IRFP-tree(Intersection Rule Based FP-tree): 메모리 효율성을 향상시키기 위해 교집합 규칙 기반의 패러다임을 적용한 FP-tree (IRFP-tree: Intersection Rule Based FP-tree)

  • 대용량 데이터베이스의 빈도패턴 분석을 위해 기존의 Apriori 방식의 단점을 보완할 수 있는 새로운 트리 기반의 빈도 패턴 분석 알고리즘이 최근 다양하게 연구되고 있다. 그 중 FP-tree는 이러한 빈도 패턴을 분석하기 위해 빈도 패턴을 표현하는 트리 구조로 단 두 번의 전체 데이터베이스 스캔을 통해 빠르게 트리를 구성할 수 있으며 FP-grwoth를 통해 빈도 패턴을 분석할 수 있다. 이처럼 빈도 패턴 트리의 노드 수는 트리 자체의 메모리 할당량과도 연관이 있지만 그 후 growth의 메모리 자원 소비 및 처리 속도에도 영향을 미치게 된다. 따라서 빈도 패턴 트리의 노드 수의 감소는 트리 자체뿐만 아니라 빈도 패턴 분석에 있어서도 매우 중요하다. 하지만 FP-tree는 전체 아이템 수 라는 고정된 기준 문제로 인해 충분한 노드 수의 압축률을 갖지 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 FP-tree의 문제를 보완하여 좀 더 노드 수를 감소시킬 수 있도록 교집합 규칙이라는 새로운 패러다임을 적용한 빈도 패턴 트리인 IRFP-tree를 제시하고 실험을 통해 그 성능에 대해 증명하였다.

  • 대다수의 흙막이 공사 계측현장에서 적용하고 있는 절대치 관리방법은 관리기준치와 계측결과를 절대 비교함으로서 공사현장의 안전성을 평가하는 기법이다. 따라서, 안전성 평가의 판단기준이 되는 관리기준치는 평가결과에 직접적으로 영향을 미치게 된다. 즉 아무리 최적의 계측시스템이 적용된 현장이라고 하더라도 관리기준치가 타당하지 않으면, 공사현장의 안전성을 정확히 판단할 수 없으므로 관리기준치의 선정은 매우 중요하다. 그러나 실질적으로 현장 기술자 등은 기존 절대치관리기준치에 대한 신뢰성이 매우 낮으며 관리기준치의 수정보완의 필요성을 인식하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 계측관리기준치의 수정보완 필요성에 대한 조사결과를 바탕으로 하여 흙막이 구조물의 거동 중 가장 기본이 되며 중요한 흙막이 벽체의 변위에 대한 계측결과를 토대로 확률론적 이론에 의해 관리기준치를 보다 적절하게 설정하여 적용하는 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구에서는 계측관리기법 중 시공 전에 설정된 관리기준치와 시공 시 측정된 설측치를 비교 검토하여 그 시점에서 공사의 안전성을 확인하는 방법인 절대치관리방법을 적용하여 관리기준치를 수정하였다.

AHP를 이용한 의복평가기준의 우선순위 분석 (An Analysis on Priority of Clothing Evaluative Criteria using AHP)

  • This study aimed to develop priorities alternatives based on relative rather than absolute assignments on clothing evaluative criteria. The relative comparison approach includes much redundancy and is thus less sensitive to judgemental errors common to techniques using absolute assignments. By deriving evaluative criteria for consumers in choosing clothing, and considering their relative important or value in the priority of evaluation elements. When the consumer selects clothing, it requires multi-criteria decision making exercise and needs to make trade-offs between different alternatives. With an application of the AHP's hierarchical structuring and pair-wise comparisons, this study will determine the weight and priorities of evaluation factor in clothing evaluative criteria in choosing cloth, which will eventually lead to improve management. Items for the setting priority were decided as 'symbol', 'practicality', 'economy', 'vogue', and 'aesthetic' by council. The data for this research were collected from respondents of 108 females in Busan. Data were analyzed by frequency and AHP. As the results, 'economy' was decided as a most important item. And 'a fashionable color' evaluated as that of first priority in the totality evaluation elements.

AHP를 이용한 철도종사자의 안전업무 수행도 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Performance Evaluation about Safety Work of Railway Employees using AHP)

  • It is known that human factors account for 80 percent of all railway accidents. To reduce human errors must be the most efficient shortcut to railway safety. For public transportation employees like railway, the more delicate safety management should be executed in individual level. However, there are rarely efforts to improve safety performance of workers who are the subject operating the railway system. This paper develops a hierarchy model to evaluate the human safety performance in railway industry. To evaluate the model, AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) methodology is adopted. The hierarchy model is composed of four levels which are objective, two criteria, specific factors of criteria, and rating scales. In addition, since employees for evaluation are over 10, the pairwise comparisons for rating scales are carried out by the absolute measurement. We explore the applicability of AHP to the performance evaluation of railway safety workers by an example and also investigate the changes of alternatives that are railway employees according to the changes of human characteristic which is one of criteria.

