Peroxiredoxin 3 Has Important Roles on Arsenic Trioxide Induced Apoptosis in Human Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia Cell Line via Hyperoxidation of Mitochondrial Specific Reactive Oxygen Species

  • NB4 cell, the human acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) cell line, was treated with various concentrations of arsenic trioxide (ATO) to induce apoptosis, measured by staining with 7-amino-actinomycin D (7-AAD) by flow cytometry. 2', 7'-dichlorodihydro-fluorescein-diacetate (DCF-DA) and MitoSOX™ Red mitochondrial superoxide indicator were used to detect intracellular and mitochondrial reactive oxygen species (ROS). The steady-state level of SO2 (Cysteine sulfinic acid, Cys-SO2H) form for peroxiredoxin 3 (PRX3) was measured by a western blot. To evaluate the effect of sulfiredoxin 1 depletion, NB4 cells were transfected with small interfering RNA and analyzed for their influence on ROS, redox enzymes, and apoptosis. The mitochondrial ROS of NB4 cells significantly increased after ATO treatment. NB4 cell apoptosis after ATO treatment increased in a time-dependent manner. Increased SO2 form and dimeric PRX3 were observed as a hyperoxidation reaction in NB4 cells post-ATO treatment, in concordance with mitochondrial ROS accumulation. Sulfiredoxin 1 expression is downregulated by small interfering RNA transfection, which potentiated mitochondrial ROS generation and cell growth arrest in ATO-treated NB4 cells. Our results indicate that ATO-induced ROS generation in APL cell mitochondria is attributable to PRX3 hyperoxidation as well as dimerized PRX3 accumulation, subsequently triggering apoptosis. The downregulation of sulfiredoxin 1 could amplify apoptosis in ATO-treated APL cells.

SAS법을 이용한 ITO 나노입자의 합성과 적층 도포된 PET 도전필름의 제조 (Synthesis of ITO Nano-Particles by SAS Method and Preparation for Conductive PET Film with Multi-Layers)

  • 저렴한 비용으로 도전성 투명 필름을 제조하기 위해 PET 필름 위에 습식 도포법으로 ITO/ATO 막을 적층시켰다. 압력 15 MPa, 온도 $50^{\circ}C$의 SAS 합성 조건으로 ITO를 합성하였으며 ITO의 최적 조성비(In/Sn)는 65, 합성된 ITO의 평균입경은 $15{\pm}2nm$, 표면저항 값은 $4{\times}10^4{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$였다. 도포액은 pH 10에서 제조하였으며 ATO 막의 표면조도(Ra), 표면저항 값, 빛투과율은 각각 9 nm, $5.5{\times}10^6{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$, 91%였다. 일차 도포된 ATO 막 위에 0.1, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0 ITO wt% 첨가한 도포액으로 ITO 막을 적층 제조하였으며, ITO/ATO 적층 필름의 표면조도는 4, 10, 12, 16 nm이였으며 표면저항 값은 각각 $3.7{\times}10^6$, $2.4{\times}10^6$, $8{\times}10^5$, $2{\times}10^5{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$로 측정되었다. 적층 필름의 빛투과율은 각각 89, 88, 86, 82%이였으며 ITO 농도가 높아질수록 빛투과율은 낮아졌다.

모델기반 설계를 통한 CBTC 차상장치 소프트웨어 개발 및 적용 (Development of CBTC Car-borne Software with Model-Based Design and Its Applications)

  • CBTC(Communication Based Train Control) car-borne equipment, a part of the communication based train control system, mainly consists of automatic train protection(ATP) functions, automatic train operation(ATO) functions as well as the interface functions with other equipment including CBTC wayside equipment and train control management system etc. The CBTC car-borne software implementing ATP/ATO functions is a real-time embedded software requiring a high level of safety and reliability. To satisfy the requirements of the CBTC car-borne software, the model-based design techniques are applied with SCADE(Safety-Critical Application Development Environment) to the development of the CBTC car-borne software. In this paper, we illustrate the process modeling the car-borne ATP/ATO functions satisfying system requirement specification with system requirement management, modeling and document generation tools etc. supported by SCADE. In addition, the developed models corresponding to the ATP/ATO functions are applied to the train with CBTC car-borne equipment through its corresponding EN-50128 standards-compliant C code generated by the code generator. It is shown from the test result that the ATP/ATO models developed by SCADE work well while the trains are running in driverless operation mode.

