  • We have studied the technologies for a double-deck train. But, there are no standards and test methods for a double-deck train. Therefore, we apply the standard and test method of the general train to transform the structural analysis of a double-deck train. This study is the result of a structural analysis by the finite element method for double-deck train carbodies. The results of the study can be used as basic guidelines in designing double-deck trains in the future.

  • A new evolutionary programming technique using multiple subpopulations with completely differnt evolution mechanisms is propsed to solve the optimization problems. Three subpopulations, each has different evolution charcteristics and uses different EP algorithms such as SAEP, AEP and FEP, are cooperating with synergy effect in which it increases the possibility to quickly find the global optimum of continuous optimization problems. Subpopulations evolve in differnt manner and the interaction among these leads to global minimum quickly.

복잡지형에 위치한 풍력발전단지의 연간발전량 예측 비교 연구 (AEP Prediction of a Wind Farm in Complex Terrain - WindPRO Vs. WindSim)

  • The annual energy production of Gangwon wind farm was predicted for three consecutive years of 2007, 2008 and 2009 using commercial programs, WindPRO and WindSim which are known to be used the most for wind resource prediction in the world. The predictions from the linear code, WindPRO, were compared with both the actual energy prediction presented in the CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) monitoring report of the wind farm and also the predictions from the CFD code, WindSim. The results from WindPRO were close to the actual energy productions and the errors were within 11.8% unlike the expectation. The reason for the low prediction errors was found to be due to the fact that although the wind farm is located in highly complex terrain, the terrain steepness was smaller than a critical angle($21.8^{\circ}$) in front of the wind farm in the main wind direction. Therefore no flow separation was found to occur within the wind farm. The flow separation of the main wind was found to occur mostly behind the wind farm.

  • Acute eosinophilic pneumonia (AEP) is characterized by idiopathic acute febrile illness, diffuse pulmonary infiltration, severe hypoxemia, and pulmonary eosinophilia. We report a case of AEP associated with intramuscular administration of progesterone as luteal phase support after in vitro fertilization. A 33-year-old woman presented to our emergency room with tachypnea and hypoxemia, complaining of fever and cough for 4 days, and dyspnea for 2 days. The symptoms began 9 days after the first injection of progesterone. Chest radiograph showed bilateral infiltrates, located predominantly in the periphery of the lungs, with blunting of the costophrenic angle. Symptoms and chest radiograph dramatically improved after corticosteroid therapy and shifting the progesterone from an intramuscular form of administration to a vaginal form of administration.

풍력자원평가를 위한 단순지형에서의 육상 기상탑 바람 데이터의 상호 적용 (Mutual Application of Met-Masts Wind Data on Simple Terrain for Wind Resource Assessment)

  • In order to examine if met-masts wind data can exchange each other for wind resource assessment, an investigation was carried out in Kimnyeong and Haengwon regions of Jeju Island. The two regions are both simple terrain and 4.31 km away from each other. The one-year wind speed data measured by 70 m-high anemometers of each met-mast of the two regions were analysed in detail. Measure-Correlate-Predict (MCP) method was applied to the two regions using the 10-year Automatic Weather System (AWS) wind data of Gujwa region for creating 10-year Wind Statistics by running WindPRO software. The two 10-year Wind Statistics were applied to the self-met mast point for self prediction of Annual Energy Production (AEP) and Capacity Factor (CF) and the each other's met mast point for mutual prediction of them. As a result, when self-prediction values were reference, relative errors of mutual prediction values were less than 1% for AEP and CF so that met masts wind data under the same condition of this study could exchange each other for estimating accurate wind resource.

  • 본 고에서는 현재 탐색단계의 표준화가 진행 중인 MPEG-I Immersive Audio 표준화 동향을 소개한다. 이 표준은 5G/6G와 같은 초연결 환경에서 킬러 어플리케이션으로 기대되는 가상현실(Virtual Reality; VR) 및 증강현실(Augmemted Reality; AR)에서, 이용자가 가상환경과 상호작용을 통해 6 자유도(Degrees of freedom; DoF)로 소리를 실감나게 느끼고 실제 환경에서 경험하는 것과 같은 공간음향 체험을 제공하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위하여, MPEG Audio Working Group에서는 가상현실 및 증강현실에서 공간음향 체험을 위한 시스템 구조 및 요구사항을 정의하였다. 이를 기반으로 요구사항에 대한 제안 기술 선정을 위한 오디오 평가 플랫폼(Audio evaluation platform; AEP), 인코더 입력 포맷(Encoder input format; EIF) 및 평가 절차 등에 대한 논의를 진행하고 있으며, 본 고에서는 그 주요 내용을 요약 기술한다.

