이원배치법을 이용한 공기압 실린더의 가속수명시험에 관한 연구 (Research on accelerated life test of pneumatic cylinder using two-way factorial design)

  • In this study, we researched how to estimate life-stress relationship and acceleration factor through performing accelerated life test and analyzing it. The purpose of this study is to predict life of pneumatic cylinder within short time which is widely used in automation manufacturing line. In design of accelerated life test, we selected operating pressure and load that have the most influence on main failure mode of pneumatic cylinder as accelerated factor. We used two-way factorial design for arranging of test condition to accelerated factor and accelerated level.

독립현가형 AWD 차량의 구동축 가속 수명 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Accelerated Life Evaluation of Drive Shaft for Independent Suspension type AWD Vehicle)

  • This paper proposes an accelerated life evaluation of drive shaft. The life test of drive shaft for independent suspension type AWD vehicle should be performed by use of the least test sample because many number of samples can't be used for the test because of its mass capacity and high price. We calculated the no failure test time by application of no failure test concept, and the already performed test data for drive shaft are applied for some kinds of reliability coefficients which are needed for calculation of life test time. And, for analysis of real driving condition of vehicle, the load spectrum is prepared using the needed road condition and vehicle data. The inverse power model is used for accelerated life test. The equivalent torque of load spectrum is achieved by use of Miner's Rule, and then the final accelerating condition is determined by decision of the accelerated test torque. This paper shows that the accelerated life test results corresponds with the target life and the proposed life test method can be very well applied to no failure life test for mass capacity machinery components.

  • Most of the accelerated life tests deal with tests that use only one accelerating variable and no other explanatory variables. Frequently, however, there is a test to use more than one accelerating or other experimental variables, such as, for examples, a test of capacitors at higher than usual conditions of temperature and voltage, a test of circuit boards at higher than usual conditions of temperature, humidity and voltage. A accelerated life test is extended to M-level stress accelerated life test with k-stress variables. The optimal design for Weibull distribution is studied with k-stress variables.

Corrosion Performance of Cu Bonded Grounding-Electrode by Accelerated Corrosion Test

  • Natural degradation of grounding-electrode in soil environment should be monitored for several decades to predict the lifetime of the grounding electrode for efficient application and management. However, long-term studies for such electrodes have many practical limitations. The conventional accelerated corrosion test is unsuitable for such studies because simulated soil corrosion process cannot represent the actual soil environment. A preliminary experiment of accelerated corrosion test was conducted using existing test standards. The accelerated corrosion test that reflects the actual soil environment has been developed to evaluate corrosion performances of grounding-electrodes in a short period. Several test conditions with different chamber temperatures and salt spray were used to imitate actual field conditions based on ASTM B162, ASTM B117, and ISO 14993 standards. Accelerated degradation specimens of copper-bonded electrodes were made by the facile method and their corrosion performances were investigated. Their corrosion rates were calculated to $0.042{\mu}m/day$, $0.316{\mu}m/day$, and $0.11{\mu}m/day$, respectively. These results indicate that accelerated deterioration of grounding materials can be determined in a short period by using cyclic test condition with salt spray temperature of $50^{\circ}C$.

  • The concrete structures possessing good structural integrity can face durability problems due to deteriorations of concrete structures under various environmental conditions. The durability problems weaken the structural integrity in the long run. Especially, the excessive use of sea sand causes serious reinforcement corrosion and carbonation in concrete structures. An accelerated test is often used to predict deterioration as a qualitative measure, but without long term exposure test results or understanding of the relationship between the accelerated test and the long term exposure test, the accelerated test result alone can not be used effectively as a quantitative measure. In this paper, a methodology is proposed to predict the long term deteriorations, based on the result of the short-term accelerated test, of concrete containing different contents of chloride ions. Then, the correlation between two results on the steel corrosion ratio and the carbonation depth is analyzed for concrete with different chloride contents.

  • In order to assess the long-tenn reliability of polymer insulators for distribution power systems, we have developed the accelerated aging test method which can simulate the operation conditions. In this study, 3000 hours aging test for 4 kinds of polymer insulators has been completed by the developed accelerated aging test. After 3000 hours aging test, visual inspection and electrical tests were carried for identifying a change of characteristics. Some specimens showed the surface erosion and the manufacturing defect. In the electrical tests, the wet flashover voltage was significant1y decreased by the accelerated aging test. In comparison with the field-aged polymer insulators, it can be concluded that the developed test method can evaluate the long-tenn reliability within short time and screen the manufacturing defect.

  • As an alternative to traditional life testing, degradation tests can be effective in assessing product reliability when measurements of degradation leading to failure can be observed. This article presents an accelerated degradation testing for vacuum fluorescent displays (VFDs). The accelerated degradation model is based on Arrhenius-lifetime relationship for cathode temperatures. We compare the results between accelerated degradation test and test at normal use condition. Accelerated degradation test for display devices is observed as an efficient method to warrantee product reliability to customers, as well as a tool to save time and costs.

  • Accelerated life test models and procedure are developed to assess the reliability of Door switch. The main function of door switch is to operate bulb lamp and fan motor. The accelerated life test method and test equipments are developed using the relationship between stresses and life characteristics of the products. Using the developed accelerated life test method, the parameters of the ALT model and life time distribution are estimated and the reliability of the Door S/W at use condition if assessed. The proposed accelerated life test method and procedure may be extended and applied to testing similar kinds of products to reduce test time and costs of the tests remarkably.

  • 본 논문은 열차제어시스템의 하부구성요소단위 예측신뢰도를 가속스트레스시험을 통해 입증하기 위한 모델링을 연구한다. 예측신뢰도의 입증을 위해서는 전체시스템단위 시운전과 하부구성요소단위 가속수명시험 및 가속스트레스 시험을 통한 방법이 있으며, 본 논문에서는 하부구성요소단위로 정해진 시간동안 가속된 스트레스를 주입하여 장치의 생존여부에 따라 예측신뢰도를 입증하는 가속스트레스 시험을 위한 열차제어시스템의 모델링을 연구하였다. 전자부품으로 구성된 열차제어시스템은 사용온도에 따라 신뢰도가 급격하게 변화한다는 점에 착안하여 아레니우스 방정식 및 전자부품 활성화에너지를 고려하였으며, 가중평균을 사용한 신뢰성시험 모델링을 제시하여 열차제어시스템 가속스트레스시험의 시험시간을 산출하였다.

  • Almost all accelerated life tests assume that no basic failure mechanism changes within the test stresses. But accelerated life test, considering failure mechanism changes, is needed since failure mechanism changes when accelerating beyond the used stress. This paper studies the analysis when the failure mechanism changes within the test stresses. The piecewise linear regression, which the join point of two lines is estimated, is applied In particular, two accelerated life tests, with and without a change in failure mechanism are examined.
