The ice machine is the machine for making ice. As most of the companies that manufactures and sells the ice machine are small and medium-sized companies, they have been they have been experiencing the trouble for the after-sales service after selling the machine. The difficulties of the after-sales service are mostly caused by unnecessary customer service requests of the purchaser, which eventually leads to the unnecessary expenditure of the seller and the purchaser. However, financially, the poor ice machine manufacturers want to reduce this cost as much as possible. Furthermore, even if they want to sell their products overseas, they are hesitating because of the after-sales service. For this reason, the companies making the ice machine need a system which checks the status of the ice machine and takes the proper actions without the visiting service. Therefore, this paper introduces the remote control and operational status monitoring systems which can monitor the status of the ice machine in the remote area and control it as needed. Through the developed system, the company manufacturing the ice machine and the manager of the ice machine can understand the current status of the ice machine and respond against the ice machine's trouble, immediately. In addition, it can be expected to have great effects on cost reduction because the maintenance and management after selling can be efficiently performed.

Recently, the field of agriculture has been gaining a new leap with the integration of ICT technology in agriculture. In particular, smart farms, which incorporate the Internet of Things (IoT) technology in agriculture, are in the spotlight. Smart farm technology collects and analyzes information such as temperature and humidity of the environment where crops are cultivated in real time using sensors to automatically control the devices necessary for harvesting crops in the control device, Environment. Although smart farm technology is paying attention as if it can solve everything, most of the research focuses only on increasing crop yields. This paper focuses on the development of a system architecture that can harvest high quality crops at the optimum stage rather than increase crop yields. In this paper, we have developed an architecture using apple trees as a sample and used the color information and weight information to predict the harvest time of apple trees. The simple board that collects color information and weight information and transmits it to the server side uses Arduino and adopts model-driven development (MDD) as development methodology. We have developed an architecture to provide services to PC users in the form of Web and to provide Smart Phone users with services in the form of hybrid apps. We also developed an architecture that uses beacon technology to provide orchestration information to users in real time.

In paddy rice farming, water management is a critical task. To suppress weed emergence during the early stages of growth, fields are deeply flooded, and after transplantation, the water level is reduced to promote rooting and stimulate stem generation. Later, water is drained to prevent the production of sterile tillers. The adequacy of water supply is influenced by various factors such as field location, irrigation channels, soil conditions, and weather, requiring farmers to frequently check water levels and control the ingress and egress of water. This effort increases if the fields are scattered in remote locations. Automated irrigation systems have been considered to reduce labor and improve productivity. However, the net income from rice production in 2022 was about KRW 320,000/10a on average, making it financially unfeasible to implement high-cost devices or construct new infrastructure. This study focused on developing an IoT-Based irrigation valve that can be easily integrated into existing agricultural infrastructure without additional construction. The research was carried out in three main areas: Firstly, an irrigation valve was designed for quick and easy installation on existing agricultural pipes. Secondly, a power circuit was developed to connect a low-power Cat M1 communication modem with an Arduino Nano board for remote operation. Thirdly, a cloud-based platform was used to set up a server and database environment and create a web interface that users can easily access.

Deep learning requires building a deep neural network, collecting a large amount of training data, and then training the built neural network for a long time. If training does not proceed properly or overfitting occurs, training will fail. When using deep learning tools that have been developed so far, it takes a lot of time to collect training data and learn. However, due to the rapid advent of the mobile environment and the increase in sensor data, the demand for real-time deep learning technology that can dramatically reduce the time required for neural network learning is rapidly increasing. In this study, a real-time deep learning system was implemented using an Arduino system equipped with a fine dust sensor. In the implemented system, fine dust data is measured every 30 seconds, and when up to 120 are accumulated, learning is performed using the previously accumulated data and the newly accumulated data as a dataset. The neural network for learning was composed of one input layer, one hidden layer, and one output. To evaluate the performance of the implemented system, learning time and root mean square error (RMSE) were measured. As a result of the experiment, the average learning error was 0.04053796, and the average learning time of one epoch was about 3,447 seconds.

