A food waste disposer commonly used in restaurants or homes is a type of machine with an agitator attached. The food waste disposer of the crushing type has a problem that the agitator may be broken if the piping or decomposition filter is blocked. In addition, there is an inconvenience that the user must manually open the cover to check the level in the food waste disposer. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a device that combines basic IoT technology with food waste disposer. The proposed device additionally designs and implement a real-time monitor processor and an automatic control processor inside the existing food waste disposer. The proposed food waste disposer allows the user to monitor the inside of the device using the smartphone. In addition, when the food is filled up to a certain position in the food waste disposer, it automatically stops and alarms. Using the proposed system, the user can conveniently check the inside of the food waste disposer, which has the advantage of preventing malfunctions in advance and reducing the probability of malfunction.
This paper proposes a fingerprint verification system on a fuzzy vault with steganography for a smartphone. While biometric-based authentication can provide strong security, the biometric data must be handled carefully as it cannot be re-enrolled when it is revealed to other people. When the transformed data is used for authentication, the original biometric data can be protected. In this paper, we combine a fingerprint verification system with a fuzzy vault scheme to protect the fingerprint data of a smartphone user. In addition, the transformed data using a fuzzy vault scheme increases the security as it is concealed by the steganography scheme. The result of the experiment using fingerprint databases shows that the proposed scheme provides a high level of convenience and security for authentication of a smartphone having with a fingerprint sensor.

To produce a level-3 monthly composite image from daily level-2 Sea-viewing Wide Field-of-view Sensor (SeaWiFS) chlorophyll-a concentration data set in the East Sea, we applied four average methods such as the simple average method, the geometric mean method, the maximum likelihood average method, and the weighted averaging method. Prior to performing each averaging method, we classified all pixels into normal pixels and abnormal speckles with anomalously high chlorophyll-a concentrations to eliminate speckles from the following procedure for composite methods. As a result, all composite maps did not contain the erratic effect of speckles. The geometric mean method tended to underestimate chlorophyll-a concentration values all the time as compared with other methods. The weighted averaging method was quite similar to the simple average method, however, it had a tendency to be overestimated at high-value range of chlorophyll-a concentration. Maximum likelihood method was almost similar to the simple average method by demonstrating small variance and high correlation (r=0.9962) of the differences between the two. However, it still had the disadvantage that it was very sensitive in the presence of speckles within a bin. The geometric mean was most significantly deviated from the remaining methods regardless of the magnitude of chlorophyll-a concentration values. Its bias error tended to be large when the standard deviation within a bin increased with less uniformity. It was more biased when data uniformity became small. All the methods exhibited large errors as chlorophyll-a concentration values dominantly scatter in terms of time and space. This study emphasizes the importance of the speckle removal process and proper selection of average methods to reduce composite errors for diverse scientific applications of satellite-derived chlorophyll-a concentration data.

Purpose: This research investigated falls due to obstacles that occur among elderly people by assessing changes in the values of plantar foot force, peak force, and plantar foot pressure in elderly subjects while they were stepping over obstacles of different heights. Methods: The subjects were 20 elderly people aged 70-80 years; Pressure was measured on flat ground(0 cm), and after installing obstacles of 8 cm and 12 cm using the F-scan system, which is a resistance-type pressure sensor. A one-way analysis of variance was performed to compare pressure on each part of the foot according to various heights after collecting data using the Tekscan program. The least significant difference test was used for the post-hoc analysis, A p-value <0.05 was considered significant. Results: The force value for the toe area (parts 1, and 2) and contact pressure increased significantly with the 12 cm obstacle (p<0.05). The peak force value and the peak contact pressure for part 1 increased significantly with the 12 cm obstacle (p<0.05). Conclusion: Larger changes appeared in the functions and structure of the foot while subjects walked over obstacles of different heights compared to flatland walking. This result suggests that people have safety strategies to prevent falls, and that there is a need for a more realistic approach through practice to overcome obstacles of various heights to prevent falls.

This paper presents the assessment of 7-wire strand monitoring using acoustic emission technique for bridges. 7-wire strand is widely used construction materials to provide additional tensile force to bridges. PSC (PreStressed Concrete) bridge and cable-stayed bridge are representatives for such cases. However, as the bridge aging progresses recently, corrosion problems of strand are emerging. For this reason, various NDT (Non-Destructive Test) methods for cable inspection are being studied and applied to the field. One of the NDT methods, acoustic emission technique, is known as an effective technique to detect cable damage and breakage. In this study, to evaluate the applicability of acoustic emission technique to bridges, acoustic emission signals according to damage of the strand were acquired and analyzed by tensile test. Moreover, The optimal AE sensor type was selected for field application. As a result, it is considered that the acoustic emission technique will be able to detect corrosion breakage and signs of rupture.

