하고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 지리적으로 분산 되어있는 자원들을 연결하여 마치 단일 차원을 사용하는 것처럼 해주는 서비스인 그리드가 대두 되었다. 그러나 그리드 사용자가 작업을 수행시키기 위해서는 자신의 DN(Distinguished Mame)을 Remote Machine상에 Local User Account를 바인딩 시켜줘야 한다. 따라서 각 사이트 관리자는 그리드 서비스를 제공하기 위해 수많은 그리드 사용자의 DN과 Local User Account를 바인딩 처리를 해 주어야 한다. 그러나 사실상 현실적으로 불가능하다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 그리드 사용자에 대한 정책기반 접근 제어 시스템을 설계 및 구현했다.

Numerical Simulation of Radio Signal Characteristics in Meteor Burst Radio Channel (유성 버스트 통신 경로의 무선 신호 특성 해석)

  • The formulas taking into account the fundamental features of a meteoric radio propagation are obtained. Numerical simulation analysis has shown complex space structure of a field. Time behavior of intensity are researched taking into account nonstationary model. It is shown, this behavior essentially depends on parameters of a meteor trail, and that there is large variety of time dependencies of the signal intensity at the single scattering. In particular, at appropriate parameters of a meteor underdense trail it is possible large duration meteor bursts with which usually refer to an overdense meteor propagation.

  • This paper proposes DIT (Digital Investment Trust) agent based on ECSSL (Elliptic Curve SSL). This DIT agent is a banking project using IT (Investment Trust) conception based on EC (Electronic Commerce) and can manage micro payment, account opening and account transferring. In addition, ECSSL (Elliptic Curve SSL) protocol is implemented which consists of much better encryption functions than existing SSL (Secure Socket Layer) Protocol. Therefore, This DIT agent based on ECSSL protocol protects a customer's information and asset from third party.

An Analysis of Syntactic and Semantic Relations between Negative Polarity Items and Negatives in Korean. (결합범주문법을 이용한 한국어 부정극어와 부정어의 통사 및 의미적 관계 분석)

  • Negative polarity items(NPIs), which function as quantifiers are licensed in a syntactically strict way by negatives, which function as qualifiers, resulting in universal negating interpretations as pairs. We present a proposal to explain the related phenomena, in which the syntax and the semantics are closely related to each other, with Combinatory Categorial Grammar. For this purpose, we first adopt the usual approach to scrambling, but control its overgeneration with the use of markers, taking into account the complex syntactic phenomena involving NPIs and scrambling in Korean. We also propose to utilize polarity intensity as a novel feature, in order to account for the universal negating interpretations when NPIs are combined with negatives. Our proposal also explains the difference in readings when other quantifiers or qualifiers intervene the NPI and the related negatives.

Contrastive Focus and Variable Case Marking: A Comparison between Subjects and Objects

  • This paper examines the (a)symmetries in the realization of focused subjects and objects in Korean. Through rating experiments, we demonstrate that native speakers' judgments of acceptability of sentences containing case-marked or case-ellipsed subjects and objects are sensitive to the contrastiveness strength and the discourse accessibility of focused arguments. However, our experiments also show that focused subjects exhibit stronger preference for explicit case marking over case ellipsis and that contrastiveness strength and discourse accessibility have weaker influence on the case marking and ellipsis of focused subjects compared to focused objects. We propose an account of variable case marking that is capable of subsuming both the similarities and differences between focused subjects and objects under the universal theory of markedness. In particular, it is shown that the similarities between focused subjects and objects are predicted by the proposed account based on the contrastiveness strength and the discourse accessibility of focused arguments and that the differences between focused subjects and objects follow naturally from the relative markedness of focus as subjects.

