The production of hydrogen from steam by reduced iron with additives such as CuO, $In_2O_3$, $MoO_3$ and $WO_3$ has been kinetically investigated. It was shown that all additives have a promoting effect on reaction activity in the order of $$MoO_3{\gg}In_2O_3{\sim_=}WO_3{\sim_=}CuO$$. The shrinking core model was applied to predict the complete conversion time and the results were quite comparable with experimental values. The reaction was carried out in a fixed flow reactor packed with reduced iron with 1 wt % of additives under the conditions, $600-750^{\circ}C$, Ar flow rate of 1 L/min and steam partial pressure of 0.085 atm. The apparent activation energies were 14.2, 20.9, 21.3, 22.4 and 27.9 kJ/mol with $MoO_3$, $In_2O_3$, $WO_3$, CuO and without additive, respectively.

This study have been conducted to analyze the feasibility of establishing Contamination Warning System(CWS) that is capable of monitoring early natural or intentional water quality accidents, and providing active and quick responses for domestic C_water supply system. In order to evaluate the water quality data set, pH, turbidity and free residual chlorine concentration data were collected and each statistical value(mean, variation, range) was calculated, then the seasonal variability of those were analyzed using the independent t-test. From the results of analyzing the distribution of outliers in the measurement data using a high-pass filter, it could be confirmed that a lot of lower outliers appeared due to data missing. In addition, linear filter model based on autoregressive model(AR(1) and AR(2)) was applied for the state estimation of each water quality data set. From the results of analyzing the variability of the autocorrelation coefficient structure according to the change of window size(6hours~48hours), at least the window size longer than 12hours should be necessary for estimating the state of water quality data satisfactorily.
Future changes in seasonal mean temperature and precipitation over East Asia under anthropogenic global warming are investigated by comparing the historical run for 1979~2005 and the Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) 4.5 run for 2006~2100 with 20 coupled models which participated in the phase five of Coupled Model Inter-comparison Project (CMIP5). Although an increase in future temperature over the East Asian monsoon region has been commonly accepted, the prediction of future precipitation under global warming still has considerable uncertainties with a large inter-model spread. Thus, we select best five models, based on the evaluation of models' performance in present climate for boreal summer and winter seasons, to reduce uncertainties in future projection. Overall, the CMIP5 models better simulate climatological temperature and precipitation over East Asia than the phase 3 of CMIP and the five best models' multi-model ensemble (B5MME) has better performance than all 20 models' multi-model ensemble (MME). Under anthropogenic global warming, significant increases are expected in both temperature and land-ocean thermal contrast over the entire East Asia region during both seasons for near and long term future. The contrast of future precipitation in winter between land and ocean will decrease over East Asia whereas that in summer particularly over the Korean Peninsula, associated with the Changma, will increase. Taking into account model validation and uncertainty estimation, this study has made an effort on providing a more reliable range of future change for temperature and precipitation particularly over the Korean Peninsula than previous studies.

Fast handover protocol provides seamless handover in mobile Ipv6 networks by reducing handover latency. This paper proposes FMIP-M mechanism to apply this advantage of fast handover protocol to multicast service. The FMIP-M is a fast handover mechanism that supports a reliable multicast service in mobile Ipv6 networks. When hosts move other networks, they may have seine data missing and out-of-synch problems of multicast data. The proposed mechanism provides reliable multicast transmission by compensating data losses from the previous AR. Also it provides an additional function that is able to change multicasting service types dynamically in accordance with network status related with multicasting. So that it is able to make multicast paths very close to the optimum and more efficient multicast service is possible. The performance of the proposed mechanism is evaluated by a time analysis and simulations in various conditions.

This paper suggests the robust localization system in the application of ambient display with multiple ultrasonic range sensors. The ambient display provides the interactive image and video to improve the quality of life, especially for low mobility elders. Due to the limitation of indoor localization, this paper employs linear prediction algorithm to recover the missing information based on AR(Autoregressive) model by using Yule-Walker method. Numerous speculations from prediction error and computation load are considered to decide the optimal length of referred data and order. The results of these analyses demonstrate that the linear prediction algorithm with the 16th order and 50 reference data can improve reliability of the system in average 74.39% up to 97.97% to meet the performance of interactive system.