Characterization of Sol-Gel Derived Antimony-doped Tin Oxide Thin Films for Transparent Conductive Oxide Application

  • Antimony doped tin oxide (ATO) thin films on glass substrate were prepared by the chemical solution deposition (CSD) method, using sol-gel solution synthesized by non-alkoxide precursors and the sol-gel route. The crystallinity and electrical properties of ATO thin films were investigated as a function of the annealing condition (both annealing environments and temperatures), and antimony (Sb) doping concentration. Electrical resistivity, carrier concentration, Hall mobility and optical transmittance of ATO thin films were improved by Sb doping up to 5~8 mol% and annealing in a low vacuum atmosphere, compared to the undoped tin oxide counterpart. 5 mol% Sb doped ATO film annealed at $550^{\circ}C$ in a low vacuum atmosphere showed the highest electrical properties, with electrical resistivity of about $8{\sim}10{\times}10^{-3}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$, and optical transmittance of ~85% in the visible range. Our research demonstrates the feasibility of low-cost solution-processed transparent conductive oxide thin films, by controlling the appropriate doping concentration and annealing conditions.

  • 일반적으로 FMECA는 시스템에 치명적인 영향을 줄 수 있는 장치나 고장모드를 파악하고 우선순위를 판단하여 이를 설계나 시스템 유지보수에 반영할 때 사용할 수 있는 기법이다. 본 논문은 도시철도차량의 차상 신호설비인 ATC/ATO 시스템에 FMECA를 이용하여 도시철도차량의 운전장애 현상을 정량적으로 분석하고 위험요소를 도출한 다음 이를 제거하여 도시철도차량의 운전환경을 개선할 수 있도록 하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 FMECA를 활용한 분석을 통해 ADU 개선방안과 사례를 제시하였다.

  • Antimony doped tin oxide (ATO) thin films were deposited at room temperature by ion-beam sputter deposition (IBSD) technique in oxidizing atmosphere utilizing Sb and Sn metal targets. Effect of Sb doping concentration, film thickness and heat treatment on electrical and optical properties was investigated. The thickness of as-deposited films was controlled approximately to $1500{\AA}$ or $2000{\AA}$, and Sb concentration to 10.8 and 14.9 wt%, as determined by SEM and XPS analyses. Heat treatment was performed at the temperature from $400^{\circ}C$ to $600^{\circ}C$ in flowing $O_2$ or forming gas. The resulting ATO films showed widely changing electrical resistivity and optical transmittance values in the visible spectrum depending on the composition, thickness and firing condition.

  • This paper describes the calculation and application of the speed profile for the train speed control when the train is operated by ATO(Automatic Train Operation). We propose a speed profile calculation method considering the speed limitation and the jerk limitation, in order to maintain the quality of the train automatic operation. In previous works, ATO calculates a desired speed profile along the time, and controls the train to follow the profile. In this case, it may be hard to follow the restrictive speed along the location or to stop the train with a low location error, because of the difference between the desired location at each time and the real location of the train due to the control error. In the proposed method in this paper, we calculate a desired speed profile along the time considering the speed and jerk limitation first, and derive a speed profile along the location using it. If the restrictive speed profile is changed or the train speed strayed from the speed profile, ATO system calculates new speed profile and applies it immediately. Because ATO system controls the train speed based on the train location, the accuracy of the train location control can be improved. A simulation system for the test of the automatic train operation using this method is designed.

  • This study focuses on finding ways to derive train's optimal ECO driving pattern, which can improve the ride quality and reduce driving energy consumption with keeping the time interval between the stations. As research method, we compared difference of currently operating train's ATO and MCS driving patterns, and concentrated upon the things need to consider in simulation in order to improve the existing pattern of ATO driving pattern's issues with securing the train operation safety. Determining driving pattern minimizing energy consumption by controlling powering within speed limit and controlling switching to coasting at appropriate point considering the track conditions for each section, and determining braking control starting time considering ride comfort and precise stopping is considered to be most important.

UV-curable polyester-acrylate coating with antimony doped tin oxide nanoparticles

  • Antimony doped tin oxide (ATO) nanoparticles were added as nanofillers to UV-curable polyester-acrylate (PEA) resin for coating to improve thermal, mechanical, and electrical properties. In this study, ATO nanoparticles were grafted by 3-glycidyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane and 3-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane respectively to improve dispersion and interfacial adhesion. The physical properties and surface scratch hardness of the UV-curable nanocomposite coating were improved considerably by introducing the modified ATO nanoparticles.

  • AIS 시스템은 2002년부터 선박의 운항정보, 항로표지 정보등 다양한 정보를 송수신하여 선박 교통 및 해상 안전에 중요한 역할을 한다. 이 연구에서는 AtoN AIS 장비 운영에 있어 전문적인 지식 없이도 안드로이드 폰(테블릿)을 이용하여 간편하게 장비의 설정을 하고 운영할 수 있은 프로그램을 개발하였다.
