한국인의 치경부마모증 경험도에 관한 조사연구

  • In order to collect some necessary data to promote correcting the toothbrushing technic on the Korean public, the author had examined the number of present teeth on which had cervical abrasion and the most basic home dental care in 2,000 Korean male and female adults from 19 to 52 years in the age. Then, the cervical abrasion experience rate and the cervical abrasion experience teeth rate were calculated and evaluated. The obtained results were as follows: 1. Cervical abrasion experience rate was 32.45% 2. Cervical abrasion experience rate was gradually increased by ageing. 3. Cervical abrasion experience rate in male adults was higher than that in female adults. 4. Cervical abrasion experience rate in the lower jaw was higher than that in the upper jaw. 5. Cervical abrasion experience rate of the teeth at the right side was higher than that of the teeth at the left side. 6. Cervical abrasion experience teeth rate was 3.82%. 7. Cervical abrasion experience rate was highest on the first bicuspid, and followed in the sequence of the second bicuspid, canine, first molar, incisors, and 2nd and 3rd molars.

Cervical abrasion experience rate was gradually increased by aging. 4. In Korean adults, the further detail investigations into the cervical abrasion were required.

Abrasion Behaviors of NR/BR Compounds Using Laboratory Abrasion Tester

  • The abrasion behaviors of NR/BR blend vulcanizates were investigated using NR/BR = 100/0, 80/20, and 60/40 compounds. The abrasion test was performed using a laboratory abrasion tester (LAT) at slip angles of 1° and 7°. The size distributions of the wear particles and the abrasion rates were examined according to the rubber compositions and slip angles. The most abundant wear particles at the slip angle of 1° were sizes above 1,000 ㎛, irrespective of the rubber composition. The most abundant wear particles at 7° slip angle had sizes in the range of 212-500 ㎛, except for the NR = 100 sample. The wear particle size distribution shifted to a smaller size as the slip angle and BR content increased. The abrasion rate at 7° was much larger than that at 1° slip angle. Furthermore, the abrasion rate was notably increased by adding BR to NR.

  • Abrasion rate of coarse aggregates is an important factor to determine aggregates quality. Allowable limit of abrasion rate of coarse aggregates for concrete is 40% according to K.S. Strength and durability test of concrete with 19 efferent aggregates were made. From this test, it was found that allowable limit of abrasion rate of aggregates can be increased to 43%.

  • The authors, to collect some necessary data to promote correcting the toothbrushing method, the most basic home dental care, and to arrest the attention to the dentifrices in Korea, observed and evaluated the cervical abrasion experience rate in 8,000 Korean male and female adults from 19 to 52 years in the age, which had been extracted by the stratified random sampling method. The obtained results were as follows; 1. Cervical abrasion experience rate was 18.6% in Korean adults. 2. Cervical abrasion experience rate in male adults was higher than that in female adults. 3. Cervical abrasion experience rate was gradually increased by ageing. 4. It seemed the cervical abrasion experience rates in the adults in Honam and Youngnam district to be higher than those in the other districts. 5. In Korean adults, the further detail inveatigations into the cervical abrasion were required.

일부 산업장 근로자의 치경부마모증에 관한 연구 (A study on the cervical abrasion in some industrial workers)

  • Objectives : This study was carried out to investigate stepwise regression analysis on cervical abrasion & general characteristics, subjective oral health perception, habit related to oral health, and oral symptom. Methods : The study subjects were 2,158 workers in 23 industrial work places located in Gumi-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province from June 1 to July 1, 2012. As a result, the following conclusions were obtained. Results : 1. The cervical abrasion rate was high in men and older age group. 2. The cervical abrasion rate was high in a case of having not received scaling for the past one year. 3. The cervical abrasion rate was high in frequent tooth brushing. 4. The cervical abrasion rate was high in group having no bleeding in tooth and the gum. 5. The cervical abrasion rate was high in group having the cold symptom in teeth. 6. Excluding gum pain and bleeding, factors affecting tooth abrasion were gender, age, scaling over the past year, frequency of brushing a day and tooth sensitivity when cold food was ingested. 7. Gender and tooth sensitivity turned out to have negative(-) effect. age, scaling over the past year and frequency of brushing a day turned out to have positive(+) effect. Conclusions : Through this study, the best prevention method of cervical abrason is effective tooth brushing education and regular dental check up.

퇴적물 입자의 점하중강도지수와 마식율의 관계에 대한 연구 (A Study on Relationship between Point Load Strength Index and Abrasion Rate of Sediment Particle)