The implementation of HACCP(Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) which is a systematic preventive approach to food safety is increasing in school feed or food manufacture. Thus, there are several automatic systems to assist HACCP management, however the most of existing systems are one of computer programs or correcting sensor data programs as ancillary means. Therefore, to be applied to efficiently automate HACCP system, the HACCP supporting computer system should be easy usability of the personnel involved in the HACCP operations and must be able to manage in real time the various HACCP data. In this paper, we develop a web-based HACCP automatic system operating freely available from any Internet computing environments. This system can be used as the management system of all the processes of HACCP and make possible to manage a broad range of operating information through the web server. So, the results from operation of the proposed automatic HACCP system can be consistently systematic.

We present the synthesis and characterization of DTPA-bis(histidylamide) (1a), DTPA-bis(aspartamide) (1b), and their gadolinium complexes of the type $[Gd(L)(H_2O)]$ (2a:L = 1a; 2b:L = 1b). Thermodynamic stabilities and $R_1$ relaxivities of 2a-b compare well with Omniscan$^{(R)}$, a well-known commercial, extracellular (ECF) MRI CA which adopts the DTPA-bis(amide) framework for the chelate: $R_1$ = 5.5 and 5.1 $mM^{-1}$ for 2a and 2b, respectively. Addition of the Cu(II) ion to a solution containing 2b triggers relaxivity enhancement to raise $R_1$ as high as 15.3 $mM^{-1}$, which corresponds to a 300% enhancement. Such an increase levels off at the concentration beyond two equiv. of Cu(II), suggesting the formation of a trimetallic ($Gd/Cu_2$) complex in situ. Such a relaxivity increase is almost negligible with Zn(II) and other endogenous ions such as Na(I), K(I), Mg(II), and Ca(II). In vivo MR images and the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) obtained with an aqueous mixture of 2b and Cu(II) ion in an 1:2 ratio demonstrate the potentiality of 2 as a copper responsive MRI CA.

We proposed the context based user profile which is aware of its user's situation and based on user's situation it recommends personalized services. The user profile which consists of (context, service) pair can be acquired by the context and the service usage of a user; it then can be used to recommend personalized services for the user. In this paper, we show how they can be evolved without previously known user information so that not to violate privacy during the learning phase; in the result our user profile can be applied to any new environment without any modification to model only except context profiles. Using context-awareness based user profile, the service usage pattern of a user can be learned by the union of contexts and the preferred services can be recommended by the current environments. Finally, we evaluate the precision of proposed approach using simulation with data sets of UCI depository and Weka tool-kit.
In this paper, chamber(Circuit breaker compartment of C-GIS) made of stainless steel with 4 mm width is used. Artificial defect was made on enclosure or HV conductor of chamber and $SF_6$ gas was injected into it according to pressure. In this experiment, Acoustic emission sensors of different types was used to compare sensitivity to detect acoustic signal occurred by Partial discharge(PD) of according to types and resonance frequency in $SF_6$ gas atmosphere. Sensors used in tests was R6I, R15I and 2/4/6 Pre-Amplifier connected with R6IU without pre. amp. In case of R6IU, gain was adjusted with 40 dB like other sensors and operated by differential mode. Post amplifier(post. amp) and band pass filter(BPF) were developed Gain of post. amp. is 60 dB and BPF has band width of $50{\sim}300$ kHz. Also, envelope circuit developed reduces frequency of AE sensor. As a result, in $SF_6$ atmosphere, R6IU and R6I had resonance frequency of 60 Hz was better than R15I. Also, R6IU was better than R6I because of type property of pre.amp. had differential mode.

In this paper, we provide an authentication technology for verifying dynamic signature made by finger on smart phone. In the proposed method, we are using the Auto-Encoder-based 1 class model in order to effectively distinguish skilled forgery signature. In addition to the basic dynamic signature characteristic information such as appearance and velocity of a signature, we use accelerometer value supported by most of the smartphone. Signed data is re-sampled to give the same length and is normalized to a constant size. We built a test set for evaluation and conducted experiment in three ways. As results of the experiment, the proposed acceleration sensor value and 1 class model shows 6.9% less EER than previous method.
