The Study of Factors Affecting Functional Disability of the Low Back Pain Patients Using Oswestry Disability Index(ODI) Assessment Tool (Oswestry Disability Index(ODI) 평가 도구를 이용한 요통환자의 기능장애에 영향을 미치는 요인 연구)

  • Objective: The Purpose of this study is the factive and descriptive research to identify the factors affecting the functional disability of the chronic low back pain patients. We investigated the effect of ODI by the Questionnaire and questioned an 70 patients who were back pain unit at G university hospital in D city from March to May, 2007. The functional disorder in this study were based on the Oswestry Disability Index(ODI) lower back pain disability questionnaire by fairbank(1980), and these data were proceeded by using SPSS/WIN version 10.0. Result: 1. The functional disorder in accordance with age, gender, academic background, occupation, diagnosis, pain cause, pain experience, treatment duration had no significantly similar difference statistically(p>0.05). 2. The functional disorder in accordance with duration of painful generation had statistically significance(P<0.05). Conclusion: we could verify that duration of painful generation affect on the factors affecting the functional disability of the low back pain patients.

Measurement of Fluorescence Signal Strength of NO Particle Using ICCD (ICCD를 이용한 NO입자의 형광신호강도 측정)

  • In this paper, the discharge image of NO particles wire-cylinder type electrode in the discharge reactor where AC dielectric barrier type corona discharge occurred and horizontal and vertical signal intensity at each flourescence emission during discharge and the horizontal and vertical signal strength of NO particles at flourescence emission wavelength band[236[nm], 247[nm]], were measured were measured by ICCD Camera. In addition discharge images and signal intensities in accordance with discharge time were measured to figure out the discharge mechanism. It was found that the strongest horizontal and vertical signal intensity of NO particles were observed at 247[nm] band, but no big difference in the horizontal and vertical signal intensity in accordance with discharge time was seen. In particular, the phenomenon image occuring inside the discharge reactor and wavelength ware able to be carried based on the measured data.

  • Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) is one of the air interface techniques proposed for the third generation (3G) mobile communication system. WCDMA was selected because it fulfills the IMT-2000 requirements for higher data rate trans mission, support of multimedia capabilities and other flexible services due to its variable bit rates and larger bandwidth, improved capacity and coverage, efficient power control and support for advanced and improved detector structures. Performance evaluation of 3G wireless network through simulation plays an important role in the design and implementation of the actual system, aiding the wireless system designer by providing them the necessary performance conformance statistics prior to implementation. In accordance with this goal, a simulator engine was developed entirely on a MATLAB platform to emulate the behaviour of the WCDMA air interface for both the uplink and downlink in a real world fading mobile environment. This paper discuss the development of the simulator along with a brief description of its functionalities and user interface. The WCDMA air interface mode focused in this paper is in accordance to the 3GPPs frequency division duplex (FDD) mode and restricted to the physical layer description. Performance results for the selected cases for the downlink, uplink, varying mobile velocity and sampling rates are also provided.

  • 1) Lee-Su village is located in a riverside of an upper Tu-men river. Since an upper stream of Tu-men river is narrow and easy to pilot a boat, early in the past, it facilitated the form of the village near to the North Korean. 2) The form of the village is parabolic from the founding period. That is, increasing the number of houses in the time of the Cultural Revilution Campaign, and the Japanese colony, the village has transformed into the bigger size about 72 families from the small town. After the cultural revolution, due to private asset allowed in accordance with the Chinese Reform and Open Policy, the number of families in the town and the population have been decreased. As a result, 28 families live in the village currently. 3) The town which was well-ordered in the Japanese colonial period has been changed to a very disordered and agricultural town, owing to the decrease of the families A road system has been also ruined naturally in accordance with the decline of the number of the families.

  • In today's world a monitoring system for managing obesity is very important in accordance with the trend of increasing obesity all through out the world. Most of the monitoring systems available today are quite basic and it simply calculate's only the BMI figures and the weight. Because it shows only basic information, this kind of system is not quite efficiently or effective. In this paper, our research concludes that there is a scop for a more efficient BMI system and we have designated a web-based monitoring system that recommends not just weight and BMI but also detailed graphs and recommends equipments in accordance with the users BMI level.