미숙아로 태어난 부당 경량아의 청각유발전위검사 (The auditory evoked potential in premature small for gestational age infants)

  • 목 적 : 청각 유발 전위 검사는 신생아 선별 검사의 하나로 주요 신경학적 장애의 발생 빈도가 정상아보다 높은 미숙아 군에서 주로 시행되며, 본 연구에서는 이 검사를 미숙아에게 실시하여 미숙아 중에서도 부당 경량아와 적정 체중아군 사이에 유의한 차이가 있는지를 검토하고자 하였다. 방 법 : 2002년 8월부터 2005년 7월까지 고려대학교 의료원에서 태어난 미숙아중 산모와 환아 모두 특이 질병이 없는 경우를 대상으로 하였으며, 청각 유발 전위 검사를 시행한 환아 183명을 대상으로 하였다. 출생 시 체중과 머리 둘레, 가슴둘레를 바탕으로 적정 체중아와 비대칭 부당 경량아, 그리고 대칭적 부당경량아의 세 군으로 나누고, APL(I, III, V파)와 IPL(I-III, III-V, I-V파)의 6가지 항목을 비교하였다. 결 과 : 적정 체중아와 대칭적 부당 경량아군, 대칭적 부당 경량아와 비대칭 부당 경량아 군에서 출생 시 머리 둘레가 유의한 차이를 보였고(P<0.001, P<0.001), 적정 체중아와 비대칭 부당경량아군 사이에 통계학적으로 의미 있는 저혈당증과 저알부민혈증 빈도의 차이를 보였다(P=0.027, P=0.030). 적정 체중아군이 우측의 V APL에서 대칭 부당 경량아군에 비해 지연되었다(P=0.042). 또한 우측의 III-V IPL에서는 비대칭 부당 경량아군이 적정 체중아군이나 대칭적 부당 경량아군에 비해 지연되었다(P=0.047, P=0.005). 좌측의 III-V IPL에서도 비대칭 부당 경량아군이 대칭적 부당 경량아군에 비해 지연되었다(P=0.022). 좌, 우측의 I-V IPL에서는 대칭적 부당경량아군에서 적정 체중아에 비해 단축되었다(P=0.018, P=0.035). 그러나 시행한 모든 AEP 값은 참고 범위 안에 있었다. 그리고 각 군에서 출생 시 체중과 유의한(P<0.05) 요인을 상관 분석한 결과, 비대칭 부당 경량아에서만 출생 시 체중이 좌, 우측의 III APL와 양의 상관관계를, 우측의 III-V IPL와 음의 상관관계를 이루고 있었다(P=0.017, P=0.027, P=0.019). 결 론 : 본 연구에서는 부당 경량 미숙아의 신경 발달에 대한 기초 자료를 마련하였으며, 이는 추적 진료시 신경학적 평가에 유용할 것으로 생각한다.

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze the sensitivity of WindSIM in complex terrain. As the flat areas for wind turbine installation become scarce globally, it becomes inevitable to install wind turbines in complex terrain. In order to predict annual energy production (AEP) in a more precise manner in complex terrain, it is of great importance to conduct such research. Three parameters: reference velocity, roughness and resolution have been chosen to see to which parameter WindSIM was the most sensitive in terms of annual energy production in complex terrain. By fixing two parameters and setting one parameter as a variable, it could be easily found that how annual energy production was effected by the change in each parameter.

  • Maleimide modified epoxy compounds were prepared by reacting N-(4-hydroxyphenyl) maleimide (HPM) with diglycidylether of bisphenol-A. Triphenylphosphine was used as catalyst and methylethylketone as solvent. The resulting compound possessed both the oxirane ring and maleimide group. The curing reaction of the maleimide epoxy compound with amine curing agents such as 1-(2-aminoethyl) piperazine (AEP) and 5-amino-1,3,3-trimethylcyclohexane methylamine isophorone diamine, IPDA) were studied. Incorporation of maleimide groups in the epoxy resin provides cyclic imide structure and high cross-linking density to the cured resins. The cured samples were found to have good thermal stability, chemical resistance (acid/alkali/solvent) and water absorption resistance.

  • Optimal design of the direct-driven PM Wind Generator, combined with DEAS(Dynamic Encoding Algorithm for Searches) and FEM(Finite Element Method), has been proposed to maximize the Annual Energy Production(AEP) over the whole wind speed characterized by the statistical model of wind speed distribution. In particular, DEAS has been contributed to reducing the excessive computing time for the optimization process.
