  • Underground structures without the expansion joint in the settled intervals, the underground structures may suffer from structural crack and the water leakage thereby resulting in the occurance of the efflorescence. In this study, the performance of new expansion joint used in underground structures were verified. The spacing of expansion joint was defined by the finite element analysis. Expansion length, resistance and waterproofing performance of developed expansion joint were confirmed by experiment.

  • This paper designed 3D animation in consideration of young children's characteristics to stimulate their interest and to be more understandable to them. It was also confirmed that, using the 3D animation software, young children came to recognize the problem of environment pollution and developed desirable attitude and behavior fur protecting the environment. Furthermore, this paper suggested the derection of systematic environmental education at kindergartens and other early childhood education institutions using the developed 3D animation software as a leaching material.

  • The cluster project in Korea has restructured to develop the cluster into a core engine for the pan-regional development policy and connect industrial parks across the country. Korean government has made great efforts to attract research institutes, support organizations and universities in industrial parks and enhance growth potential through a close cooperation network. Especially A mini-cluster is an integrated group joined by companies, universities and research institutes and support organizations. It has been developing business opportunities through industry-academia-research cooperation and providing assistance through network activities. Mini clusters have implemented a variety of network activities. This paper proposed three strategies to accomplish self-sustainable growth of mini-clusters. First of all, mini-cluster needs to provide useful contents that can attract the participation of members. Then it is necessary to promote mini-cluster initiative. Finally, mini-clusters need to make up a cooperative culture.

  • The Government R&D budget for 2019 exceeded 20 trillion won in order to develop future growth market such as basic research investment and creation of growth engine. As such, the importance of R&D investment is increasing, and various schemes for enforcing efficient and transparent business expenses are being expanded. However, research expenses (Charge ratio) such as fraudulent execution of funds are continuously being generated, and a system of imposition of sanctions is being introduced. In this paper, the legal grounds of sanctions, comparative review of laws and regulations between the ministries, and the criteria of imposition (imputation) were analyzed. In addition, since the amendment of the standard for imposing the intergovernmental surcharges, a single standard has been applied, and the transition process of the surcharging system has been reviewed. As a result of the data analysis, it was found that they focused on micro - utility activities and suggested new policy measures corresponding to them. • Two-dimensional displacements are obtained from the sandwiched patterns, which superpose two linearly-periodic patterns orthogonally, respectively. The transparent top pattern is identified by deflection of the laser beam due to a difference of refractivity and the opaque bottom pattern is identified by deviation of the beam intensity due to a difference of reflectance. In the sample setup, the top pattern made up of build-up film is manufactured by UV laser machining and the bottom pattern is manufactured by ultra-precision trench machining and deposition for aluminum plate. The proposed decoding method is verified experimentally using the $10{\mu}m$ equally spaced sample patterns and the devised optical system. The Korea Academia-Industrial cooperation Society.

  • This paper aims to study the effect of academia-industrial cooperation on the technical innovation of small and medium-sized companies. A survey was conducted on about 1,100 businesses located in the Sihwa-Banwol industrial estate to analyze the consequence of three factors of academia-industrial cooperation. the joint use of equipments, technological support of universities to businesses, and cooperative technological development through technical guidance-on entrepreneurial capability and their knowledge-absorption ability, and ultimately on their technological innovation,. The validity of the survey result was tested through the Structural Equation Model. On the basis of the comparison between companies which have participated in academy-industry cooperation and companies which have not, this paper suggests that venture businesses should take advantage of the cooperation with universities to boost their competitiveness. The analysis of the three individual factors of the academy-industry cooperation based on the Structural Equation Model shows that all of them have remarkable influence on entrepreneurial capability, but that they don't have as much impact on businesses' knowledge absorption ability. However, the outcome of technological innovation of businesses is primarily influenced by entrepreneurial capability rather than their knowledge absorption ability. The survey also shows that the three factors of the cooperation have an equal impact on the competitiveness of companies regardless of their business type or their products' growth stages. As the companies involved in academy industry cooperation outweigh other businesses, in terms of technological innovation, the numbers of new product development, and the numbers of their process improvement cases, this paper argues that new strategies should be taken for the businesses to fully take advantage of academy-industry cooperation.

  • Patents that are research results from industry-university cooperation (IUC) are a source of innovation, and play an important role in economic growth, such as technology transfer and commercialization. For this reason, there are many efforts to revitalize IUC, but in general, company patents are achievements that can be commercialized, rather than research achievements, so not all patents are used for business, even after their creation as the outcome of IUC. Therefore, this research supports the design of measures in which IUC can ultimately be linked to successful utilization of patents by identifying the purposes of IUC, even after it has been successfully promoted, and patents have been filed as a result. To this end, first, the patents registered for industry-academia cooperation in the United States are collected, and second, a predictive model is designed, with unexpired and expired patents predicted using machine learning techniques. The final identified patents are intended to derive available factors in terms of marketability and technicality. This study is expected to help predict the utilization of unexpired and expired patents, and is expected to contribute to setting goals for research results from technical cooperation between corporate and university officials planning early IUC.