Systemic Review of Clinical Studies about Oriental Medical Treatment of Cancer in Korea (국내에 보고된 한국 한의학의 암치료 임상연구에 대한 계통적 고찰)

  • Objectives : Recently, the number of cancer patients who use complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), including oriental medicine, are increasing. Also, evidence for efficacy and safety of cancer CAM is reported continuously. This study was designed to evaluate the quality of the published papers for clinical studies about oriental medical cancer treatment in Korea. Methods : We searched for clinical research papers on the websites of the Korean oriental medical society and subsidiary academies, Korean traditional knowledge portal. Koreanstudies information service system (KISS), etc. We used the reference words 'cancer', 'malignant tumor', 'leukemia', 'lymphoma', 'multiple myeloma', 'melanoma', etc, We then chose studies that had been presented between 1991 and 2008 and analyzed them by publication year, design, cancer type, intervention, subject and journal. Results : There were 86 clinical research papers that were published between 1991 and 2008. The number of clinical studies has increased in a time-dependent manner. Case reports and case series studies account for 78% of total clinical research. Studies of lung cancer account for 17%. Studies of cancer-related symptoms of cancer patients account for 38%. Studies of Hang-Am-Dan account for 33%. Studies published in the journal of the Korean Society of Oriental Internal Medicine account for 35%. Conclusion : The clinical research papers about oriental medicine are increasing over time, but most of the studies are retrospective case reports or case series. Well-designed and prospective clinical trials would be recommended to provide more reliable evidence.

A Query Randomizing Technique for breaking 'Filter Bubble'

  • The personalized search algorithm is a search system that analyzes the user's IP, cookies, log data, and search history to recommend the desired information. As a result, users are isolated in the information frame recommended by the algorithm. This is called 'Filter bubble' phenomenon. Most of the personalized data can be deleted or changed by the user, but data stored in the service provider's server is difficult to access. This study suggests a way to neutralize personalization by keeping on sending random query words. This is to confuse the data accumulated in the server while performing search activities with words that are not related to the user. We have analyzed the rank change of the URL while conducting the search activity with 500 random query words once using the personalized account as the experimental group. To prove the effect, we set up a new account and set it as a control. We then searched the same set of queries with these two accounts, stored the URL data, and scored the rank variation. The URLs ranked on the upper page are weighted more than the lower-ranked URLs. At the beginning of the experiment, the difference between the scores of the two accounts was insignificant. As experiments continue, the number of random query words accumulated in the server increases and results show meaningful difference.

The Design and Implementation of Mobile Application Solution for Forest Fire based on Drone Photography and Amazon Web Service (AWS)

  • Last year's Goseong-Sokcho forest fires have highlighted the limitations of extinguishing work for night-time forest fire and the importance of quick identification for information on the spread of forest fire. However, it is not easy to find services that take into account the characteristics of forest fires, as most existing disaster-related mobile applications and research assume various disaster situations rather than just forest fire situations. Therefore, a system that can provide information quickly is needed, taking into account the characteristics of forest fires and the limitations of extinguishing work. In this paper, we propose evacuation route guidance services that bypass areas where fire has already spread, supplement existing methods of extinguishing work, and provide general information on forest fire situations in real time, by putting drones into forest fire situations. It has been implemented to automate image analysis using the Rekognition service of Amazon Web Service (AWS), and the results of fire detection and the T Map API guide the evacuation path. It is expected that the results of this paper will allow efficient and rapid rescue and extinguishing work to be carried out, and further reduce the damage of human life caused by forest fires.

  • Modeling the properties of complex alloys such as nickel superalloys is an extremely challenging scientific and engineering task. The model should take into account a large number of uncorrelated factors, for many of which information may be missing or vague. The individual contribution of one or another chemical element out of a dozen possible ligants cannot be determined by traditional methods. Moreover, there are no general analytical models describing the influence of elements on the characteristics of alloys. Artificial neural networks are one of the few statistical modeling tools that can account for many implicit correlations and establish correspondences that cannot be identified by other more familiar mathematical methods. However, such networks require careful tuning to achieve high performance, which is time-consuming. Data preprocessing can make model training much easier and faster. This article focuses on combining physics-based deep network configuration and input data engineering to simulate the solvus temperature of nickel superalloys. The used deep artificial neural network shows good simulation results. Thus, this method of numerical simulation can be easily applied to such problems.