In this paper, a wideband circular polarizer operating in the frequency range of 6~18 GHz is designed and fabricated using a multilayer structure with meanderlines. A T matrix expression for the unit structure, which consists of meanderline, dielectric substrate and spacer, was derived using the boundary value solution. A proposed meanderline structure was modeled as an array of unit meanderline cell in order to apply the waveguide model with PEC and PMC boundary conditions. The calculation procedures to obtain an equivalent susceptance of the unit meanderline cell using HFSS was also suggested. Using a hybrid method, which combines the T matrix with the HFSS results, and cut-and-try method, a wideband circular polarizer with low insertion loss and good AR performance was designed. The fabricated polarizer has the return loss less than -10 dB within 92 % bandwidth, the average insertion loss less than -0.24 dB, and the average AR below 2.6 dB for full 3:1 bandwidth.
Recently, many researchers have been involved in finding deterministic equations which can accurately predict future event, based on chaotic theory, or fractal theory. The theory says that some events which seem very random but internally deterministic can be accurately predicted by fractal equations. In contrast to the conventional methods, such as AR model, MA, model, or ARIMA model, the fractal equation attempts to discover a deterministic order inherent in time series data set. In discovering deterministic order, researchers have found that neural networks are much more effective than the conventional statistical models. Even though prediction accuracy of the network can be different depending on the topological structure and modification of the algorithms, many researchers asserted that the neural network systems outperforms other systems, because of non-linear behaviour of the network models, mechanisms of massive parallel processing, generalization capability based on adaptive learning. However, recent survey shows that prediction accuracy of the forecasting models can be determined by the model structure and data structures. In the experiments based on actual economic data sets, it was found that the prediction accuracy of the neural network model is similar to the performance level of the conventional forecasting model. Especially, for the data set which is deterministically chaotic, the AR model, a conventional statistical model, was not significantly different from the MLP model, a neural network model. This result shows that the forecasting model. This result shows that the forecasting model a, pp.opriate to a prediction task should be selected based on characteristics of the time series data set. Analysis of the characteristics of the data set was performed by fractal analysis, measurement of Hurst index, and measurement of Lyapunov exponents. As a conclusion, a significant difference was not found in forecasting future events for the time series data which is deterministically chaotic, between a conventional forecasting model and a typical neural network model.

Augmented Reality(AR) assists human's cognitive ability through the information visualization by substantiating information about virtual situation. This technology is studied in a variety of ways including education, design, industry, and so on, by various supply of information devices equipped with cameras and display monitors. Since the most of the AR system depends on limited interaction that responds to the order from user, it can not reflect diverse real world situation. In this study, we suggest a knowledge based augmented reality system, which is composed of context awareness agent that provides recognized context information, along with knowledge based component that provides intelligent capability by utilizing domain knowledges. With this capability, the augmented object can generate dynamic model intelligently by reflecting context information, and can make the interaction possible among the multiple objects. We developed rule based context awareness system along with 3D model generation, and tested interaction among the augmented objects. And we suggest a framework that can provide a convenient way of developing augmented reality system for user.
A speech enhancement algorithm which attenuates nonstationary colored noise is presented In this paper. The algorithm consists of a stationary Kalman filter and the simple speech/nonspeech detector. While the conventional enhancement systems are focused on a stationary and/or white background noise, this study Is focused on the mort realistic nonstationary and nonwhite noise. An AR model-based vector Kalman filter is used as a noise suppression system and a short-time energy threshold logic is used as a speech/nonspeech classifier. For Kalman filtering. noise coefficients are estimated in the nonspeech frame, and speech coefficients are estimated by applying the EM iteration algorithm. Simulation results using the car noise are presented based on the signal-to-noise ratio and informal listening tests. According to the experimental results, background noises in the nonspeech frames are eliminated almost completely, while some distortions are noticed in the speech frames. The distortion becomes severer as the SNR is reduced to 0dB and -5dB. Intelligibility, however, is not degraded significantly.
By the use of computer simulation including collisional mixing kinetic processes of the B- and C-state in the upper laser level the output characteristics of electron-beam pumped XeF$(C\rightarrowA$ excimer laser are analyzed. We compared the results between experiments and simulations for the $XeF^*(C)$ formation that correlated the number of densities of the $XeF^*(B)$. We obtained good agreement$(28.5 mJ\pm5%)$ with comparisons between experiment and simulation and confirmed the optimal gas mixing ratio of $Xe/F_2/Ar=5.26/0.49/94.28%$ at atmospheric pressure laser medium under the condition of 70 ns [FWHM] electron-beam (800 kV, 21 kA). Also through the simulation we have investigated that the $XeF^*(C)$ formation channel, the $XeF^*(C)$ relaxation channel, and the absorption channel of bluegreen wavelength region as a function of F2 halogen donor and Xe partial pressure. ssure.
