Hard X-ray has been widely used in medical and industrial fields because it can be applied to observe the inside of a sample. Computed tomography provides sectional images of the sample through the reconstruction of the projection images. The quality of sectional images strongly depends on that of projection images. Ring artifact appeared on the seconal image can be made by the abnormal pixels of the detector used. In this study, we examine the ring artifact ratio in the circle phantom as a function of detection error of the detector used in computed tomography. The ring artifact increased with the increment of detection error under parallel and fan beam geometries and strongly increased near the center of rotation. The corrections, dead pixel and flat field corrections, for the images taken with the detector are required before the image reconstruction process to reduce the ring artifact in the computed tomography.
In clinical neurology various different electrophysiological tests are widely used to demonstrate the unsuspected malfunctioning in the nervous system and to monitor over time the clinical status of patients. In addition clinical neurologists and neurosurgeons take advantage of the intraoperative monitorings to increase the quality of neurosurgical operations in the posterior fossa, in the spinal cord, or in visual pathways. In the field of movement disorders, elecrophysiolgical tests provide neurologists with making accurate differential diagnoses with useful therapeutic stratergies as well as with investigating the pathophysiological machanisms. By using the electromyographic tests it could be possible for us to evaluate the types of blephalospasm, the extent of hemifacial spasm, the level of myoclonus, and the prime muscles of torticollis etc. Sometimes the myographic guidance may be critical for choosing the exact injecting site of botulinum toxin. These several decades various electroencephalographic and evoked potential tests has been utilized in the electrophysiological laboratories to understand the basic pathophysiology of myoclonus, spasticity and other central motor dysfunctions. It could be one of the breakthroughs in the area of behavorial neurology that the brain function can be mapped by the spontaneous or evoked electrical activities of nervous system since the movement related potentials (MRPs) had been studies for several decades. Various reflex tests such as masseter reflex, blink reflex, click evoked vestibulocollic reflex, facial reflex, stretch reflex, flexor reflex, H-reflex, H-reflex recovery curve, vestibular inhibition of H-reflex, reciprocal inhibition, recurrent or Renshaw reflex, Ib inhibition, cutaneous reflex have been also used to understand normal or abnormal physiology in movement disorders. Polysomnography, posturography and gait studies are also applied in clinical neurology in association with with movement disorders which are useful in deciding the treatment regimen.

In clinical diagnosis, it's well known that the abnormal level of uric acid (UA) in human body is implicated in diverse human diseases, for instance, chronic heart failure, gouty arthritis, diabetes, and so on. As a primary method, an isotope dilution mass spectrometry (IDMS) has been used to obtain the accurate quantity of UA in blood or serum and also develop the certificated reference material (CRM) so as to provide a SI-traceability to clinical laboratories. Due to the low solubility of UA in water, an ammonium hydroxide ($NH_4OH$) has been considered as a promising solvent to increase the solubility of UA that enables the preparation of both UA and its isotope standard solution for next IDMS-based absolute quantification. But, because of using this $NH_4OH$ solvent, it gives rise to the unwanted degradation of UA. In this study, we sought to optimize condition for the stability of UA in $NH_4OH$ solution by varying the mole ratios of UA to $NH_4OH$, followed by ID-LC-MRM analysis. In addition, we also inspected minutely the effect of the storage temperatures. Additionally, we also performed the quantitative analysis of UA in the KRISS serum certificated reference material (CRM, 111-01-02A) with diverse mixing ratios of UA to $NH_4OH$ and then compared those values to its certification value. Based on our experiments, adjusting the mole ratio of 1/2 ($UA/NH_4OH$) with the storage temperature of $-20^{\circ}C$ is an effective way to secure both the solubility and stability of UA in $NH_4OH$ solution for next IDMS-based quantification of UA in serum.

Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) is currently the most widely used arc welding processes in the industry because of its high metal deposition rate, flexibility and low cost. It is attractive for high-productivity manufacturing applications and is well suited to automatic or robotic welding. Welding voltage and current have a significant impact on the weld bead. However, welding voltage and current are changed variously according to welding condition and user environment, and prediction is impossible. To determine the welding conditions, the welding current and voltage are applied to the appropriate data analysis techniques. In this paper, we used the moving average filter to the welding voltage and current data, and normal and abnormal welding waves were distinguished.
YoungChu NonYong(靈樞 論勇)seems to be named as such by its explanation in detail about the brave man who can and the coward who cannot stand pain respectively. In the first chapter, it is considered that the factors of diseases are dependent upon the state of skin and flash. In the second chapter, it is put about the problem of standing pain and not. In the third chapter, about the causes of resulting in brave or unbrave man. And in the fourth chapter, about drunken frenzy(酒悖). More concretely speaking, in the first chapter, it is explained that the factors of pathogenesis are related closely with the state of skin and flash, so to speak, though the outer factors which can arouse diseases should exist, the sensitivity of skin and flash which are the first defense tissue in human body, is more important factor. Undoubtedly, the environmental factors existing in physical nature which surrounds human life, have influenced upon human health, especially in ancient times. But, this chapter exhibits some reflections that ultimately the inner conditions of human body decide the attack of diseases. However, this chapter may have some corruptions for it reveals the contents which are not fit with the headline. In the second chapter, it is written that the sensitivity to pain is not only dependent upon the character of bravery but also upon the thickness of skin, the strength of flesh and the speed of response. In this we evidence that the ancient people had the idea that human pain-feeling is more dependent upon the degree of development of sensory neuron of physical body than one's character of bravery. In the third chapter, ti is described that the differences of physical development mainly influence the differences of the degree of mental bravery. In the fourth chapter, the drunken frenzy is explained. The implication is that as civilization has been growing, the drinking culture has made both in dividual and social health affair. The alcohol has the function of pleasing mind improving the quality of human life but it can also destroy both human body and mind when abused. About the harms like this, this part wams by the examples of drunken man's abnormal behaviors.
Efforts to understand and develop reasonable analysis methods for the uncertainty of ground have been made since the 20th century, and the concept of safety factor has been used. However, this concept has limitation in measuring the relative reliability of ground structures because the representative values of the actually used factors have uncertainty. Nevertheless, there is no method to completely remove uncertainty. In most cases, the ground investigation results in Korea are not enough for applying such statistical methods. Furthermore, performing a design without accurate investigation of consolidation state even though consolidation characteristics such as settlement and consolidation velocity vary greatly by the consolidation history can lead to many problems. Therefore, in this paper, as part of the effort to reduce the uncertainty of design around over consolidation ratio among the consolidation factors, the consolidation state was assessed on the basis of the results of high-quality laboratory tests that were performed in Gwangyang and Busan in the southern coast of Korea. Furthermore, consolidation characteristics such as over consolidation ratio by depth were proposed for different regions through statistical processes such as the test of normality and the removal of abnormal values to reduce the uncertainty of design parameters.

Analyzing dynamic performance between pantograph and contact wire depends on mechanical and electrical conditions such as contact force, currents, aerodynamics of pantograph and tension of overhead contact wire. For the characteristic of dynamic performance between pantograph and overhead contact wire, various evaluation systems are used to measuring of the interaction of the contact line and the pantograph. Among the various methods, the contact force and percentage of arcing are intended to prove the safety and the quality of the current collection system on the train. However, these methods are only capable of measuring on the train which are installed measurement systems. Therefore in this paper, a track-side monitoring system was implemented to measure electrical characteristics from active overhead contact wire systems in order to constantly estimate current collection performance of railway operation. In addition, a method to analyze loss of contact phenomena was proposed. According to simulation results, the proposed system was capable of measuring abnormal electrical behavior of pantograph and contact wires on the track-side. The advantage of the proposed system is possible to detect loss of contact or any other electrical abnormalities of all types of trains within sections from sub to sub without the need to install any on-board equipment on trains.