  • 하천 퇴적물질의 마식은 하상과의 충돌과 퇴적물질 입자간의 충돌에 의하여 발생한다. 하천 퇴적물질의 물리적 강도는 마식에 대한 저항의 정도를 나타내는 것으로 정의할 수 있으나, 이에 대한 실증적인 연구는 큰 진전을 보이지 못해왔다. 본 연구에서는 퇴적물질의 마식에 영향을 미치는 요소들(퇴적물질의 물리적강도, 퇴적물질의 크기, 퇴적물질의 양등)의 관계를 파악하기 위해서 마식기를 이용한 물리적 실험을 실시하였으며, 특히 퇴적물질의 물리적 강도가 마식율에 미치는 영향을 분석하는데 강조점을 두고 있다. 이 실험에서는 266개의 퇴적물을 이용했으며, 퇴적물질의 양과 퇴적물질의 평균 무게에 따라 11개의 소집단으로 나눠 실험하였다. 각 실험은 1시간 단위로 이루어 졌으며 퇴적물질은 최장 8시간 동안 마식되었다. 마식율은 각 실험단계마다 퇴적물질 입자 무게의 변동으로 측정하였으며, 총 2,128번의 측정이 이루어졌다. 퇴적물질의 물리적 강도는 시험이 종료한 뒤에 파괴하중을 측정하여 계산한 점 하중강도지수를 통해 측정하였다. 퇴적물질의 점하중강도지수는 마식율과 음의 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났으나, 두 변수들 간의 회귀식의 설명율($R^2$)은 0.22로 나타났다. 퇴적물질의 전반적인 마식은 실험 초기에는 빠르게 진행되지만, 풍화각이 제거된 뒤에는 마식율이 급감하는 경향을 보여주고 있다. 풍화각을 제거하는 초기 단계에는 퇴적물질의 물리적 강도와 마식율의 관계가 미약하지만 이후로 점점 설명율이 상승한다. 이 실험 결과에 의하면 퇴적물질의 물리적 강도는 마식율의 결정적인 설명변수가 아닐 수 있으며, 물리적 속성 이외에도 퇴적물질의 운반조건 등이 마식율에 큰 영향을 주는 것으로 판단된다.

The Mechanical Properties and Abrasion Behavior of Warp Knitted Fabrics for Footwear

  • The abrasion behavior of three kinds of warp knitted fabrics, which are normally used for upper sole of footwear, was evaluated. We measured the changes of mechanical and structural properties of each sample as abrasion cycle increased. Each sample showed similar trends in compression and surface properties but there were significant differences in abrasion rate among the samples. The mechanical properties showed remarkable differences with directions. The frictional coefficient (MIU) of fabric surface increased at the beginning of abrasion and decreased as abrasion cycles increased. The weight and thickness of the fabric linearly decreased with abrasion cycles. The surface roughness (SMD) and the compressional resilience (RC) decreased as abrasion cycles increased while compressional energy (WC) increased.

방조제 해측피복석의 마모특성분석 -새만금방조제를 중심으로- (Abrasion Characteristics of Seaside Armor Stones of Seadike -Focused on Saemangeum Seadike-)

  • The results of Saemangeum seadike field inspection and material testing of armor stones in order to analyze causes of abrasion according to material characteristics of seaside armor stones in Saemangeum seadike are in the following: 1. The armor stones in Saemangeum seadike have been constructed by using internal stones (mainly, sinsi stones) and external stones, which had less strength (77.3 %) and more abrasion rate (133.3 %) compared with sinsi stones. 2. The compressive strength and abrasion rate were compared between ordinary wave section and high wave section for the purpose of analyzing the influence of waves. In compressive strength, sinsi stones were 4.0 % stronger and external stones were 0.6 % stronger in ordinary wave section than those of high wave section in average. In the case of abrasion rate, sinsi stones were 3.0 % higher and external stones were 8.2 % higher in the high wave section than those in the ordinary section. 3. The result of comparing compressive strength according to a zone is that the compressive strength in the Intertidal area was less strong in most of the zones. 4. Considering that deviated stones are moving around over the surface of armor stones in situ, it is important to compare material characteristics. So the comparison test about this factor showed that deviated sinsi stones were stronger than armor stones in situ in terms of compressive strength and resistance to abrasion. Based on these results, abraded armor stones may have resulted from their durability. Therefore it is assumed that armor stones are likely to be abraded when deviated stones which are more durable are moving around over armor stones which are less durable.

불화나트륨 이온도포와 Nd:YAG laser 조사가 치근면 내마모성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of NaF iontophoresis and Nd:YAG laser irradiation on the abrasion-resistance of root surface)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the abrasion-resistance of root surface after NaF iontophoresis, Nd:YAG laser irradiation and combined treatment 50 anterior teeth with flat interproximal root surface that had been extracted due to periodontal destruction were selected. All teeth were treated by the same procedure as conventional periodontal root treatment, such as scaling and root planing, root conditioning with tetracycline HCI(lOOmg/ml, 5min). The pre-treatment weight of each tooth was measured by a dial scale(SHIMADEU Co, LIBROR EB-220HU, capacity 220.000 g, Japan). All teeth were divided into 5 groups as follows: Nd:YAG laser irradiation(group 1, 1 W, 100 mJ, 10Hz, fiberoptic-root surface distance=5mm, $10\;sec.{\times}6times$, EL.EN.EN060, Italy): NaF iontophoresis(group 2, $150{\mu}A$, 4 min}: Nd:YAG laser irradiation following NaF iontophoresis(group 3): NaF iontophoresis following Nd:YAG laser irradiation(group 4): No treatment(control group). Electric toothbrushing (Oral-B, Brown Co, Germany) was conducted during 1 hour($lO\;min.{\times}6\;times$). Subsequently post-treatment weight was remeasured by the same method as pre-treatment weight measurement. The difference of abrasion rate among all groups was statistically analyzed by ANOVA(SAS program). Following results were obtained: 1. The abrasion rate was significantly lower in Nd:YAG laser irradiation group than NaF iontophoresis group(p < 0.001). 2. The abrasion rate was significantly lower in combined groups of Nd:YAG laser irradiation and NaF iontophoresis than either Nd:YAG laser irradiation group or NaF iontophoresis group(p < 0.001). 3. There was no significant difference in abrasion rate according to application order in the combined groups(p > 0.05). 4. The abrasion rate was significantly lower in all experimental groups than control group(p < 0.001). The results suggest that combined treatment of Nd:YAG laser irradiation and NaF iontophoresis on exposed root surface after periodontal therapy can enhance the abrasion-resistance of root surface and may inhibit the root caries development.
