Speed measurement algorithm for low-resolution magnetic encoder of industrial electric vehicle (산업용 전기 차량의 저 분해능 마그네틱 엔코더를 사용한 속도 측정 방법)

  • Recently, many industrial electric vehicles have been developed using various ac-motor drive technologies including field oriented vector control. Generally, a magnetic encoder is installed to have resistance to vibration and dust, and it is cost-effective. However, it is difficult to get an accurate rotor speed for high performance of vector control, because a resolution of the magnetic encoder is low and its phase accuracy is poor. In order to overcome this hardware problem, this study proposes a speed measurement algorithm using moving window for low-resolution magnetic encoder. This algorithm is experimentally tested and successfully applied to traction application of industrial electric vehicle.

  • Direct torque control(DTC) of AC motor has the fast torque and flux dynamic responses even though it has very simple scheme to implement. DTC is also very simple in its implementation because it needs only two hysteresis comparators and switching vector table for both flux and torque control. The amplitude of hysteresis band greatly influences on the drive performance such as flux and torque ripple, switching frequency and current harmonics. Therefore, authors analysis flux and torque hysteresis bands is suggested considering switching frequency and harmonic distortion of currents.

The Vibration Control of Flexible Manipulators using Adaptive Input Shaper (적응 입력다듬기를 이용한 유연한 조작기의 진동제어)

  • The position control accuracy of a robot arm is significantly deteriorated when a long slender arm robot is operated at a high speed. In this case, the robot arm needs to be modeled as a flexible structure, not a rigid one, and its control system needs to be designed with its elastic modes taken into account. In this paper, the vibration control scheme of a one-link flexible manipulator using adaptive input shaper in conjunction with PID controller is presented. The robot consists of a flexible arm manufactured with a thin aluminium plate, an AC servo motor with a harmonic drive for speed reduction, an optical encoder and an accelerometer. On-line identification of the vibration mode is done using the pruned decimation-in-time FFT algorithm to estimate the parameter of the input shaper. Experimental results of the flexible manipulator with a PID controller and input shaper are provided to show the effectiveness of the advocated controllers.

  • 시스템이 슬라이딩모드의 존재조건을 만족하는 경우, 전동기의 상태가 전동기의 파라미터에 의존하지 않고 결정되는 절환 초평면에 수렴하기 때문에 파라미터에 불감한 응답을 나타낸다. 본 연구는 소형 유도전동기에 의한 외란 및 파라미터의 변동에 대하여 로바스트(robust)와 동시에 정확한 응답을 나타내는 교류서보 전동기 구동시스템을 실현하는 것이다. 이를 실현하기 위해서 가변구조 제어이론에 기초한 슬라이딩모드 제어를 적용하여 유도전동기 자계 슬립주파수형 벡터제어를 실현한다. 이상적인 전동기에 대한 시뮬레이션의 결과에 의해서 관성, 점성마찰계수, 부하 토오크 등 의 파라미터의 변동 및 외란에 대하여 로바스터성이 있다는 것을 알 수 있고 슬라이딩모드 제어의 도입이 교류전동기 서보제어에 유효한 것을 확인하였다.

  • A soft-switching PFC-Inverter for using AC motor drive such as the inverter air-conditioner with single phase medium size is proposed. In order to improve the power factor and the efficiency, in this paper, the ZVT topoloty in the conventional PFC-Inverter is adopted. So, the operation mode of the proposed ZVT PFC-Inverter is analyzed and the optimum circuit is designed. At last, the PSPICE, PSIM simulation and experiment results are presented in order to verify the validity of the proposed circuit.

  • All the existing PWM voltage-controlled inverters, regardless of the advantages of the operation, have produced serious problems such as acoustic noise. In this raper, the PMW technique for acoustic noise reduction is implemented using randomly modulated carrier modulation. By modulating the triangular carrier in sinusoidal PWM with band-limited white noise, it is shown that the acoutic noise level and spectral density is reduced in a tone. This method shows great merit in application the AC motor drive system to particularly environment.

  • The winding insulation of low-voltage induction motors in adjustable-speed drive system with voltage-fed Inverters is substantially stressed due to the uneven voltage distribution and excessive voltage stress (dv/dt), which result in the premature insulation breakdown In this paper, the detailed insulation test results of 26 low-voltage induction motors are presented. Six different types of insulation techniques are applied to 26 motors. The insulation characteristics are analyzed with partial discharge, discharge inception voltage, AC current, and dissipation factor tests Also, insulation breakdown tests by high voltage pulses are performed, and the corresponding breakdown voltages obtained.

  • 본 논문에는 전동기 구동 가전제품에서 전해 커패시터 없이 높은 역률을 얻기 위한 제어 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 시스템은 단상 다이오드 정류기, 필름 커패시터, 3상 인버터, AC 전동기로 구성되어 있다. 높은 역률을 얻기 위해서, 이 논문은 계통 전압의 위상에 대해서 q축 전류를 지연하는 방법을 제안한다. 이 논문은 벡터제어와 Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM)방법을 사용하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 PSIM을 통하여 확인하였고, 제안한 방법의 효율을 보여주고 있다.

  • A current-controlled scheme of pulse width modulation voltage source inverter (PWM VSI) has attracted considerable attention due to its fast response with current limit and especially suitable for potentially high performance applications such as AC motor drives and UPS systems. These features yield near-sinusoidal currents in the load with reduced current peaks, lower inverter switching frequency and reduce inverter and load stresses. A high performance current-controlled inverter must have a quick response in transient state and low harmonic current in steady state. This paper compares and shows the controlled-characteristics with hysteresis controller(HC), ramp comparison controller(RCC) and predictive controller(PC) of PWM inverter to control actual current of VSI-IM.