A color sensor is an optical sensor used to take pictures of objects, including the human body, and reproduce them on a monitor. A color sensor quantifies the red, green, and blue light coming from an object and expresses it as a digital number, and can judge the state of the object by comparing the values or the ratio. In this study, the standard colors displayed on the monitor were measured using a color sensor, and the magnitudes of the red, green, and blue components, or RGB values, were compared with the values indicated by the computer. When measured with the TCS 34725 color sensor, even when the light generated by the computer consists of only one or two of red, green, and blue light, the color sensor detected all three components. Additionally, when the colors of two monitors with the same RGB values were measured using a color sensor, different RGB values were measured. These results can be attributed to the imperfection of the color filters used to express colors on the monitor and the imperfect optical characteristics of the photodiodes used in the color sensor. When photographing an object and judging its condition based on its color, you must use the same type of camera or smartphone.
PET(Positron Emission Tomography) devices are used as PET/CT or PET/MRI devices fused with the devices of CT or MRI for obtaining anatomical information. Therefore, the devices are constructed in circular ring-type structure whose length of gantry(the main part of filming) becomes wider and the interior depth becomes longer in comparison to other common medical equipments. scintillator, one of the components in PET devices, is inside the gantry, and as it is consisted of crystal which is sensitive to the change of temperature and humidity, large temperature change can cause the scintillator to be damaged. Though scintillator located inside the gantry maintains temperature and humidity with a thermo-hygrostat, changes in temperature and humidity are expected due to structural reasons. The output value was measured by dividing the inside of the gantry of the PET/CT device into six zones, each of which an Adafruit BME 280 temperature and humidity sensor was placed at. A thermo-hygrostat keeps the temperature and humidity constant in the PET/CT room. As the measured value of temperature and humidity of the sensor was obtained, the measured value of temperature and humidity appeared in the thermohygrostat was taken at the same time. Comparing the average measured values of temperature and humidity measured at each six zones with the average values of the thermo-hygrostat results in a difference of 2.71℃ in temperature and 21.5% in humidity. The measured temperature and humidity of PET Gantry is out of domestic quality control range. According to the results of the study, if there is continuous change in temperature and humidity in the future, the aging of the scintillator mounted in the PET Gantry is expected to be aging, so it is necessary to find a way to properly maintain the temperature and humidity inside the Gantry structure.
The rapid on-site measurement of hydroponic nutrients allows for the more efficient use of crop fertilizers. This paper reports on the development of an embedded on-site system consisting of multiple ion-selective electrodes (ISEs) for the real-time measurement of the concentrations of macronutrients in hydroponic solutions. The system included a combination of PVC ISEs for the detection of NO3, K, and Ca ions, a cobalt-electrode for the detection of H2PO4, a double-junction reference electrode, a solution container, and a sampling system consisting of pumps and valves. An Arduino Due board was used to collect data and to control the volume of the sample. Prior to the measurement of each sample, a two-point normalization method was employed to adjust the sensitivity followed by an offset to minimize potential drift that might occur during continuous measurement. The predictive capabilities of the NO3 and K ISEs based on PVC membranes were satisfactory, producing results that were in close agreement with the results of standard analyzers (R2 = 0.99). Though the Ca ISE fabricated with Ca ionophore II underestimated the Ca concentration by an average of 55%, the strong linear relationship (R2 > 0.84) makes it possible for the embedded system to be used in hydroponic NO3, K, and Ca sensing. The cobalt-rod-based phosphate electrodes exhibited a relatively high error of 24.7±9.26% in the phosphate concentration range of 45 to 155 mg/L compared to standard methods due to inconsistent signal readings between replicates, illustrating the need for further research on the signal conditioning of cobalt electrodes to improve their predictive ability in hydroponic P sensing.

To respond to the threat of global warming, countries around the world are promoting the spread of renewable energy and reduction of carbon emissions. In accordance with the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goal to combat climate change and its impacts, global automakers are pushing for a full transition to electric vehicles within the next 10 years. Electric vehicles can be a useful means for reducing carbon emissions, but in order to reduce carbon generated in the stage of producing electricity for charging, a power generation system using eco-friendly renewable energy is required. In this study, we propose a smart electric mobility operating system integrated with off-grid solar power plants established in Tanzania, Africa. By applying smart monitoring and communication functions based on Arduino-based computing devices, information such as remaining battery capacity, battery status, location, speed, altitude, and road conditions of an electric vehicle or electric motorcycle is monitored. In addition, we present a scenario that communicates with the surrounding independent solar power plant infrastructure to predict the drivable distance and optimize the charging schedule and route to the destination. The feasibility of the proposed system was verified through test runs of electric motorcycles. In considering local environmental characteristics in Tanzania for the operation of the electric mobility system, factors such as eco-friendliness, economic feasibility, ease of operation, and compatibility should be weighed. The smart electric mobility operating system proposed in this study can be an important basis for implementing the SDGs' climate change response.