절대범주와 상대범주 (Absolute categories and relative categories)

  • The purpose of this paper is to provide two levels of conceptualization of a category such as an absolute category in semantic level and a relative category in pragmatic level on the basis of Aristotelian category theory and prototype category theory. I do not intend to criticize classical category theory and prototype category theory but to show that these two types of category are applied to the different world. Aristotelian categorization is an absolute category because it is based on the possible world called the meta-world and it has an absolute truth value. The members of an absolute category is presented as a set. There is a clear boundary between members and non-members because they are distinguished by the absolute criteria An absolute category is semantic conceptualization. This absolute category is changed into a relative category when it is applied in the real world. A relative category which corresponds to a prototype category is based on the real world called the object world and it has a relative truth value. Here individuals are categorized by the cognition and perception of human beings. A relative category is pragmatic conceptualization. In conclusion, while classical categories which are called absolute categories represent sentence meaning, prototype categories which are called relative categories represent utterance meaning.

Alternative robust estimation methods for parameters of Gumbel distribution: an application to wind speed data with outliers

  • An accurate determination of wind speed distribution is the basis for an evaluation of the wind energy potential required to design a wind turbine, so it is important to estimate unknown parameters of wind speed distribution. In this paper, Gumbel distribution is used in modelling wind speed data, and alternative robust estimation methods to estimate its parameters are considered. The methodologies used to obtain the estimators of the parameters are least absolute deviation, weighted least absolute deviation, median/MAD and least median of squares. The performances of the estimators are compared with traditional estimation methods (i.e., maximum likelihood and least squares) according to bias, mean square deviation and total mean square deviation criteria using a Monte-Carlo simulation study for the data with and without outliers. The simulation results show that least median of squares and median/MAD estimators are more efficient than others for data with outliers in many cases. However, median/MAD estimator is not consistent for location parameter of Gumbel distribution in all cases. In real data application, it is firstly demonstrated that Gumbel distribution fits the daily mean wind speed data well and is also better one to model the data than Weibull distribution with respect to the root mean square error and coefficient of determination criteria. Next, the wind data modified by outliers is analysed to show the performance of the proposed estimators by using numerical and graphical methods.

스케일 텔레 로보틱스 시스템에 적용된 Routh-Hurwitz와 절대 안정도 기준의 비교 (Comparison of Routh-Hurwitz and Absolute Stability Criteria in Application to Scaled Telerobotics Systems)

  • 본 논문에서는 스케일 텔레 로보틱스 시스템에 Routh-Hurwitz와 Llewellyn의 절대 안정도 기준의 적용에 관한 비교 연구 결과를 보인다. 텔레 로보틱스 시스템의 동적 방정식이 주어지고, 시스템의 전달함수는 더 나은 안정도 해석을 얻게 된다. 제어기 이득의 안정적인 마진은 두 가지의 안정도 해석 방법을 통하여 얻을 수 있으며, 본 논문에서 그 결과의 차이를 밝히고 설명했다. 본 논문은 안정도 분석결과를 수치 예제를 통해 증명하는 것으로 결론을 도출한다.

Stability Analysis of Soil Oribatid Mite Communities (Acari: Oribatida from Namsan and Kwangreung Deciduous Forests, Korea

  • One of the most important justifications of conservation of ecosystem and biodiversity is that diversity begets stability. Impact of biodiversity on community and ecosystem function has long been debated in science. Here we report the stability analysis of soil oribatid mite communities from environmentally stressed habitat(Namsan) and relatively well preserved habitat (Kwangreung) with the perspective of consistency as a primary criteria of stability. Stability of oribatid mite communities were evaluated with turnover rate, constancy analysis, b diversity index, and absolute abundance, abundance ranking, and the presence or absence of species over time. Out of 6 criteria, three consented that oribatid community from Kwangreung was more stable than that from Namsan. Those are turnover rate in litter layer, constancy analysis, and absolute abundance. Feasibility of stability analysis using oribatid mites was further discussed, rendering further study.

  • In this paper, we propose new simple and efficient stopping criteria for W-CDMA turbo decoding. The new criteria are based on the sum of logarithm of absolute extrinsic information values and the count of one-estimations calculated after each component decoder. The calculation of the proposed criteria can be made simpler by summing one of ten values without any penalty. This Proposed method can be implemented with negligible overhead and no extra memory. Simulation results on W-CDMA standard shows that the number of iterations required is reduced compared to the existing stopping criteria without degrading the BER performance. Reduced iterations and simple operations make the proposed criteria desirable for low-power turbo decoder.

ABSOLUTE IRREDUCIBILITY OF BIVARIATE POLYNOMIALS VIA POLYTOPE METHOD

  • For any field F, a polynomial f $\in$ F[$x_1,x_2,{\ldots},x_k$] can be associated with a polytope, called its Newton polytope. If the polynomial f has integrally indecomposable Newton polytope, in the sense of Minkowski sum, then it is absolutely irreducible over F, i.e., irreducible over every algebraic extension of F. We present some results giving new integrally indecomposable classes of polygons. Consequently, we have some criteria giving many types of absolutely irreducible bivariate polynomials over arbitrary fields.