Obstetrics and Gynecology include gynecology which is concerned with the treatment for the disease based on physiology and pathology of women, and obstetrics which is concerned with pregnancy delivery. These obstetics and gynecology can be said to date from the birth of human beings. This paper has carried on the studies about the generating and developing process of obstetics and gynecology. The results of this study are as follows : Distinction in Northern and Southern Dynasties were much more Obstetrics and Gynecology studying the Obstetrics and Gynecology books in that time, the study about "oncosis" (腫瘤) and forms of drug, pill, powder, pIaster were carried on. The highest distinction in Sui age were research and development on pathogenesis and cause of disease about Obstetrics and Gynecology disease and it was appeared representatively in "Zhubingyuanhoulun""諸病源候論" which was special book on cause of disease and pathogenesis and syndrome, And it was explained about abnormal vaginal discharge in this book. Obstetrics and Bynecology were developed on theory and clincis in Tang age when "Taiyshu"(太醫暑) was established. "Taiyshu"(太醫暑) taked complete charge of medical operation and education, published much excellent Obstetrics and Gynecology books than the past. Among them specially "Qianjinyaofang""千金要方" explained Obstetrics and Gynecology matter first in three volumes and "Qianjinyifang""千金翼方" explained this matter first in four volumes. This point indicate that Obstetrics and Gynecology's importance was established in Tang age, so Obstetrics and Gynecology's developmental history, Song age was the acme period. "Taiyju"(太醫局) was established in "xining""熙?" 9 year and Obstetrics belonged to one of nine departments under "Taiyun"(太醫局), so Obstetrics and Gynecology was separated from the other medical parts and it was prepared of it's progressing bases independently and appeared of changes in quality and increase in quantity about theory and prescription of Obstetrics and Gynecology, specially determination of treatment based on the differentiation of symptoms and sighs was taked a serious view. Besides four great physicians in Jing and Yuan dynasies diversified Obstetrics and Gynecology contents through their only medical theory and clinical treatment.
Recent urbanization and abnormal weather have induced enormous changes in the characteristics of both runoff and pollutant occurrence. Thus, sophisticated watershed modeling of water quality is required. In order to manage non point sources in a watershed, quantitative analysis should be preliminarily performed. However, it is difficult to conduct quantitative analysis since complex natural phenomenon need to be reflected in the modeling. Also, travel time analysis for pollutants and separation of point and non point sources are not easy to carry out. The objective of this study is to quantify non point sources in watershed using soil and land use map and to make the full use of the results in managing non point sources. To do this, non point sources are quantified using a watershed model, SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tools). The result of study conform with result of National Institute of Environmental Research.
Background: An intravenous infusion of lidocaine has been used on numerous occasions to produce analgesia in neuropathic pain. In the cases of failed back surgery syndrom, the pain generated as result of abnormal impulse from the dorsal root ganglion and spinal cord, for instance as a result of nerve injury may be particularly sensitive to lidocaine. The aim of the present study was to identify the effects of IV lidocaine on neuropathic pain items of FBSS. Methods: The study was a randomized, prospective, double-blinded, crossover study involving eighteen patients with failed back surgery syndrome. The treatments were: 0.9% normal saline, lidocaine 1 mg/kg in 500 ml normal saline, and lidocaine 5 mg/kg in 500 ml normal saline over 60 minutes. The patients underwent infusions on three different appointments, at least two weeks apart. Thus all patients received all 3 treatments. Pain measurement was taken by visual analogue scale (VAS), and neuropathic pain questionnaire. Results: Both lidocaine (1 mg/kg, 5 mg/kg) and placebo significantly reduced the intense, sharp, hot, dull, cold, sensitivity, itchy, unpleasant, deep and superficial of pain. The amount of change was not significantly different among either of the lidocaine and placebo, or among the lidocaine treatments themselves, for any of the pain responses, except sharp, dull, cold, unpleasant, and deep pain. And VAS was decreased during infusion in all 3 group and there were no difference among groups. Conclusions: This study shows that 1 mg/kg, or 5 mg/kg of IV lidocaine, and palcebo was effective in patients with neuropathic pain attributable to FBSS, but effect of licoaine did not differ from placebo saline.
