  • In this paper, deferred statistical convergence is defined by using deferred $Ces{\grave{a}}ro$ mean instead of $Ces{\grave{a}}ro$ mean in the definition of statistical convergence. The obtained method is compared with strong deferred $Ces{\grave{a}}ro$ mean and statistical convergence under some certain assumptions. Also, some inclusion theorems and examples are given.

  • Three-dimensional quantitative activity relationship (3D-QSAR) study for a series of arylsulfonylimidazolidinone derivatives with antitumor activity was conducted using comparative molecular field analysis (CoMFA) and comparative molecular similarity indices anaysis (CoMSIA). The in vitro cytotoxicity against human lung carcinoma (A549) exhibited a strong correlation with steric and electrostatic factors of the molecules. (omitted)

  • Fix $n-2$ elements $h_1,{\cdots},h_{n-2}$ of the quotient field B of the polynomial algebra $\mathbb{C}[x_1,x_2,{\cdots},x_n]$. It is proved that B is a Poisson algebra with Poisson bracket defined by $\{f,g\}=det(Jac(f,g,h_1,{\cdots},h_{n-2})$ for any $f,g{\in}B$, where det(Jac) is the determinant of a Jacobian matrix.

  • We review the characteristics of a geometric mean and statistical inferences based on geometric means. We also show that the statistical results obtained by the logarithmic transform and back-transformation are related to geometric means and explain how to interpret the results produced in this process.

  • The joint transform correlator (JTC) has been the best known technique for pattern recognition and identification. This paper proposes a new technique of fringe adjustment by adopting a sinusoidal amplitude-modulated iterative filter convolved with an interference fringe pattern in the joint power spectrum (JPS) domain. The comparison of our new technique and other techniques is presented to show that the newly proposed technique can successfully improve both the correlation peaks and the peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR). Simulated results of enhanced interference fringes are also presented.

  • A deep stellar analysis is introduced for the poorly studied open cluster NGC 2509. The Near-IR database of the digital Two Micron All Sky Survey (2MASS) has been used to re-estimate and refine the fundamental parameters of the cluster, i.e. age, reddening, distance, and diameter. As well as, luminosity function, mass function, total mass, relaxation time, and mass segregation of NGC 2509 have been estimated here for the first time..

  • In this study, the sliding wear in spur gears, using Archard's wear model, is analyzed. Formulas of tooth sliding wear depth along the line of action are derived. The tooth profile is modified Id make a smooth transmission of the normal loads and the cylinder profile for reducing the pressure spike is suggested. The sliding wear rate is calculated with these profiling results. We expect these modification methods to contribute to the reduction of sliding wear not only in the root, but the tip of tooth and tooth edge.

  • In this paper, we introduce the concept of (m, n)-ideals in a non-associative ordered structure, which is called an ordered Abel-Grassmann's groupoid, by generalizing the concept of (m, n)-ideals in an ordered semigroup [14]. We also study the (m, n)-regular class of an ordered AG-groupoid in terms of (m, n)-ideals.

  • In this paper, we consider the convective Cahn-Hilliard equation. Based on the regularity estimates for the semigroups, iteration technique and the classical existence theorem of global attractors, we prove that the convective Cahn-Hilliard equation possesses a global attractor in $H^k$($k\geq0$) space, which attracts any bounded subset of $H^k({\Omega})$ in the $H^k$-norm.
