Research on the Influence of the Collaboration between Fashion Brands and Artists on Consumer Needs - Centered on the Collaboration Series between Uniqlo and KAWS -

  • Based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, this research only employs whether to meet consumer needs as a measure, and focuses on the Collaboration Series between Uniqlo and KAWS to discuss the influence of the collaboration between fashion brands and artists on consumer needs. What's more, this paper also proposes whether the collaboration with artists as brands can meet the higher needs of consumers and influence new consumer groups. Finally, it is concluded that the collaboration between fashion brands and artists plays an active role in meeting the higher needs of consumers and can expand new consumer groups, which will provide reference and theoretical basis for enterprises to conduct collaboration with art, incorporate the needs of consumers into the scope of planning, and consider the collaboration with artists more comprehensively.

  • Train to Busan(2016) and Seoul Station(2016) contain trans-media properties in terms of the expansion of 'possible worlds' from the original story, and show the cultural and economic potential of the domestic trans-media contents with industrial systems added to the artist's competence of Dir. Yeon Shang-ho, an animator and film director. But they also have limits of the lack of continuity in time and characters between each media, various derived contents and suitable marketing strategy. For the development of Korean trans-media contents, it is necessary to extend the range of contents, find changes in production time and style, and improve the distribution environment to encourage a user to integrate contents from each platforms.

  • 인체에 대한 거부, 인체의 부재의 다양한 의미를 평면화된 의상으로 전달하고자 한 세 작품을 분석한 결과, 1) 손으로 가공한 종이 / 코트 평범한 / 평범하지 않은, 의도적인 / 우연히, 자연적인 / 인위적인 요소들의 대립을 통해 전통과 현대의 대림과 조화의 의미를 전달하고 있다. 2) 입체 /평면, 벽면 / 바닥, 상체 / 하체 둥의 요소들의 대립을 통해 인체에 대한 냉소적인 태도를 엿 볼 수 있다. 3) 안 / 밖, 하나의 드레스 / 덧입은 드레스, 완전한 평면/ 불일치의 공간은 전통적인 옷입기에 대해 새로운 방식의 옷입기를 제시하고 있다.

  • 르네상스 시대가 도래하자 고대 그리스와 로마 문화의 부흥으로 유클리드 기하학이 다시 연구되고 실험과 관찰의 정신이 대두되었다. 이는 곧 근대의 정신인 것이다. 본 논문에서는 17, 18세기에 지식인이 추구했던 가치가 운동, 속도, 빛이었으므로 수학에서 미분적분차이 발명되고, 미술에서는 빛의 화가, 순간의 화가를 탄생시킨 근대의 시대정신과 사회적인 배경을 주목한다.

  • The results from the consideration of this are as follows. 1. Silla Kingdom has been the name of chronolongical era, from king Bubhung 2nd years to Jinduck 4 years. 2. From Dang dynasty has been received to King of Silla, first class-third class of Dang's office and rank. 3. After unification of Silla Kingdom, Dang dynasty's envoy and missionary and many commercial men and artist come froze Dang to Silla, threfore, influenced their costume habbits and behabiers from royal families costumes and common peaples costume, without concern of that one's social position. 4. Ancient Silla Kingdom performed a religious service an emperor's ceremony, but after unification, performed King's level a religious service, therefor King's ceremonial costumes are Dang dynasty's king's level Myunryukwanbok.

  • The Institute of Contemporary Art has gathered, arranged and exchanged historical data and a variety of information of art. It also aims at Helping revitalize artistic activities and develop diverse areas of art among regions. This scheme for revitalization of art includes holding seminars, international exhibitions or regional exchange exhibitions, publishing papers, and enhancing art education. This paper provides a view of what the Institute of Contemporary Art at Kunsan University has done so far, pursues better ways for revitalization of artistic activities, and suggests a future-oriented approach for making the institute a place for regional exchange of modem art and design.

  • The target of this research is the analysis about Santiago Calatravas works in harmony with the dynamics of architectural technology and aesthetics in contemporary architecture. His first design process in works starts from the observation about the from of nature. He expresses the dynamics of architecture through using the Curve freely. His works express the dynamic movement, the quality of the unique inspiration and the rhythmical impression. As both scientist and artist, Calatrava could be called a classical architect and a man of his times simultaneously. Consequently, contemporary architectural designs shall be gradually focused in the dynamics of the technology and aesthetics as Calatravas ones.

  • Art of today is expressed in various images incorporated in industrial development and visible in industrial parks, modern cities. Avant garde art and modernism brought abstract and conceptual art into conflict in the early 20th century and they absorbed elements of each other and grew into post modernism, which emerged in the 1960s and is still current. The avant garde challenged what was lofty and sometimes opposed modernism and sometimes fed it in cycles until post modernism was established. 'Trans avant garde', which, unlike modernism asserted individual expression, also appeared in the 1970s. Trans avant garde is spiritual art in which the artist's conversation with his soul returns. This study examines the readjustments the trans avant garde is making in its relationship with the dominant ethos of different values and offers the world art with important spiritual beauty. Trans avant garde art takes many forms, from thing to huge, which are manifested every where in architecture, interior design and everyday life.

  • Environment artworks occupy the diverse spaces of architecture not as one of ornaments or supplementaries to edifice but as a main subject of architectural effect. The application of artworks in architectural design, such as paintings or sculptures including installation art possesses social and historical functions as well as contextual meaning. In Korea the interest of environment artworks has increased since early 1980s, during which large projects began to establish. However environment artworks have been selected merely by the owner's preference or the artist's aesthetic value without collaboration with architects or interior architects, who are willing to allow the minimal units of signification to architectural space. The purpose of the study is to prove the importance of environment artworks in spatial design of architecture. The essence intrinsic to design issue will be defined by proposing the selection factors for environment artworks to escalate the value of architectural space, so that we can expect not only the unification of art and architecture but also the accordance between artistry and publicity.

  • Current Western-dominated paradigms of technology are based on a reductionstic view, i.e., machines evolve to an intelligent but isolated object form by serially integrating precise subtechnology, humans and the environment through K rperlichkeit(corporeality or philosophy of Mom), is explored. Parallelism based on holism and embodiment, and relative interactions based on correspondence and interrelationships, are the key ideas in the proposed paradigm. An interactive system, called the Emotional intelligence Interface and Performance System(EIPS), is proposed and implemented to explore the proposed interactive technology paradigm. Also, recent collaborations by ASTA(Arts, Sciences & Technology in Asia), an interdisciplinary project team of artists and engineers, are introduced to demonstrate these explorations.