  • In this paper, high concentration yield multi-discharge type ozonizer (MDO) of new discharge type using superposed silent discharge was designed and manufactured, MDO can be consisted with 3 kind of multi discharge type ozonizer (MDO) in accordance with power supply method that supplying power, which has 180[$^{\circ}$] phase difference, to 3 electrodes and double gap. At the moment, discharge characteristics and ozone generation characteristics of each MDO were investigated in accordance with quantity of supplied gas, the number of MDO, and the shapes of each MDO. In result, ozone generation characteristics of 17185[ppm] and 783[g/kWh] were obtained, and when ozone of 17185 [ppm] was in contact with dyeing water waste, decolorization characteristics was excellent, so it confirmed that MDO could be used as water environment improvement facility.

  • In this paper, RFICP equipment is designed and manufactured with the aid of high frequency discharge to produce uniform plasma with high density and large diameter. And $SF_6$ gas is used to investigate plasma characteristics. The electron density and temperature, potential dependence of $SF_6$ plasma in accordance with its operating pressure, gas flux and input power are measured by the method of Langmuir probe. The etching characteristics of the plasma is researched in accordance with operating pressure, gas flux, input power to apply to Silicon Wafer which is used in the field of semiconductor process. The proposed RFICP equipment, in this paper, has relatively excellent etching characteristics, and is thought to be element of oxidization-sheath etching facility in semiconductor manufacturing process.

  • This study investigates mechanical properties of the concrete using fine particle cement which is manufactured by the pulverizing process. The variable factors are 3 types of W/C such as 40, 50, and 60%, 3 types of curing temperature such as 5, 20, and $35^{\circ}C$, and 5types of the replacement of the fine particle cement such as 0, 25, 50, 75, and 100%. The unit water content, S/a and amount of the SP and AE agents to secure the slump and air content is gradually increased in accordance with amount of replacement. It can be confirmed that the delay of the setting time depending on FC content is decreased corresponding to FC content, so the effect of the acceleration to the setting time is expected. The compressive strength corresponding to FC content is proportionally increased, and the growth is confirmed about $30{\sim}40%$ at a day in 50% of FC contents. However, the increase of the strength is gradually decreased in accordance with increasing age.

  • This paper describes a study on the design of compact polymer bushing with inner control shield. In the bushing, a high electric stress occurred between field shaper and central conductor by the closely space. Also coaxial cylindrical shield has a great height along the axis to control an electric field. Consequently, all the potentials are raised axially along the field shaper and electric stress is concentrated on a part of the surface of the FRP tube near the upper end of the field shaper. In accordance, the field control can be achieved by means of the designs of such inner control shields. The floating and ring shield designs was decreased electric field concentration at critical parts of the bushing. The shield gaps is formed between field shaper and ring shield. Accordance equipotential lines extend through gaps. As a result, the resulting electrical stress are thus reduced in the range $17{\sim}23%$ in the bushing with floating and ring shield designs. Maxwell 2D simulator based on the boundary element method was also introduced in order to verify the reliability of the polymer bushing. The optimized design uses internal elements for electric stress grading at critical parts of the bushing.

Study on the Construction of Optical Hydrometer (광학식 비중계 제작에 관한 연구)

  • Optical type hydrometer has been designed and constructed utilizing the fact that the refractive index of solution is varied in accordance with its specific gravity. Optical hydrometer produces the electric singal output with reflection of light in accordance with its specific gravity. This can be applied to continuous monitoring and/or automatic control of the specific gravity of solution. U-shaped glass rod was used a transfer medium of light, and the electronic circuit which utilize phase sensitive detection technique was designed to measure accurately the intensity of light. The specific gravity of sulfuric acid was measured with this hydrometer and the results show good linearity of output signal with its specific gravity.
